I'm F2P. There's a bit of an orb drought at the moment as daily orbs aren't in rotation, which does help build up the stocks, but there's still quests and other freebies to help balance that out. I'm conservative with my orbs: my roster is pretty solid, now, so I don't feel the pressure to pull on every banner and even then will only target specific colours. That makes the orbs go a little further! I'm sat at 170 orbs at the moment and waiting for the next great thing to come along.

Yeah, they will keep any inherited skills. Also, if you want to merge them they will pass on the skills that way, too. And yes, sometimes, it might be worth promoting for inheritance. I promoted my Odin to feed to Linde yesterday because I wanted his Blárblade+. Weapons would be the ones to really consider, as the + versions are exclusively locked behind 5*s (note you can't inherit any unique weapons - ones without a + at the end of their names).

I wouldn't say it's a top priority, and promoting units like Sharena and Anna will serve you better in the short-term as they're decent and in constant arena rotation, and you're never going to pull a better version of them. But it has a place if you're firm on a skill set. Thus far, I've promoted my Nino, Sharena, Robin M and Anna up to 5*, alongside the Odin. I think Alfonse will be my next project when I'm finished with Linde, and he ideally wants a Brave Sword+ so yeah, that'll be an expensive one.

Kinda disappointed there were no new quests to go with the banner. :c Hope this Veronica event starts soon! I'm just burning my stamina on building Linde up at the moment. At the moment she's inherited from Shanna, Frederick and Odin haha, and kitted out with Blárblade+, Moonbow and Desperation. Her final inherit is Life and Death, as I have a spare Minerva with poor IVs. She's an absolute beast already, though. I need to find some way to fit her on my arena team!

ok, tempted to feed a Hinata to Lloyd and a Wrys to Serra. Been promoteing the mentioned story units and I'll likely start promoteing the GHB units before long. Waiting on the feathers to build for Serra first

x_x and while I'm still keeping spares I did lessen the number some. I need to build feathers quickly so alot of my units aren't waiting and I've had... pretty stressful IRL events right now. I know game stress adding to it ( especally this sort) is silly but having all this fodder with nothing ready for it to be used on added alittle to it. I'm keeping the Hinatas as I'm sure I have units that can use them but I cut down my army of Tikis from 4 to 3 as the only dragons I have right now are Fae and Corrin F.

I think the +Spd might be a little better, only because he gains +4 from a Spd boon as opposed to the usual +3. I fed a spare as Swap fodder for Ryoma, it's pretty great in the tight maps when Reposition lets you down and for navigating forested maps, too.

And don't stress! You have space, just take it as slow as you need. Fury is a great skill and whoever you inherit it on will appreciate it!

I have a Neutral or Bad ( forgot which) IVed Stral that I got to lv22 that I was going to merge with which ever was the better pick ( i'll keep the other around as fodder).

I plan to give one Hinata to Lloyd once I work on promoting and getting skills on both, currently a fury build seems to be the most suggested for Lloyd.

Working on a Wrys to eventually give to Serra while trying to do what I can to get feathers. I have a unconventional build in mind for her and the neutral Henry ( going to keep both Henrys). Not sure if they will be just as good in action as they are in concept but I feel it's worth attempting with these two due to what I've seen so far out of them.

I've been so hooked on Shadows I hardly played Heroes those last days! I don't mind so much though because I easily managed the Kozaki Yusuke quests, and I only have the Narcian quests left to do (I might have to look up a strategy for the killing Hard Narcian with Narcian, that one doesn't seem so easy). There's an update coming on Tuesday and then we get June quests next Thursday so I'm really looking forward to having new things to do in the game!

About Shadows, the game is really great, it is kinda different from the others FE games though. I've just started chapter 3, I feel this is where the serious battles begin! haha

Been home alone all day today so I've started just randomly getting 4* and below to lv20 so they can be ready for promotes after Serra. 19k or of the 20k feathers to go x_x arena can't end soon enough for me to get my 1k feathers...

Me too, I have just started Act 4. I'm really enjoying the plot so far and the interactions between most of the characters. It's fun guessing all the plot points and then seeing if I am right or wrong. I'm trying to avoid spoilers so it's all a surprise! Agree it feels very different from the other games I've played though.

