I like that about it too! I was a newbie with Awakening so there's a whole lot of history I'm unfamiliar with. I want to go back and play the GBA games but it's not as satisfying on an emulator, imo, so I've been looking at buying a console and maybe a flashcard as The Binding Blade was never translated so I'd have to play a fan patch. The flashcard seems like the most expensive part though, surprisingly.

sorry on the mass of pings but yeh, still hopeing on a remake of some of the older games with Casual mode put in like what is (hopefuly) happening with Echos. They can keep all the other mechanics the same ( though revamping the Laguz mechanic in Telius and allowing units to gain more class options threw sapports would be nice).

I now have two 5 star reds incase you missed the edit. I did pull more duplicates but keeping most of them this time ( though with 52/200 units, we'll see on how long) I did merge Niles and Setsuna though as their duplacates were higher stars and it saves resorces on promoteing this way.

Any idea on what levels the GHB on Narcian was by chance? I heard Xander is next but I'm starting to show interest in Narcian on his personality alone even though I have two green wyvern riders and I heard his was easy so I wouldn't mind trying if/when he returns.

Looks like he was level 35 so should be pretty doable when he comes back around. :)

Haha I'm literally so... risk-averse that I've never merged a unit (wait what do you mean I have 350 orbs to spare hmmm?). If you're pulling dupes of the same unit, it's definitely advisable to look at their IVs so you can make a reasoned decision. This wiki has information on each character and also IVs, builds and advice on how to develop them. The number of kills a +Atk and -Atk can get, for example, can be pretty dramatic. A 5* isn't necessarily better than a 4*.

And yeah I'd love to see more remakes! I'm looking forward to Shadows next month; I'm currently replaying Conquest (RIP me) to get my fix but I look forward to meeting new characters and experiencing some of the older mechanics. :)

Checked the stat calculator and it seems the 5 star Kagaro is a attack+/Spd - variant.

I have no way to tell with the 4 star --; she's lv19 and I don't want to rase her to lv40 if I still don't know what her fate will be. I did pull two more colorless this morning with free orbs...but both were duplicates and decided to merge with the possibly slightly better looking Wrys ( the lv1 actually had more attack then his lv3 buddy and more resistence with the rest of his stats being the same) rather then hold off since I've not heard as many great things about him and I have two healers that are holding their own ( with Serra being the strognest of the two)

Edit: and after much leveling and two attempts I FINALLY won my first GHB and got the 2* female robin. I'm not ready for the 3* female Robin fight or Navarre's two options but at lest it's something.

This new banner is... oh wow, oh wow. It's something else. I've never went to pull so damn fast.

I spent just under 300 orbs in total (bless my hoarding) and now am the proud owner of the following 5s: Lucina, Corrin M, Ryoma, Eldigan, Lukas, Azura, Azura again and Hector. Damn. I'm so happy! I was scared the Ryoma wouldn't come, but he blessed me with +Atk -Def for my troubles. I did actually pull colourless, occasionally, but no Takumi nor other cool archers, like Klein. I did get my first Kagero though! OH and I got my first Nino! Two of them! Both 3 but I'm not complaining!

XD Well, for them at least, not for the players wallets! I'll only have be able to have like 2 pulls max at this banner but I'm still going to try anyway xD I'm not getting my hopes up though!

I had no idea you could get a 3* Kagero by the way! Maybe it was added recently. I wouldn't mind getting one xD

Did you see the banner for the next voting gauntlet? Mage vs mage! Not sure if I should save for the female banner there. I would love a Tharja, Linde or Julia, mages seem really strong post-inheritance (and a Reinhardt, he wrecks me hard in the arena every damn time).

Yeah, I saw that too! Considering I already have Linde and a 4* Tharja, I'll probably pass on it - A Julia would be nice, but as a f2p I won't have many orbs to spend on it, I don't think it would be worth it!

