Sure! You can tell at level 1 or level 40 for a 5*, or level 1 or level 20 - 40 for a 4*.

Just look up the character, like so: http://feheroes.gamepedia.com/Julia

You can see the variations at level 1 and level 40 for each character on the Wiki and compare with your character. Note that the attack stat in game rolls in your weapon's might, so you need to subtract that. Each unit will roll +one stat/-one stat or totally neutral: all freebies characters are neutral.

I am still trying to roll for a Leo, and ended up with my 4th Olivia and 2nd Seliph. I've had a bad run since hero fest ended so hopefully I am due for another 5* star soon.

My copy of Echoes is arriving this weekend so hopefully I can get an Alm or a Celica soon too.

Seems that team Robin and team Tharaja are flopping back and forth score wise the past few days. It's starting to get intense

--; did another pull today and ended up with nothing but doubles except for Lucius. Amoung them being ANOTHER (M) Robin only he's 3* compared to my 5*

Only thing that lessens the sting is the new Robin is -spd/+ def. Bad IVs but that meens I don't feel like crap pulling him when I have a equally bad IVed 5* ( after all the trouble getting him I do NOT want a lower star being a better ived one :/ )

Omg so unlucky with those Robin natures. I like Robin a lot, but he is so... rounded in his stats that he appreciates the +Atk or +Spd to . Mine is +Atk and even then I find him lacking. Oh well, at least he's a great inherit with Bonfire.

I finally got some advice on inherits from Reddit and, as a result, gave my beloved Azura Fury 3 and Moonbow. I think I might merge my spare to +1 her as its stats are janky and she isn't really key inheritance fodder, seems like the most sensible use for her.

Currently grinding SP on Linde, primarily. I have 26k feathers after the gauntlet and arena so can give her Blárblade+, except you need 750 SP for both tomes and she has 220 at the moment haha. The advice was to put Life and Death 3 on her, too, so even more SP. Oh well. Oh yeah, and Moonbow of course. At least I have a long-term goal!

x_x I tend to have rough luck with natures on units minus a Subaki and my 5* Tharaja. I have two 4* Tharaja now but thankfuly I don't have to worry on mine being replaced as I recall her being a + atk or + Spd.

Found out my main Serra is a +hp/-spd variant, granted she's a healer and there's no suggested builds but I am tempted to keep this version dispite the bane. The +hp has saved me a rare few times and I have a idea with her. May not work as well in action as on paper but figured it would be a fun thing to try.

I pulled a 3* Wrys with my 5 free orbs today who I wanted to feed to her anyways so may as well start planing it out.

Rerolling IVs would be incredible. It's so frustrating to the pull the unit you want and then find they have a poor spread. I guess it encourages you to be resourceful and work with what you have, but it's sad when I want to use a unit but feel gimped for doing so. I kind of don't want to invest too heavily in my Hector as his spread is average but Distant Counter is an incredible skill to pass on to armours, like Zephiel. But I might never pull another Hector! It's a conundrum heh.

And Lloyd confirmed for tomorrow! Hmmm map looks doable, will see how it plays out.

Such was my worry when I pulled the 3* robin, thankfuly he wasn't much better then my 5* so I don't have to feel like I went threw heck to get a focus and ended up with a lower rarety that does the job better.

Seems my Ike also has a good spreed, can't be sure on Effie or my 5* Fredrick yet ( I hope the later one is, he's my only green 5* so I'd hate to replace him for a better lower rarety, especally if it's the 3*). My Takumi is terrible, he's +res/-spd. I am hopeing the boon MIGHT be a plus on Narcian's GHB but if I opt to just do the normal one then it'll kinda be moot as a lv25 map is usually hardly a struggle for lv35+ units.

Rerolling would also solve afew other rough choices. -looks at my neutral Henry with his future fate still undetermaned -

Thanks for that website! Took me a while before I remembered to go look at it, and I regret not knowing about it before I leveled up some folks. Oh well. I'm still not quite sure how badly stat builds affect gameplay when I really have no intention of Arena anything, but we'll see.

