Why is it called "Battle Chat" ???
I mean, I can battle and I can chat -- but I suck at multi-tasking, so I don't do both at the same time. Isn't this kinda like encouraging people to talk and text while they drive?

Also just another thing, can anyone verify if the Ice King stats I have listed are correct? I got them from MrCool's blog also, but I haven't fought that challenger in a while so I have no idea if that's the correct info.

[edit]Okay just got an RE from him so I was able to correct the stats (speed was a bit off), but I'm still not sure if the EXP payout is correct because it doesn't have that on the weapon selection page.

Awesome! Will you add in the difficulty too? (Easy / Medium / Hard / Very Hard / Extremely Hard / Impossible) I think it could help people quickly sort through which challengers they want or still need. :)

I'm excited to fight the morostide challengers again too! It'd be wicked if we could get new challengers as well, like maybe an older brother of Rouland who is even harder than Rouland himself hahaha. :P

I haven't fought the castle in so long I forgot what's good to use. Which weapons and scrolls did you use against it? Also, it can only be frozen on the first turn right? Can it freeze and steal from you throughout the battle? Blessings and curses are enabled right?

Is 35k stats the new cap? And pets who have reached that can't do BQs anymore? I might have missed the news about that. Is there anything else I should know about the new cap?

Yeah, I might be changing the list up a bit if I make a separate thread for it, so I'll add the difficulties in sometime later when I do that.

My default set only has 2 chance freezing scrolls in it, one of which also partial blocks all icons. I have another scroll set though that is dedicated to all freezing scrolls since I too cannot equip all the scrolls I own.

The castle's icons are all over the place. He can do a lot of almost anything. The starter weapons he has in the beginning that are breakable do a lot of physical and light damage. The infinite use weapons he uses do a lot of earth, fire, magma and dark. The strategy that worked best for me to get a couple of wins was to use the OHS, Cronus and AU. I started with Cronus and AU in the beginning, then switched over to OHS and Cronus when he ran out of the disposable start weapons (around 40k health or so). I also double blasted once his disposables were gone to get a better chance of blasting his rally call. I used my mecha in the beginning to boost immediately. The last things I had were two healers. He can only be frozen on the first turn. He doesn't steal but he does have a low chance to freeze so you will want to be parch protected. Everything is enabled but he has a blessing that activates right after the first turn that protects him from freezing.

Scrolls I used were: 3 cobalts, 3 fatal fire, 1 SE, the void, 1 shriek, 1 gotf and skelly

Battle Quests done through Level 20. Looking at Sandragon for Level 21. Made several attempts but no luck so far.

Interesting new dilemma. Now that I know that Tos is able to defeat all the Level 21 - Level 24 challengers, and that I have limited time and only a single skip. Should I skip the first difficult challenger I get in hopes that I get all easier ones and progress to Level 25, or should I just stop there and hope I have some free time later in the day. Yesterday, I opted to stop at Surge and never got back. Hmmm???

- Oooh - congratulations on finishing ten wins against General Error and getting your first Psycho Smasher! That should come in handy.

I understand that it isn't challenging to battle when you already know you're going to win. But with the old UI, sometimes, at least, there were days when I did play and have fun. I would try different things like seeing how far I could go using only a single weapon, or just Aftershocks. Or try to end every battle with full health, or other combinations. It made sense since the page was there in front of me and I had to look at it and click on my choices no matter what. Now, since I can't see everything anyway, and since it is faster for battles where you are overpowered, I just turn on preselection and click without looking or thinking. But, as I said, that is fast, but feels like a chore, rather than like fun. I know I like the old interface a lot better when things get hard, but I'm not sure whether the speed is worth the lack of enjoyment for daily BQs. I know I probably wouldn't have finished off the mini gelatins this year without the speed increase, but since that was a one time thing that probably would have been a chore given the numbers anyway, the tradeoff wasn't so obvious (at least to me - of course I was also totally exhausted by the time I got around to the minis :-) ). But for daily BQs my feelings are still very much mixed.

I am not sure whether it is allowed to tell you the maximum number of visits (I'm not sure how much you are supposed to discover on your own). But you can easily find out for yourself. I can tell you that you don't get banned for the day. An hour after you are banned you can go back to BHH and start again.

