well, concerts in Brazil usually don't have seats in the lane(?) [I don't really know what's the correct translation in this case! I mean the space right in front of the stage, there aren't seats there, only in the balconies or whatever you call them! xD] We usually stand, jump, sing along and dance all the time, so seats would be a nuisance! xD

I don't know if anyone will get a chance to meet and greet them while they're here in Brazil, though. for that we would have to go to the Korean fansigns TTxTT I saw that there was a group that was going to make fan signs in a lot of cities here, but I don't even know them... I just wanted BTS to do the same TTuTT But I think it would be weird because there would have to be someone to translate all the time, since only Rapmon knows english, and most brazilians doesn't even speak english! xD If I ever met them I would like to let them know just how precious and wonderful each of them are, and that seeing them down breaks my heart~ I'd also hand each of them a personal fanart print that I'd still have to make.. xD That and I would ask V how old does he think I am compared to him. because I have such a baby face and I want to see him surprised when I say that I'm exactly 9 days older than him lol~

AND YES. They're all so relatable~ I love this about them~ Bangtan bombs are awesome! You should check their vlive videos though~ (it's an app/site that kpop idols use to make lives/release videos) They've been more active over there than in their youtube channel lately~ Thankfully I'm from 1995 so I don't have to feel guilty about thinking Kookie is good looking~ lol

Welcome to the thread! I feel you, Big Bang was also the group that got me into k-pop (back in like, 2008 lolol). I also live in Canada! I think BTS came to Toronto once a year or two ago? Unfortunately I live in BC so there has been 0 BTS activity here.

HAHA it is definitely like that. The K-Pop industry essentially makes sure that you fall in love with the members and want to follow their every move. If you like more hip hop/rap songs, there's a booming K-Hip Hop scene. Show Me the Money features a lot of the rappers famous in the K-Hip Hop scene, but definitely take what they do on that show with a grain of salt.

I can also recommend some idol groups which have a more hiphop sound (i.e. 2NE1 [although they're disbanded /cries], Monsta X, iKON) but I definitely recommend checking out the K-Hip Hop scene a bit too if that's what you're into! Also sorry if that was a really long list...

anyone here likes any songs by superjunior? I wanted you guys to recommend me some songs because I want to get into them! lol~ I've been watching New Journey to the West and Kyuhyun is just so funny I think it'd be worth it to get to like them! xD Not to mention they even sang a brazilian song when they had a concert here in Brazil! (that was so funny lol, even though the song they chose is kind of an embarrassment to me! xD)

aah, I just don't like it when they do that 'frankenstein' song... (when they merge different genres/vibes in the same song depending on whoever is singing), like in mamamoo's Decalcomanie or SF9's Fanfare (I try to ignore the vocal parts of fanfare because the initial vibe is so COOL! Why did they have to put that other rhythm in that song! TTuTT) And I don't like when the song is too commercial-like either. You know, when the song can even be nice to listen to but you don't really 'feel' anything when you listen to it? xD I like cute songs though. Is there a Kyary Pamyu equivalent in k-pop? xD aah i love the vibe from Blackpink thoughif there's any other groups similar to them please send them my way!