I broke down and tried summoning again and came out with another five star and no fliers. Which makes all my best characters mages. >.<

Edit: Except I took a look at the rank list and it looks like Celica might potentially be S rank, which would make her my best five star so far, lol.

Well... I pre-ordered it off Amazon and I got the notification that it had shipped, and was due to be delivered on 20th May. That's great, I'm really happy that they didn't mess this order up like they did with Breath of the Wild... except I asked for it to be delivered to my work thinking they would ship it so I would have it on release day and I am not working on 20th, so I will have to pick it up on Monday. So there will be no new Fire Emblem-ing for me this weekend :(

I feel your pain, I did a full summon today and I have so much regret, I ended up with yet another Barst, and also 2 (TWO!) 3* Robins on the same pull. I'm sick of seeing his animation, I loose count how many I have pulled now. At least 6 or 7 :/

I did however pull a 4* Klein to go alongside the 5* Klein I got a few weeks back. Seriously considering feeding my 5* Klein to someone for Quick Riposte 3... decisions decisions...

4* Klein is actually super desirable for Death Blow 3, the only natural inherit for the skill at 4*. Pairs great with any Brave users or Dire Thunder, as it effectively adds +12 damage in a single hit. Pretty much a go-to for Reinhardt etc.

And yes, haha, I had it delivered to work too. I ordered from the Nintendo store as they're offered a free t-shirt and I can't say no to freebies! BUT I don't think they've even dispatched yet, which is lame. :c Hope it gets there on Monday, I neeeed it!

The arena system is actually pretty friendly once you get into it. Your three dueling swords restore every day, so you have nothing to lose by giving it a go, at least. And the bonus hero rotation (you need to include one for double points) always includes one of the three starters - Sharena, Alfonse and Anna. The girls are pretty decent off the bat, while Alfonse requires a little more investment to shine. But it's good to know you'll never be caught out without a bonus. It's the best source of feathers and also awards orbs at the top end.

And mages are... totally OP in this game haha. Kinda. The game is very focused on offense at the moment - the OHKO meta - and mages typically shine thanks to their fast, powerful play style. They appreciate support, of course, but are a great foundation to build from.

edit: oh my god I finally beat defensive battle 5-2. Used Azura, Nino, Ryoma and Lissa. Took me around five attempts today to crack it (I subbed Eirika out for Ryoma to get rid of Gunter and Klein in the corner). It was clean sailing once I finally managed to get rid of Donnel, who has freakishly high attack and speed; I had to use Slow with Lissa so Nino could double him, and sent Ryoma to get rid of Matthew and Liliana with Vantage. In the end only Narcian and Clair survived, but I was nestled in the top right so didn't have to worry about them.

Also beat Llyod on Lunatic! He was harder, took me three attempts. Hector died to the mage and archer combo on my first try - I'd pivoted him over to the right - so had to rethink and bring them down the middle. Used Azura, Hector, Ryoma and Cordelia for this one.

edit II: also lol just received an email saying Shadows has been despatched and delivery estimate is Tuesday. :c wtf Nintendo UK Store.

Oooh... thanks for the Klein tip. I don't have enough HM to fully death blow my Reinhardt (not sure where it all went?) but I did pull a second Reinhardt that I haven't touched yet so maybe I'll start over.

Also I feel bad now because my copy of Shadows actually arrived my desk today! It was a nice surprise and public complaining seemed to have tipped the scales in my favour, so hopefully your copy arrives early too!

In other news, I beat Lloyd on hard but haven't quite managed lunatic yet. I'm also stuck on Defense 4-2 and 5-2, but I think I'm nearly there. His art is kind of freaky though (is that just me?) His attack pose is especially unsettling.

I used my 20 gauntlet orbs for another round of summoning today, I had 3 blue and 2 colourless... saw the new banner and hoped for a Ninian or another Hinoka or a Klein. No such luck. I got a 4* Clair, 2 3Gaiuses, a 3 Gwendolyn and a 3* F!Corrin. Clair is new so that's pretty exciting, but no 5 stars for me. At least I didn't get another M!Robin, so small victories.