I've only got the last Kozaki quest to do on Insane, and I beat Narcian without too much issue. I didn't manage to beat Lloyd on Insane but I got him at 3* so I'm good and I'm sure he will return at some point. I still haven't completed the Rite of Shadows quests so I'm going to spend some time trying to get those. Probably a bit late of the last of the May Orb quests, but I'm also going to spend some time building my flier, armour and armour teams as well.

Don't you have any hero that is close to the hero merit reward? Maybe it could help you get that last 1k before Tuesday?

I'm pretty curious about the bride banner, even if I don't think I'll pull from that one (but it's okay because at least I'll be able to save orbs). Waiting to see who's released first though. We know we get Lyn for sure, I wonder who the others will be!

I'll check, I think only Ike's might be maxed due to the sudden influx of feathers from him.

I did use 200 feathers on one of my Narcian's recently though so still may not get fully there but every bit helps with how many are waiting for promotions now x_x I only have 8 5*'s currently ( Kagero doesn't count as I want to merger her with the better IVed 4* when that one promotes) and I want to up that some.

I'm really enjoying Shadows of Valentia too! It's different (the map designs are ridiculous and I seem to spend most of my time sniping with Leon) but the art direction is beautiful and the voice acted lines add something different. I've almost finished Act 3 with Celica, just have her final battle to go, and then I get to plough through Alm's route.

I've been burning through my stamina on Heroes but have found myself a little... bored lately. Not with the game, really, just feeling the lack of content. I can dust through most quests on my first bar of stamina so then it's just the training tower grind, and I've finished outfitting my key character with whatever inheritance options I had available (I'll try and post some pics later) and grinding their SP so I've started bringing random 4*s to level 40 in case I need them for the upcoming 'vortex', semi-permadeath event. Feels like a bit of a waste but I literally have nothing else to do haha.

I did get 5k feathers from this week's arena (and 3 orbs whoop) which means I'll be able to promote Alfonse soooooonish. Before his next arena rotation, easily. I grinded his SP up from 2* so he has around 1k banked at the moment (4* level 40), for the inevitable Draug upgrade and merge for Brave Sword+. All this for Alfonse hah and his frosted tips. Lucky man.

The brides are k. Seems like a lot of talk around Cordelia being the best archer in the game but I'm not sure, might keep hold of my orbs as none of the others really appeal to me and I don't want to pull the unit I don't want (looking at you, -Atk Spring Xander). We'll seeee. Maaaybe. I do like Cordelia.

Oh my god, I can relate so much about Leon! Especially in that map in the desert that had so much archers... He's pretty much my best unit in the game so far! (and it will probably stay that way haha). What difficulty are you playing on? I've been doing it in Hard mode (since they said Normal was more for the beginners so I was worried it would be too easy) and I've been doing good so far, but I'm starting on Act 4 and the first battle on Alm's route seems to be really harder - but I only had one try at it so far so maybe I was not using the good strategy...

About Heroes, the lack of content is getting me a little bored too... I've finished all the quests (well, I didn't get to do the newest ones yet but I've seen there were only 3 of them so it's only a matter of time...). I'm really happy about having Olivia and Sharena in the new arena rotation though because I didn't train Lloyd yet! haha

And wow, I just admire your dedication to Alfonse! ahah My last 5* promotion was Anna, so now I have to look at what I can do with her with SI. But really I feel like I only have Niles and Setsunas and other useless units to feed (well I also have some Lonqu's and Hanas though so I shouldn't complain. I'm just seriously lacking some Fury fodders!) I'm also sitting on 45k feathers but I'm so undecisive about who I should promote next! (maybe Reinhardt but I'm torn because he is HP+/SPD-, so the bane is OK but +ATK would be the best. But then I might never ever pull another one. Especially that he's hardly usable as a 4* so if I don't promote him I'll almost never use him. But what if I promote him and then I get a better IV one shortly after? XD I know I should just not worry about IV especially as a f2p...)

LOL even worse is that I didn't realise I could recruit Palla and Catria before I went east, so went through the whole desert section without them. The archer fort battle took me SO LONG. Also the final battle with the archers stationed on the east and west of the fort, so, again, I had to use Leon to snipe them as no other units could. Kamui and Saber just sat there and plugged the corridors while they destroyed the countless waves of undead from the Cantor, and I slowly manoeuvred Leon to kill them. So slow. I'm doing hard classic and yeah, it's fine at the moment. I saw someone say it lands between Birthright and Conquest for difficulty and I'm probs feeling that. Though Mila's Turnwheel has made the unexpected deaths that much less frustrating and I've been able to run through without any permanent losses.