- for me, if Nightlady drops a shriek it will be my first serious freezing scroll (I do have one Perilous Whirlpool but it's a low chance to freeze) so that will be exciting.

I hope that you are able to defeat Rouland and win your MW, as well as all the other Morostide challengers.

Yes, Cynde is probably not quite ready for Vintage Prodigy. I'm hoping to be able to manage five wins with Tos - her stats are about 1520 so she's high T9. But Cynde will easily defeat Vintage Prodigy when he next returns.

Wow - huge congratulations on getting 5 wins on Vintage Prodigy with Oranos. What did you use besides the trident? (I have one of those so maybe Tos has a chance. :-) )

I suppose I could buy a Sierrac Flair, but my speed is still well under 2000 so I'm not sure if it's worth it. Any thoughts?

In terms of freezing, I had 2 Shriek of Despair Scrolls, an Energized Helmet, and 1 borrowed Psycho Smasher Scroll. (So that's 4 almost certain freezes.) I also have my Gelaspell Scroll, Captured Eternal Flame, and UltimaPlus Tag. (All of these have low-moderate chances to freeze.) My goal was to start chain freezing. If luck smiled on me, I could freeze and hit all the way down, and VP would never get a chance to hit back. It was glorious.

So, swing with STS + main hitter + SoD. (Prevents VP from 1-shotting, and starts the icy party.) Then bomb + main hitter + SoD. Then 2 main hitters + Psycho Smasher. Then main hitter + 100% freezer + attack scroll. Then try to get lucky. Main hitter + Captured Eternal Flame + Gelaspell. If lucky, main hitter + Ultimaplus + Gelaspell. 2 main hitters + Gelaspell til oblivion.

(I also had a Rainbow Vortex that I would throw in when he first unfroze. Pair that with the Captured Eternal or Ultima + Gelaspell for one last ditch effort. (RV has a low chance to freeze.)) So, since the 3 scrolls aren't 100% freeze, they could always fail. My aim was basically to just get lucky. If I could keep him frozen through my scrolls, helmet, and at least one or two hits, he'd be dead. I tied a whole lot, and lost a whole lot more. (Note, Ely is low T10)

- thanks for the info. Since I don't own any freezing scrolls except for one Perilous Whirlpool and Tos only has 37 AP, I might need to try the trident and hope for Merana's Blessing strategy. I do have the helmet and the UltimaPlus Tag (I love this!), as well as Rapier of Error, so it might be a mixed strategy. My biggest worry is those one hit kills. Tos only has 1524 hp so she will have trouble surviving his attack. Using AoN (and maybe STS) might help - or possibly blasting. Or I could try Shinwas Sword and get lucky with that blessing. I'll have to try several things and see what happens. Should be a good challenge.

- Ah, yeah, the low AP would certainly put a damper on my strategy. 2 shrieks, 1 psycho, and 1 gela alone are 64 AP. Ely has 92 AP total, which means I can bring in a good variety. My pet's hp is 1638, so I know your pain for the one-shots. Occasionally, VP would only knock her down most of the way, and I could get a second hit in before dying. I was using Aftershocks and Cobalt Eternal scrolls to help with that though. I think I switched off my trident, because someone said something about VP blocking most water attack. Used Bludgeon of Mass Extinction and Deadwood Scissorbeak for a lot of my attacks. Otherwise, that's where my advice ends. At this point, I'm really heavily leaning on freezing. Once a boss comes around that resists that, I'll be screwed. :P

Decided to go ahead and work on the difficulty levels for the challengers.

If anyone knows Lich Lord's difficulty (like easy, medium, whatever) please let me know, because I couldn't find that one.

Also if you know the difficulties of the other 2013 challengers, I'd appreciate that info as well. I got most of it from MrCool's, but just confirmation that I have the right info would be nice.

I went ahead and put the updated version of the list in my post, but once I hear back from then I'll hopefully/probably be making a separate thread for it (and also probably split the secret and cash shop challengers into different posts). But I thought I'd go ahead and put it up just so you can see it, hope everything looks okay.

If people could help by posting code so its mostly just copy/pasting into my current shell I could still update occasionally, but I'm not going to have a ton of time to update it right now. If anyone else wants to steal that formatting, I would not mind.
