yeah, i usually play without sound / animations 'cause it's faster and i want to avoid the disembodied voice yelling FIRE EMBLEM... HEROES!! but i turned everything back on to while playing with fjorm so i could hear her voice lines and see her sweet backflip :3

and speaking of tiny ui things like that -- if you refine a weapon, the unit gets an aura too, separate from blessings o: i gave in to temptation and gave my frederick slaying hammer+ and now he's got a pale aura around his sprite and behind his artwork. there's a lucius on my friends list that has pain+, and he has a purple aura ;w; i know it's probably to identify refined units in arena, but... i just like how cute it is lol

(the lucius has wrathful pain+ / martyr+ / wings of mercy 3 / savage blow 3 / savage blow seal 2. y'all i'm so jealous omg)

Hmmmm seeing Faye on that banner makes me itch to pull for Firesweep Bow+ but she shares focus with Priscilla. If it was Elise I'd jump at it but hmmm Priscilla. Also interesting that Rhajat is on a separate banner but doesn't share focus. Doesn't seem so bad that way but I do miss the amount of Heroes they used to introduce, we're never gonna get to obscure faves at this rate.

- Yeah, I only turn on the sound when I summon a new unit. Also very jealous of that Lucius. I don't have Lucius, along with Hector, he's the only FE7 character available I don't have. (speaking of Hector I summoned Ayra on a green-less summon, back to square one. Uuuuugh, couldn't have even been Ike or Celica, someone I might actually use?? <-- just my luck for you)

The new banners I am meh about. I was hoping for Kana in the children of fate banner. Rahjat is a weird choice, I mean, we already have Tharja, why not give us Kiragi or Ophelia.

I am curious about the other banner for the next voting gauntlet. When they said 'Enduring Love' I thought we'd get some established romances or flirtations (like Marth and Caeda) but it looks like the gauntlet should have been re-named 'Obsessive stalkers' haha.

Not entirely sad that the Rhajat goes on the gauntlet banner, I never really used her in Fates because I thought marrying Hayato to anyone was way creepy. I'll try for my free pull but my orbs are going for the princes.

I am genuinely surprised they picked Rhajat and Soleil, I was almost certain it'd be the next gen princes.

- Same here about Rajhat and Soleil, as much as I love soleil, she's pretty superfluous to all the other sword mercs we have. I would have been ok with Kuragi and Forrest. Soleil and Rhaj probably ranked higher in the polls. (I married Hayato to Felecia because I wanted to turn Hayato into 'Hayato combat butler', he actually made for a really good butler, and Tharja with pink hair is just hilarious.) I thought the enduring love would be parents vs children.

Ah good point re the popularity, still seems a bit weird to me to put Rhajat in when we already have Tharja and (if rumours are to be believed) Christmas Tharja. The power of waifu is too strong I guess, haha.

I do want to start a run of fates again now and try out some of the wackier re-classes.

I like the idea of a parent v child gauntlet (fun fact I put Ryoma in one of the Shiro maps and Shiro /always/ goes for Ryoma first, even if there is another red in his reach. I don't know if that was intensional or not but if it is, what a nice little touch!)

I am still convinced they are prepping Xander (and Camus) for the regular summoning pool, so perhaps we'll get parent v child in a future gauntlet.

- I'm generally not a fan of reclassing, but fates was such a ridiculous game to begin with IMO. Hayato Combat Butler, and Ninja!Xander were probably my fav reclasses. I also turned Asugi into a butler so he could carry around a giant candy cane. I had a friend play through Fates several times with the goal of making a Ryouma with every single skill possible (she succeeded) If they make Xander and Camus regular summons, I hope they make Female Robin summonable too. It's always felt weird to me that she isn't. It's not like she's anything special either, her skills are basic, her weapon isn't even unique.

part of me wants the ghb heroes in the general rotation so you're not waiting aeons for reruns, but deer god, they need to do something about the 5* pool first.

as for the ladies banner coming up -- i'm pretty ambivalent about rhajat, i do like her art but i have enough green mages to work on already... i might roll colorless and hope for some setsuna, i really need bowbreaker. idk though, 'cause i want shiro just to have.

also i don't think they use the popularity polls for anything but CYL-style events since selkie and ophelia outranked the girls we got (selkie was rank 59 and ophelia was 80; soleil was 68 and rhajat was 105 lmao) and a bunch of the earlier releases are all over the place (elincia was rank 112, ursula was 176 but got her own ghb, etc)... skipping selkie is a bummer though, i would love to see beast units and since panne and yarne probably won't make the cut, i gotta stick to hoping for selkie and velouria ;o;

pretend you want (unit that isn't hector), see if that helps at all ;p like, i know i don't roll enough with non-seasonal banners to fuss about not having takumi or ryoma or ninian, but at this point i'm fairly certain you're proof that the desire sensor is a real thing and rng is being obnoxious. crossing my fingers for you, hopefully a different banner comes through with an OHO! that isn't santa hector ;w;

Well finally grabed a google play to get something out of the banner that isn't a copy. Sadly no easter units but I did get ONE holiday unit I lacked, that being Bridal Cordillia. So guess I met at lest my constilation goal if I can't get a easter unit before it ends.

So I reached 10.50% on the Legendary Hero Banner and I got a Hector. The thing is I already have a good armor team (Effie, H!Jakob, Amelia, BK), so I'm thinking I should use him for fodder. Anyone have any ideas on that? I've been tempted to give it to Joshua...

Help. Just pulled on block B, got a 5* Seliph on my free pull. Went on to summon block A and decided to pull the whole lot as it was three greens and two reds, stumbled upon a Rhajat and 4* Tharja. Went back in and pulled two colourless, got a new 4* Leon for it. Went in again and pulled a lone green due to lack of colourless... off banner Hector comes along to say hi. I don't know what's going on but I like it!

