: Hai~! Admittedly, I don't really follow BTS much. But the few that I have done as tribute pets for Kpop groups that I follow, I've done a few by their Chinese zodiac sign or by nicknames if they have any (Jonghyun is one). Unfortunately the pets I have are a mess and not really done so I can't really comment.

I would definitely recommend listening more of Bigbang, EXO, as well as SHINee, SNSD (Girls Generation), Super Junior, KARA (prior to changes, if I remember correctly.), 2NE1, Infinite. I can't recall the other 2nd generation Kpop groups atm. SHINee's been bolded since they're my favourite. BTW... what songs of EXO have you listened to?

nothing like that! I became a BTS fan when the tickets were already sold out! I was already okay with not going to the show, really, but my dad was like: "are you sure there are no tickets left? isn't there anyone selling them in the 'black market'?" and I was like: "but dad it'll be so expensive, and the concert is in a month, and it's in another state!" but he convinced me to look for it... and so I found a safe site that sells other people's tickets, and I bought mine there.... for almost 4 times the original price... xD Now I'm going with my friends~ and I'm so EXCITED!~

MBLAQ and Boyfriend both had really strong debuts ;;; but both got rly let down by their companies. Definitely MBLAQ had hit a popularity peak when they released This Is War and Joon was appearing on all these variety shows

A belated welcome to the thread! Yessss all the already mentioned groups are so good. I don't follow BTS in terms of individual members, so I can't really help, but your tribute pet project sounds really cool! And that you're going to a BTS concert so soon after becoming a fan, such good timing.

All my cousins are in China since I only have them on my dad's side. AND they're all married because my dad's the youngest, so essentially all my cousins are 10+ years older than me. I've never been back close enough to the new year to benefit from that though lol

My name is Jen and I am new to the K-Pop scene but am quickly becoming obsessed XD. I've always listened to J-pop but wasn't overly into it, I just got hooked by watching a lot of anime or playing japanese games. I kept hearing about K-Pop more and more and I know a few people who are mad about it, so I started listening to BigBang first, completely fell in love, and now am obsessing over BTS. I always listen to rap and hip hop or techno anyway, so finding K-Pop with these similar styles was so exciting for me! I am so sad to find out BTS is coming close to Canada (new york) but they are completely sold out. This always happens to me with any band, I am too late to discover them and then their concerts have just passed or are sold out haha. I know this is a LOADED QUESTION but if anyone can recommend any other groups to listen too that would be great. There is so much content with following individual members, live performances, interviews, solo albums.... I feel like it will take me years to get caught up!!

My favorite members of BigBang are T.O.P drool and Taeyang and from BTS Rap Monster and Jin... although I am still getting to know everyone's very unique personality! I feel like I'm 10 again with my Backstreet Boys/NSYNC guides and mastering their favorite colors and foods... i'm totally consumed at this point!! LOL

Also why can't there be a club that plays this music!? I don't want to dance to any of the crap that's out now. I am doomed to dance in my living room or go to Korea I guess :P

YES, bigbang and bts have some similar sounds~ But I got to know bts first! xD I haven't found another group with this similar hip-hop-ish vibe they have though. AND OMG, My situation was exactly the same as yours, but I managed to get a second-hand ticket, THAT JUST ARRIVED AND I'M FANGIRLING SO HARD. Rapmon is such a poet I always get mind blown at his speeches~ His solo songs are awesome too~ Jin is such a cutie~ did you know he recently graduated from his university? My bias is V, but I love all of the boys so bad~

I met someone recently who loves BTS and they already have tickets so I won't go for a single seat, with the American conversion rate its just so expensive to sit alone at the concert and travel so far. I know rap monster loves Pokemon and Jin loves food so I'll send them a fan mail of Pokemon drawings I've made and a list of Canadian food to entice them to come and BEG THEM TO CONSIDER IT!!! I love V as well, this is actually the first time I've liked everyone in a band. Usually there is one or two I can't stand but I think they all are so sweet, humble and genuine. I've been watching the Bangtan bombs or whatever they are called, they are soooo funny!! I love seeing their goofy sides. I feel like such a cradle robber though, I messaged my friend saying I thought Kookie was super hot and in the video he was SIXTEEN (I am 29) ughhhhh hahahaha. Are you going to be meeting them in person when you see them? I know a lot of k-pop artists are really personable with their fans and do meet and greets. It's great a lot of them speak English, and rapmon is fluent so you can actually get to know them a bit!
