Good morning! Today I went to the international mobility interview, and I think it's the best interview I've done until now! Really, I was so confident about what I was saying that, if not for the tension on my face and the all the shaking, it would have been a breeze! Now, all that's left is to wait to see if I'm good and if the university agrees to give me the scholarship.

just hoping I don't have to take more medicene. the dates for all procedures are the 9th, 17th, 20, and 23rd. so yep I'll be busy. then I have to fill in the rest for hubby's appointments.

Hi all. Well, thankfully got the power back on and guess what? They charged me to reconnect. Yes they did. $87. I couldn't believe it. But I had to agree in order to get the power back on. I was so mad...but, moving on.

It was really nice on Sunday because my best friend Rox and my son Cory came over to work on my room. While they were here they also worked on the porch. Fixed the broken step and top rails, and the wobbly side is sturdy again. I feel so much safer going up and down the steps now. Cory came across a little A/C unit for my bedroom window and gave it to me for my birthday. Even tho I have central air my bedroom has always been hot. All my vents are in the floor (which I absolutely hate) and most are placed ok to feel the air at least, but not in my bedroom. The only vent is under my big dresser with the TV and its cabinet on top across from the bed. Its the only place for it. Anyway, Sunday Cory installed the little unit and it works great. Very happy with it. My daughter gave me this frame

for my bed and we pulled up the carpet (just nasty and full of fleas) and then set it up. Love it! I had the individual risers but had problems with them. This is very stable and quite comfortable. She also gave me the bedskirt for it and it says 18" drop but it isn't. It's a few inches off the floor but it hides underneath mostly so it will do. My parents got me the 8 bins that fit under the frame so all I need to do now is fill them up. lol

Sorry you have to leave early and hope your mother feels better. I'm disappointed about Alegarten too - its just a fall thing not summer. So happy its October and hope the weather cools off quickly. Its been nice with the rain but still hot in the afternoon. Glad your dad is better and hope you are too. Are you doing ok? Has Billy driven you over the edge yet? I miss you.

waves hello all! I think I've finally got time to be around on here more than a few minutes a day. :D

How is everyone? what's the word? I hope everyone is doing well!

Wow I forgot to post all this time. My head hurts. Did shopping today and got a bunch of stuff but most importantly undergarments and Halloween decorations. I don't remember what I did all week. No idea.

that is good you got power back. Terrible they charged you.

Home again. Hit some hard rain in the mountains and that slowed us down and then in Ohio we hit about 20 or 25 miles of backup due to not one, not two, not three, not four but five accidents! The first three happened well before we were even in Ohio and they had actually closed the highway and rerouted people off to bypass for awhile. By the time we got there the lanes were open but slow or stopped for much of the time. In a few spots it would open up to drive near the speed limit but that only lasted a couple miles and then we would stop again. During all that two more accidents apparently happened. We had a CB radio so we were listening to the truck drivers talk. We drove by the last accident after having sat still for 15 minutes maybe and several ambulances and police went flying by up the berm.
So a drive that should have taken 9 hours (and we were delayed by an hour even leaving because the plumber was late) too 10 1/2 or so. After unpacking the car it was after 10pm.

For dinner we had some wonton soup my brother picked up for us (will have the rest of the Chinese food tonight since we didn't want a full dinner so late) and a donut we brought home that we didn't get a chance to eat and then pretty much just tried to unwind. Did not sleep too well last night but I was hot - too cool for a/c to work but too humid to really have the window open. Bah.

Far more info there than y'all probably care to know. :)

Will probably take a few days to get used to being home again.

Glad your power is back but jeez after all that charging you too. Ridiculous. Yeah, going to miss having it in the autumn. Hot dogs and beer in fall is oktoberfest. Hot dogs and beer in the summer is baseball. And the rest of the food and wears are so different. Going to miss Alegarten because whatever they call it in the summer it just cant' be Alegarten. :(

Hey everyone! The past week of school has been busy with getting ready for Fall Break. Thursday and Friday I got to spend with a student and help them turn in a crap ton of missing assignments x) They are now passing all their classes!

Friday night we went to the State Fair and attended a Gary Allan concert. It was amazing, and Andrew had a good time C: He's not a fan of country music, but said Gary Allan is his second favorite artist behind Johnny Cash x) I wanted some Funnel Cake afterwards, but the prices for food at the Fair were like robbery :( $9 for Funnel Cake...no way. I'll make my own.

Saturday was the home opener for hockey. It was a good game until the Coyotes started to slow down and then the refs weren't making some calls. We ended up losing in OT, but that is ok. The season is still young ^_^

Been exercising more often and it's finally starting to actually feel good instead of a chore xD So glad it is Fall Break now! I get the week off!

Anyway, I hope everyone is feeling better from the illnesses and long drives I read about! This time of year is too nice outside to not feel well :(

I am so mad. I picked a cute Unicorn outfit to wear and when I came back from wardrobe I was naked. Had to put on a saved outfit. might try to put it all back on and save the outfit. I'll see if that works, otherwise I'm sending in a ticket