I downloaded the app but you need facebook or twitter (i don't have either!) so I never signed up but it seems like there is a lot of exclusive content on there. I just listened to the 'Show me the Money' song i love it! And I love anything Taeyang ____ thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to make this list for me!! I am going to check some out today on my lunch, I'm so excited!! I know I will love anything 'pop' so it's helpful to have some guidance with the rap and hip hop scene since I have no idea what I am doing and there is just so much music to filter through! I might be more partial in the end to like the groups that have a bit of everything, like BTS and BigBang since I can't actually understand what's being said it's nice to have a bit of parts I can actually sing or dance too if that makes sense. I will write back once I check a few out. My friend did say BTS came to Toronto but it was when they first started so i don't think they did very well (didn't sell out that's for sure) but now that they're more known I would think they'd come back. I know how you feel with BC, I live in Ottawa and EVERYTHING skips me, the only upside is I can drive to Toronto or Montreal which is where most bands go. I will keep my fingers crossed for both our sakes that they do an east AND west coast stop!! EDIT: I listened to everything you posted! I did like the beat/flow but i think the reason why I love rap so much in English is completely lost when I am listening to it in Korean since I don't know what they are saying (and translations are limited to youtube or don't do the lyrics justice). But this is good to know- I think I will just be more inclined to listen to pop bands that have some rap in it like I mentioned earlier. I hear 'SHINee' everywhere with K-Pop- they were my next to try! Another 2008 group though oh my gosh... 10 years of music to catch up on!! Is there a specific album or two you'd recommend? OK so I found this out last night and ohhhh my gosh I was on there for HOURS. Could they be more adorable? I love how goofy they all are. I was crying laughing so hard watching them play pictionary. I love the behind the scenes videos from videos and photoshoots. And so happy they are subtitled! I've never loved every member of a group before, like this is so new to me. They are each so different but I love everything about each one. Do you have a bias for the group?

I was just looking at the twitter feed, so adorable!! Suga's pics of when he was younger are hilarious. I'm so glad they are so active but at the same time it's so hard to catch up haha. War of Hormone's is literally the ONLY song I'm not a big fan of but I do love the mv. I think the song will grow on me! I feel a bit bad for Jin.. he doesn't seem to have many lines with singing and then he's not featured with dancing either because I guess it's not really his strong suit? They all offer something to the group so it would be nice they give him a little more exposure.

yeah, Jin's role is a tricky subject. Sometimes I feel like Jin himself is not very confident on his singing/dancing... Which makes me really sad because his voice is awesome (Awake was my first favorite song from WINGS). Not to mention how much he has improved on dancing. But I can't really be sure if that's true or if it's just the company making him appear less in the songs. D:

Thing is (I heard) Jin was scouted for his looks. He didn't even know how to sing/dance when he joined Bighit. I think that made him very insecure? I don't know... Through his solo (awake) and the Run/I NEED U mvs I got the vibe that sometimes he feels unnecessary in the group, and that breaks my heart.

He's the one who keeps them together! The one who intervenes before things get out of hand and is always taking care of the other members. Without him I don't think the group would be as united as they are. BTS wouldn't be BTS without him and I wish Bighit/Korean fans would appreciate him more and give him more space to shine~

that is soooo cool! whenever overseas bands come to the US they always go to LA, lol. and even bands i like that are US based almost never come to my small area.

I feel you! I live in the capital city of my state, but the international bands usually go to São Paulo/Rio de Janeiro only, never to Minas Gerais (where I live). This will be the second time i'm going to a concert. The first time was Paramore's and I went because they came here! xD

i've been to 2 down here, one just last year when fall out boy came to the mid-state fair. i was so shocked because i never thought they'd come! if i had the time, i'd love to go to a kpop concert in LA ___ you'll have to tell us all about it, when the concert is over! :D

[Spoiler=Like Black Pink] K.A.R.D. - Oh Nana - One of the only, if not the only, co-ed K-Pop group active right now. Very catchy songs, but they only have 2 out so far. CLC - Hobgoblin - CLC recently did concept change (before they were more of the cutesy group, so you might also want to check out their older songs) and so far they've been killing it. GOT7 - Never Ever GOT7's newest song, they're a male group whose sound is usually hiphop/dance-ish. They've released really good songs recently, imo.[/url] f(x) - Rum Pum Pum Pum PumOne of my favourite girl groups, an older group, but their songs are always so good, definitely check out their other songs. Their sound is often described as not as mainstream. [/spoiler]

@/mokona No, it's too expensive to go back that often. My dad by himself has gone back to visit his family more so, but to bring the 4 of us is a bit too much. I've only visited 3 times with the rest of my family and then once alone. That sounds sweet--I'm not very close with my cousins because of the age gap and the geographical distance. :/

They say they're having a comeback !!!! I hope you get a chance to listen to Taeyeon's new album. I haven't heard the whole album yet, but "Fine" is a song I like, but I'm also a big fan of acoustic songs in general.
