I'm gonna do my best to preserve orbs throughout January. Anniversary celebrations are gonna kick off at the beginning of February so I'm praying for incredible banners alongside a reshuffle of the summoning pools (this has to happen, right? It seems inevitable).

Also managed to beat the first two difficulties of the BHB with Firesweep Bride but omg that Lucius is evil on Infernal; I didn't realise he had pre-charged Miracle which is plain evil. Went in to snipe him with Bridelia but ended up cornered so errr put a pause on those plans. I think the range of horses would be super helpful, though.

- I'm saving my orbs for anniversary too. I do hope there is a pool reshuffle, but what I fear is that they are going to 'retire' units and make them completely unavailable. This would kill me.

I KO'd Lucius with BraveBraveLyn. I killed pretty much everyone on the map with her actually. Double dance double brave lyn, and Titania to take out the lance cavalier and tank the archer. (Lyn and Titania both survived with 1HP, the dancers were still full HP)

I used some of what I had left on the legendary Hero banner for the heck of it. I got a spare Sigard from the free pull but if I have orbs left over from tomarrow's pulls as that's when the new years one starts if I recall then i'll try Blues, Greens and Colorless ( perferably Greens for Bunny Chrom or Gun but I'll pull colorless or blue for bunny Luncina if greens don't show up...I will do a full pull if I end up with enough orbs to do so)

Hahaha I managed to kill a few of 'em, but then my PA!Azura had to tank the blue cavalier with TA3... and failed. I think she has like 20 def so yeah. I went after Raven first but maybe I'll make it if I go after Lucius instead.

I think we'll be okay from retirements - maybe they'll think of a way to make 1* and 2* relevant though? - but I do worry about diluting the 3* pool with not-so-great fodder. Pulling a Hinata or Selena is still rewarding, let alone 4* stuff like Roy or Klein or Palla (still waiting on those last two to show up...) that continues to elude me.

- Poor Axzura. My B!Lyn also has Reposition, which works really well with dancing: murder something, dance, get self and dancer out of harm's way.

Taking a team of Christmas Chrom, a 4* Chrom ( who is my only Chrom), 4* Nowi and a 3* Lissa due to the Christmas unit still being lv1

_> I never checked IVs but I have a BAD feeling my 4* Chrom is a spd bane, he's moving the same number of spaces as his Christmas version. Not sure that's normal for normal Chrom as he's not a armored unit.

Might work if I give her Close Def 3 seal or something but I'll have to calc it out. OR I could just use B!Lyn with Reposition shenanigans too haha. I finally pulled my third Gordin the other day so can promote him for Brave Bow+ (my 4* one is +Atk so keeping him for... reasons and the other got fed to Bridal Cordelia).

also omg faced a Gunnthrá or w/e in Arena earlier and she dismembered my poor L&D3 Celica with Chilling Ploy. I thought she'd be able to tank so just stuck her there (tbh this is my T19 week so I get demoted so don't really care as long as I get two wins a day) to retaliate and win. Did not happen.

- Thanks to swift Sparrow she does really well with the brave bow still. I took her off my arena defence team though, AI likes to send her on suidice missions. But I have no defence score this week, I should shuffle my units around maybe.

I've not encountered Gunnthra yet, but I did get schooled my Guidance, WoM Axzura, and 2 Armour shenanigans (I got bad map pull too, the stupid oasis map, which was probably the WORST one for me to end up with against that team, armour units excel on that map) breaking my deathless run, so I might get demoted back to 17 again :( My streak right now is only good enough to be rank 20k, and like 19.5k are going up right now. :(

Guidance always screws me over, I'm so bad at calcing the range (which... is embarrassing with a maths degree but omg they always pull some trickery) and it's only going to get worse with a dancer who can use the seal. I think it's one I'm going to upgrade soon, though, if I have any luck pulling her. What seals have you guys maxed so far? I've went standard Atk, Spd, Close Def, Distant Def, Heavy Blade and Hone Spd. I kinda wanna do Savage Blow for gimmicky sets with the clerics.

I had to use a couple of duelling crests at the beginning of the month to promote up in arena but it was worth it, imo. I do have 455 of them in my inventory... BUT STILL. Pains me to see them go to waste.

ALSO levelled Elise and Bridal Lyn together on the Warriors maps this evening which was good fun. Had enough SP get Wrathful Candlelight+ on Bridal Lyn and as a result now have enough to give Ephraim the Siegmund upgrade, finally! Naturally, I don't have enough SP to do it. :P Soon. Though now it's taken me so long to get these dews I'm hesitating in case we get more refinements soon...