I gave my Anna Iceberg from Niles as it's a little more reliable than Astra but haven't done anything since. Fury 3 would be ideal but no fodder either. And yeah, I know what you mean about promotes. My +Atk Nino is good but I'm definitely hoping for a +Spd variant down the line, her speed is a pretty stark contrast to Linde with what she can and can't double. I'd be tempted to merge or inherit her down the line (probs merge as she already has Desperation). So yeah, I feel penalised for using a less-than-perfect nature and I'd feel a bit disappointed with a non-+Atk Reinhardt but he probs murders everything anyway.

So I got Serra to 5* today and about to pull with 40 orbs ( this is between free ones, 6 I was sitting on since the lloyd banner, and 15 from a play card)

Edit: my results...4* Azama ( new unit for me), 3* Olivia, 3* Lanslow, 4* Sophia, 3* Gunter, 4* Gordin, 5* Bride Charlotte ( Yess!!! got one ), 3* Florina, 3* Selena, and a 3* Henry.

Yeah they're limited-time outfits that'll probs be available once per year, with different outfits and weapon types. We had spring characters a couple of months ago featuring Xander, Camilla, Chrom and Lucina.

There's supposed to be another Lyn coming later in the year, after summer possibly, and people are speculating she'll be a bow-wielder to tie-in with her Blazing Blade promotion. Ike, Roy and Lucina will also get additional outfits. Healer Lyn seems... okay... and she has a couple of gimmicks which set her apart. But yeah. Healers.

Yeah, I think I'm going to save my f2p orbs for a focus that's a little more melee-oriented. I'm kind of oversaturated in mages and healers at the moment.

I missed the easter banner as I didn't get a phone that could handle apps until late April ( when the first shadows banner was still up), I had a old 2012 Pantech before getting the Moto. When I saw the brides I knew I had to pull any of them to make up for lacking the easter ones.

Haha they do seem focused on making healers more relevant so I'm sure your Serra will get her time to shine! I did bring Sakura to 40 for Physic support as an additional option - whatever character I'm training is usually sat next to a buffer and a dancer, and sometimes it's hard to position Lissa correctly.

I already plan to make her kinda a harder to kill healer with Live to Serve and possibly replaceing her Life Giving Balm with Heavenly Light ( unless you think Balm is better with the party wide speed boost) but we'll see if more things come her way.

Someone apperantly did make a mage killing Serra already so anything's possible.

Congrats on nabbing a Charlotte! I am really torn about pulling on this bride banner, none of them really excite me, and tbh Charlotte's art scares me a little (maybe that was what the artist was going for? idk.)

I'm getting a little frustrated with the game too, I wish they would add some new units on to lower tier summoning pools and maybe retire some of older, more common characters - at least temporarily. On my last pull I got a 5* Cecelia so that saves me some feathers but I already have about 3 of her already. At the moment my roster is Subaki/Robin/Barst/Hana/Olivia/Saizo heavy. I can't decide if I want to raise any of them up to 4* and beyond and then farm some of their skills (I'm looking at you Subaki...) I don't seem to get a lot of red orbs lately and whenever I pull I always seem to end up with Olivia or Hana. Where are these Lon'qus and Hinatas that everyone else has?!

I might see who is on the next GHB banner and make a decision then.

I'm playing Casual Normal (my excuse is I am going away soon so I wanted to get through the story before spoilers get more common) and I'm at Endgame now. Once I've finished I will play Classic and try out some different promotions for the Villagers. (Although I am fond of Mage!Kliff because he just wrecked everything and PegasusKnight!Faye was surprisingly tanky)

Do agree that the maps are insane (they just feel so big? or are the sprites smaller?) and I hated the desert levels. I tried to grind on a couple to get my levels up but they were so frustrating. Palla and Catria were definitely my MVPs on those maps. My Leon was okay, but he kept missing everything which made it super frustrating. He did redeem himself in later levels but still. Not when I needed him!