Edit: handful of pulls and both Faye and Priscilla come home. :') now I just gotta work up the courage to sac Faye for Firesweep.

Hmmm I just typed a long response and my phone browser crashed hmmmm. Anyway, Hector has a great base kit so is helpful outside armour teams, especially for Arena Assault and things. Otherwise Effie and Amelia do seem like popular picks. Effie has the perk of Wary Fighter to disable fast units and can now use the enhanced Berkut's Lance to give her +7 res when defending. Amelia is speedy and bulky so can make good use of it, too.

Man, you have to tell me which Gods you pray to to get your insane summoning luck. Congrats on getting your Rhajat, Faye and Priscilla !

If you don't already have a Hector, I'd keep him. I put ignis and vantage on mine and he kills nearly everything.

Agree on both the F!Robin point and also the 5* pool. Anyone that is available at 4* should be taken out of the 5*. I've been fairly lucky so far, the only 'bad' pity breakers I've had are Lilina, Merric and Sheena. Sheena' s actually pretty good, I use her in armour emblem.

I also hope we'll get beast units eventually. Panne was one of favourite units in my original awakening run.

Took one more go at the Legendary banner. Spent more than I should, but finally got a bridal Cordelia, at last. I'm done now, despite how tempting an extra Celica is.

No kidding!! WTF. I got nothing but 3 stars on my free pulls again (My luck = my freebie on the stalker side was 5 blue orbs OTL). I mean, Palla is good for skills but I'm sick of spending 2k feathers to make all these guys 4* for skills.

- I want beasties too! Panne is love! There's also the radiant series beasts, I'd love to see Ranulf or Nesala.

- cry so jealous of your Hector. But if you really want to fodder him off, Amelia does great with distant counter. Amelia with distant counter is basically a better Hector.

i got rhajat! +res/-atk rhajat. i'm fine with that since i really just wanted her 'cause she's pretty, but just who do i need to pray to, to break my -atk curse?! hopefully rhajat gets demoted and i can chance pulling a second one while hunting for freds later on.

fingers crossed that the rest of the kids are that easy to pull, and that the only christmas unit i want is tharja ;w; (i think ryo did christmas robin so... ehh. mixed feelings on that one, though tree lance/tree sword would be fun fodder for one of my other lancers. i regret pulling for first bite+ for the same reason, that oversized spoon is gr8)

- I doubt they'll make Sigbert and Shiro 4 stars, but I can see them making Rhajat and Soleil available at 4*. I have a -att curse too. Literally all my archers except brave Lyn (cus I took her as my free unit, so she's neutral) are - att. A lot of them I raised up before I knew about the 'IV's or how to check them. My 4* donnel is -att, which ruins a lot of the F2P strats with him.

I have 38 orbs left, and an 8.25% summoning rate. I'm taking bets, who think's I'll get Hector? Who thinks I'll end up with a second Ayra? Who thinks I just end up with an army of Arthur?

You can get a Hector, I believe in you! I never got the chance to play RD/PoR but I'm hoping they get added to the e-shop at some point. But I'd love to see my aloof murder-bunny in the game.

Honestly I am not sure what to do with Firesweep weapons - I have 3 Rodericks in my barracks. The no counter attack seems good on the player phase but unless you have a unit that can tank or OHKO they don't seem that useful (unless I am completely missing something??)

I had a proactive train journey today and plucked up the courage to pas on Firesweep Bow+ to Bridelia, alongside Wings of Mercy 3 for potential shenanigans. I ended up giving Wings of Mercy to my B!Lucina on a whim. I can't say it's been... amazingly useful but she's already at 43 speed so no other B slots seem useful. Desperation, maybe, but I always find it kinda overrated on melee units. ANYWAY I decided to shake up my defence squad as I didn't have any wins at all last week, and B!Lucina, Sigurd, Azura and Alphonse have managed to snatch seven arena victories! Probably mostly thanks to Sigurd, who currently holds my Close Defence 3 seal alongside the skill. Must be a nightmare to take down. Thankfully. 8) fufufufu

They definitely work best with fast, frail units that can ensure a counterattack and erase a foe. Fliers and cavaliers are generally preferred thanks to their superior movement, so they can dash out and retreat to safety once they've attacked. I have a Firesweep Lance+ on my +Spd Cordelia and she's pretty great with it; she runs Hit and Run, too, so bounces in, deals unretaliated damage and can be Repositioned out with ease by my other fliers.

thank you! and yeah, i haven't looked into them much, it seems like they're best for shenanigans. but i think a firesweep nuke would be neat to at least try out, and something like a firesweep unit, a dazzling staff healer, and some dancers sounds like it'd be fun just to mess around with.

i'm getting ready to farm for arena medals and tbh if i run into your team i will riot, sigurd and especially sigurd on that dumb bridge map has been miserable to deal with p: (i was also going to ask if the firesweep cordelia on my defense wins list was you, but this one looks to be +res and my defense team this week has been Just Elincia so probably not, haha)

Hahah she's still a bit low on SP so stuck with her Brave Bow+ at the moment. Warriors maps returning this month is like... the best Christmas gift of all. Spring Camilla is gonna need a bunch too as she basically demands a total refit of her base kit. Plus Rhajat is a possibility for our next Tempest Trials? Hmm actually probs not with the timings, it'll be a new banner I guess, It's going to be weird though because at the moment we're getting special units at the end/beginning of the month then newbies halfway through. Not sure how it'll all play around Christmas itself, either.
