Can someone PLEASE make the next free item a Pussy Hat? You know, like the ones people wore to the marches. The description could be something like 'This pussy grabs back.'

It would be a nice way to support women without being overly political about it.

How about no? Like everyone said, we already have a pink cat hat. Besides, there are people on this website who come here to avoid the real world and not have American politics thrust in our faces. To boot, doesn't subeta not want political talk on the website? Afaik, that caused problems with the debate topic and got it shut down.

Besides, the 'pussy' hats look kind of ugly, imho. They have a really plain design that isn't very unique. I'd much rather stick to the old cat hat.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is a bad idea. Why would subeta give us a pussy hat and not a maga hat at the same time? They'd only be angering the portion of their userbase who supported Trump ALONG with the non-Americans who are sick and tired of seeing American politics on the website and lose potential revenue.

Maybe if we just release a line of simple knit cat ear beanies in this style.. I'm kinda sad I didn't know I could make an easy peasy cute hat like this until the protests.

Also this wouldn't really be supporting anyone simply by having the item, showing solidarity yes, but it would have to be a CS item with all proceeds going towards a group to really be accomplishing anything. Subeta is already a pretty inclusive site that supports everyone being here as best as they can from my experience.

I'm Canadian, I don't really care about american politics, and I wouldn't use that item, but I feel like yeah, it's something that's greatly needed.

Like, the pro-gay marriage items we have had in the past have offended a fringe of the userbase. The fetus items have offended some religious people.

However, it's a hat. I do agree about not bringing politics into things but I didn't want to try and word that into a reply to begin with and I really don't care because like, it's a hat. And especially with a line in multiple colors, it's really just a hat. Which is easy enough to ignore just like literally any other wearable I would not use.

We do have the pink cat hat already, but this would be a good idea. I was actually expecting to see one as a free gift this weekend, to be honest, as it seems like something Subeta would do! :)

I honestly don't think it wouldn't be unexpected simply, because from what I've seen a large portion of the user base on site is liberal.

I also don't think it'd be much of an issue because honestly at the end of the day, symbol or otherwise it's just a hat. A line of knit cat beanie hats on site in general would be a cute idea for a line of items on site in general, political or not.

Also, just in general a lot of site items have offended someone at some point so , why is this offending someone the reason why it shouldn't be included? The site has never shied away from being what it's been and that includes the fact that in general, many of the user base is very liberal which has been reflected in a number of items on site. The site has never shied away from the fact that it is mostly liberal so... what exactly makes an item like this being included on site any different?

But ditto on the description though, since it would indeed need to be changed. That's a word that's considered a swear and filtered on site.

if there's a range of colors, I'd suggest they all have normal generic descriptions though, with the exception of a pink "this kitty grabs back" or something. "pussy" isn't allowed in item names (as mentioned above), but the nod to the slogan is still there.