With my 20 orbs I got a 4* Cordilia (typo) and the rest are spares ( 4* effie, 3* gaius, 3* arther). Thankfully with Gaius' case turns out my first one has the best IVs for him from the sound of it but holding onto the spare as i'm not sure how important he is as inheratence material.

Is it even possible for a character to have two negative IV stats and one positive? Because I swear...I got a four star Cordelia, whose beginning speed was supposed to be a seven and she came out a FOUR. It isn't even available on the dropdown, it's so low. Plus low res, but high def, so...shrug IV's are strange.

That would be because of Cordelia's Brave Lance which gives her a -5 speed malus (but in counterpart, she can attack twice before counterattack)! So she has average speed. ^_^

I've finally started to dip into SI! Gave Pivot and Vantage to Hector and he's even more of a monster right now! I'm thinking about giving him an offensive special too but Pavise is ok at the moment. I gave Moonbow to Linde and I'm still wondering what to put in her B slot, wiki recommends Desperation but I almost never use Ardent Sacrifice so... But Vantage would probably be a bit of a waste for a mage? I don't know what to do xD

Lloyd's lunatic map took me a few tries but thanks to Hector it was easily manageable to me. I rely way too much on this man since I got him... XD

LOL we have been blessed by the Hector. He is just so good! I need to put Vantage on to mine when I pull another Lon'qu. I inherited Bonfire from one of my spare Robins and it works a treat, I would definitely recommend over Pavise. It charges very fast thanks to his in - built Quick Riposte.

And yeah, I gave Desperation to Linde. It's a great skill! And you only need a little bit of chip damage to get into range, she has good base Res so I'm often able to dip in when dueling them. Otherwise Ardent Sacrifice is there as a back up - admittedly, I don't use it often either. I think it's the best skill for her though. She doesn't really need the -breakers as she's so naturally speedy, and I think Vantage always works best on a unit that can counter in both close and ranged combat, as it's pretty easy to avoid otherwise.

Ooh so lucky to get your copy on time! And you can always earn more SP even at max level, if that copy of Reinhardt is preferable, at any of the top three Stratums. He only truly thrives at 5* as that's when he unlocks his unique tome, so I'd consider carefully about which to upgrade.

Sadly i am still hectorless so had to do Lloyd's map the hard way. Took me three attempts ( this is on Hard not Lunatic) but eventually useing a team of Rienhart, Effie, Serra and Takumi pulled threw.

Updating Did another full pull and almost a second between both banners and got more doubles ( includeing a third male Robin who....I hate to say this...might be better then my 5* as this one's a -hp/+res, meening he lacks the attack or speed bane of the other two --;) but I also got my second 5* green in the form of Bowey. He's no Hector naturally, but he'll do.

I just pulled Celica, I'm so happy ;_; She was the last orb from my pull, and as I saw the circle of... dust? (don't know how to call it really) around the shrine I was sooo praying for her to appear... and she did! ahah (I would have been happy with any focus hero really, I was just praying for her since it was a red orb xD I think she's really good though)

Now I'm poor but happy.

She's Res+/HP- so probably not the best boon but the bane is correct!

Now it makes me even more excited to play Shadows... according to Amazon, it won't get here before Tuesday or Wednesday though :c. At least Thursday is an holiday here so I'll have time to play!

Well, using Hector almost feels like cheating sometimes XD I remember I struggled so much the first time we had the Ursula GHB, but when they re-released it thanks to him it was a piece of cake! (the ninjas did no damage to him and he would kill them right away with his counter attack...) Well he's not invincible though. I might follow 's advice on giving him Bonfire, I've run into some Hector that had it in arena and well... let's say it didn't end well for my poor Xander XD

About to start clearing space in my barricks soon ( I know there's units I need to hold onto but I realized that the minor stress of it and needing feathers for a promotion was starting to effect things). I do have a question for you or Thomas though.

If you promote a unit that has inherated things, will they lose their inherated skill or will they keep it? Also is it worth promoteing units to 5* just for inheratence fodder or is that not even nessary to get the + skills? -hearing back and forth on this on other scorces-