I'm excited for the new voting gauntlet though, and I hope that the new rule will make some of the fights more interesting. Robin and Tharja are probably going to be the most popular teams... I have no idea who I should join yet, ahah

If Gamestop still has it's buy one get one 25%, I might get two 10$ cards for pulls tomarrow. I did manage to get 5 free orbs today but was greeted with 4 blues and a red ( wanted to pull a colorless). I got a 3* Jagen for my troubles but never got that unit before so it's not bad.

Currently I am just trying to get what units I don't have regardless of stars just to have them and then get their stars up ( hence why I was just happy to get the 2* female Robin rather then try to grind for the 3*) unless I get a better duplacate. I am still holding off on merges though.....mostly -looks at Wrys-

Need to decide on the fate of the duplacate Raven, Virion, and Stral ( I think). I got another Tiki but I've heard that she's handy for skill inheratence for certain units.

Thanks to the May quests, I had enough orbs this morning to try for a pull, and I got really lucky: Hector! He's ATK+/SPD- so I think it's decent IV. I hope he will bring me some arena defenses once I train him up ahah! And he will be helpful for the armored quests too. What a good way to start a day!

Congrats on the Takumi pull, ! I wish I had a good archer, I'm not even asking for Takumi, I'd be happy with Klein! xD

he's sadly a -spd/+res type but at lest I have him so i'll be useing him x_x.

I managed to pull a 5* Renhart yesterday with what orbs I managed to farm, again a -spd version but he's nice to have as I lack a blue mage and I heard how powerful he can be so planing to wrk with him regardless. Also pulled Camilla with freebes the same day I pulled Takumi ( 4* though)

Haha man I really want a decent archer, too. I've always been drawn to Klein's skill set and he's always a pain to face in Arena/Training tower with how strong he is on the offensive, But so many junk pulls from colourless. Anna ate one of my spare Niles earlier (lol, -Atk +Res) for Iceberg and I felt not a pang of regret. I also fed a spare Robin M to Hector for Bonfire inheritance. But now I need to grind his SP. u_u I haven't started on the Tenth Stratum orb quests yet, though, as I'm still training my stack of fresh 5*s, so I'm sure he'll get a lot of action out of Armour Emblem shenanigans.

Managed to get Xander on my third attempt on Lunatic. Took a few positioning shenanigans but Ryoma pulled through for me eventually. Excited for the update next week!

Interested to see what the update meens. I managed to get my defeat lv20+ enamys with Catria (typo) done, just leveling Est ( who is a +2 due to merging before I got advice)

I'm holding off for the freebe orbs tomarrow though so I can get another summon in. The newest banner has some interest but I'll probably stick with the Hero one at lest abit longer. Not sure i'll keep pulling greens as I'm not having great luck with getting new units but I am hectorless.

Edit: and finding out why as it appears I've pulled everything but one 4-5* and many 5* exclusives. Might be better to stick with blues for awhile ( or reds if on the hero banner if I don't have Ryoma yet) or colorless...but only on a different banner. I don't know what i'll do with two Takumis :p

The new defensive map quests are B R U T A L. Okay. Well 5-2 is brutal. I managed to clear the others on my first attempt (4-2 was hard and I got lucky, to be honest) but I cannot crack this last challenge. I skirted pretty close yesterday but ended up swarmed on the final turns, so took a time out to focus on levelling again.

I was somewhat lucky with the female mages banner: pulled 5* Linde (+Spd -Atk), 5* Tharja (+Def -Atk) and 4* Nino (+Atk -Res) in around 35 orbs, which was a total result. Not the best natures obvs, but Linde doubles everything with a her boon and you can patch up her attack with an Odin inherit for his Blade+ tome. I'm going to feather up by Nino first, after I reach level 40 (for the extra SP along the way) then bring up my 4* Odin and pass him along, I think it'll be worth it. I also dipped in and inherited Vantage 3 onto Ryoma given how useful I've found him over the past few weeks. It's hard for me to commit to these things but I've almost capped by units so that's pushing me haha.