I have no idea what the AI does with my teams x_x, Thomas and a friend of a friend are the only people on my friends list in Fire Emblem but not sure if friends can see what the AI is up to :/ let alone the chances of us going aganst eachother in arena is probably RGN in itself.

Hahaha yeah I can't imagine finding someone I know in Arena but it'd be funny! My defence team is super gimmicky at the moment but I've got a handful of wins over the past couple of weeks: my +1 B!Lucina with WoM, Sigurd, Anna and +1 WoM Azura. Hope is someone fails to KO the ever bulky Sigurd and gets whacked by one of the girls teleporting in to cause trouble. Works better with appropriate seals but they're currently on lend to my TT team.

My defence Team is basicly my main team, who's not be altered much.

Takumi, Hecktor, Rienhart and Ike. Rien's been the only one given SI I think.

Still hope it sounds like a decent team even though Takumi's not as high tier as he used to be among archers.

got prince of soup in under 40 orbs ;o; he's +hp/-spd which is probably eh for a dagger unit but the refinery exists and this was a miracle, anyway. i am praying that the banner is nice to everyone, and gives out many flying menaces lovely azuras

also ??? at the voting gauntlet -- christmas vs new years is whatever, but the new years half... doesn't have corrin. it has ryoma. i am completely confused now, what are they doing with him? also, give us a seasonal lobster man. he looks out of place next to the holiday units, lmao

- I let the AI play my Tempest trials for me. This is what I've noticed: if someone ins in attacking range, it always attacks (hence BraveLyn's suicide missions, since her range is HUGE), If they can't attack but can use a blue skill like rally or reposition they will do that 9/10 times (it's the times that they don't that really confuses me sometimes), and also the AI REALLY doesn't understand weapons triangle, so I try not to let AI play with gem weapons or TA.

- My Ryouma obsessed friend made this comment "the fact that it's just reg Ryoma instead of an event Ryoma in that chart there hurts my souuuullll" And I agree. Dress-up Lobster WHEN!!!

My free summon brought me a second Brave Ike (like WTF).... Hrm, what do do with dems skilllz?? I'm debating between Nowi and Ephraim. Ephraim could feasibly get both Steady Breath AND Aether if I feed him Chrom and BK first (which is my idealized build for him, but the advent of Heavy Blade seal reduces the need for Steady Breathe, but removes deflect magic). But Nowi is still just rockin that gem of a skill Defence +3 as her A slot, and thanks to these tempest trials, she has maxed her SP.

I did manage to scrape an Azura from the green/colourless drought so I'll give her a shot while I save up some more orbs. thank goodness the monthly quests reset soon.

I second your Ryoma-loving friend. He is.. out of place on this gauntlet.

I did hear on the grapevine that NY!Corrin is rumoured to be free and is a last minute change, as is this voting gauntlet... which would explain why Ryoma is tacked on.

I hope that the final is not Tharja vs Camilla (I stand by my point of characters that have already won not being used again) and that non-seasonal Ryoma crushes them all.

I also just completed the three hero quests . I have to say, I find them quite fun in so far that they give me a new appreciation of heroes that I don't commonly use (maybe my next special project will be a Laslow) but good lord completing Florina's section was just painful. She's... not great.

Hahaha I think I'm gonna support Ryoma. I have used him a bunch (he rotates in and out of my arena team, even now) and it would be hilarious for a non-seasonal to win.

Spent about 150 orbs hunting through the New Year banner this morning. ;_; Started with a pity breaker NY!Camilla who's +Spd/-HP. Didn't want her but no green or colourless orbs on the board and she was my reward. Guess I have yet another project? Elincia is better, I imagine, but Camilla looks a lot bulkier so perhaps she'll find a spot in reserve. Next up was a Sheena. Why is she a 5*? e_e back in for a bunch more pulls (went up to 4% here) and rewarded with... a Kagero. She's +Spd/-Atk which is decent, I guess, if I hadn't pulled a +Spd/-Def in the same session. Poison Dagger+ has definitely fallen from its former glory but I might keep her around as fodder with hopes of a forge upgrade down the line. And if nothing else, I can probs slot her in to an arena assault team with ease. Final handful of pulls rewards me with a NY!Azura, finally, who's sadly +HP/-Atk but eh, I guess I'll keep her off the front lines. Happy I didn't have to break into more of my orbs!