I agree on the defensive maps, I'm stuck on 4-2 and 5-2 too! Having to do 5-2 with a colourless unit for the quest makes it harder too since I don't have a good archer (I have Faye but an archer that can't do counter attacks is probably not the best for this map...). Maybe I should try with a healer but it seems there are too many enemies to keep him safe. So for now I'm just focusing on finishing the 10th stratum quests (almost done with cavalry, then I will have armored units left, going to try and see if Hector can solo a few maps so I don't have to train Sheena and Gwendolyn!). I will get back on them later :X (there's always the possibility of using light blessings, but it kinda kills the challenge xD)

Congrats on the great mages pulls! Linde is awesome, she helped me so much in arena and also for the Xander GHB. Even if you did not get the best bane, she will do wonders! I was thinking on joining her team for the voting gauntlet actually, but I saw she fights against Tharja first round so I'm not so sure anymore :X

Yeah I was attempting it with Lissa yesterday for added sustain but ended up losing her. :c She's my best colourless unit, though. I tried with Kagero but she doesn't have the stats to keep up with the map; she has 30 speed as a neutral 4* which means she struggles to double anything of note. I think a healer will be the way to go for me.

Haha those are the quests I'm still doing as well! I'm at 12/15 for the cavalry quests: I'm running Eldigan, S!Xander, Sullly and a low level Gunter for buffs. Trying to target sword maps, mostly, as Sully can dismantle them even at 4* with Swordbreaker and her Sapphire Lance. S!Xander can tank and Eldigan has raw damage on his side.

I'm only at 2/15 for amoured quests haha. :x Running Hector (Pivot and Bonfire inherits), Zephiel, Sheena and Draug. The last two are pretty handy, I've found, with access to the defensive armour buffs. I'm really just focused on supporting Hector so try and add both, safely, for +10 def/res with Fortify and Ward in action. Zephiel just kinda... mooches around and tries to stay out of trouble haha. They're much harder to work with, though, the movement is so limiting and I'm relying on choke points that Hector can hold in place. :x I'll get around to it, eventually! I'm getting Xander to 40 right now in case I need him as a bonus unit next week. He can stay at 4*, though.

And I think I'm gonna inherit Desperation onto Linde and Nino as I have three Shannas sat around. What build are you running atm?

Thanks to the cavalry quests I found out I only had one Hone Cavalry unit and that is Gunter... :X So I'm training him, still trying the 10th stratum when I see that it has 3 units and no mage, or all greens/reds (Stahl and Xander have good defence, but their resistance is crap! I have Ursula/Sully/Reinhardt for the reds). I'm at 12/15 so almost done! This costed me lots of stamina xD

I never looked seriously enough into SI to consider inheriting something onto Linde (or any other unit so far), just using her normal build for now :X But I really should get started on it, I'm kind of afraid it will then make arenas runs harder though! (at least I have some units with tons of SP ready for when I finally decide to get them proper builds).

Haha I've been kinda bitten by the inheritance bug, particularly after getting such good pulls on the Hero Fest banner: it seems like a waste to not maximise their potential! And I ended up inheriting Vantage onto Ryoma mostly so I'd start getting more defence wins. :x I've lucked out with one per week recently but the bigger feather incentive is drawing me in. Hoping I start to clock in a few more soon.

I am very much enjoying Heroes at the moment, I am currently training up my Xander so he can be a five star unit, he's pairing very nicely with Cordelia at the moment.

I mainly came here because I needed to tell someone I pulled Hector and Azura on the same summon from my last 20 orbs on the hero fest banner and couldn't quite believe it!!!!

I'm loving both Azura and Hector and I feel like I must've been lost before them haha. Azura is pretty wonderful at decimating reds in Arena already, I'm not really sure where to take her build. I should invest because she's become so pivotal to my team.
