I've been away with one heck of a cold. It knocked me right down :( First time since I started working I had to call in sick yesterday. Feeling MUCH better today, though! And tomorrow should be even better. Just working on getting rid of the stuffy nose, now.

Hi everyone! Hope all that are sick feel better. I've been without power for about a week and my parents have been nice and took me in. My son has been running me back and forth. I hope it gets fixed today but who knows.

Hi! No, hurricanes had nothing to do with it. I live in Arlington, Tx next to Ft. Worth, so north central. Thankfully no where on the coast. My A/C quit working and Dad called his friend who is a master electrician. He put in a new breaker and discovered another major problem. Old 220 wiring at the meter shorted out and involved the electric company, their local contractor, and the park's electrician. None of whom think this is a major priority or that keeping me in the loop with developments is important, apparently. Sigh. Hopefully today will be the magic day and it will be done...

still nothing?! Horrible. I am so glad we don't have hurricans here in holland. Be safe! Shame your electricity is causing so much trouble hope someone comes fast and fix it.

Dad went home early with us from the concert. He got tired and we had forgotten his pills. The opening act was good. We got to see her. Hirie. Got a play tonight at the community theater. Pride and Prejudice I think. Just watching, not acting. I am never ever going on stage again. School forced plays were bad enough. Stage Fright city.

My mom's birthday was Thursday and my brother who lives in Kentucky came up to visit for 4 days which is quite unusual. So we've been going going going all week. Her birthday was the longest day with some roaming in the morning and the zoo in the afternoon followed by dinner out. Was a tiring but really good day. Mom and I pretty much just crashed today.

We're keeping an eye on Hurricane Jose to figure out when we're heading to NJ for what seems like it will be our shortest time there since we started doing these trips out. I'm thinking we'll go Wednesday if the weather looks okay and if not then Thursday.

Sorry your dad got tired so soon, but baby steps. At least he got out and hopefully next time he'll remember his meds and be able to enjoy a full concert! Grats on the baking! I think I'm at level 2 yet. Hate buying ingredients. Some are so expensive.

Evenin' Everyone and Happy Subeta-versary! I've just been super busy, so haven't found much time to chat lately. 😞 We seem to be having such an active hurricane season already. I'm not sure I'm ready to see what comes during peak season.. We've already had Harvey and Irma. Now we've got Jose, and two others forming out there. There just usually aren't soo many at one time, especially not this early in the 'season'.

- Welcome to KS! I've been pretty inactive as of late, so I haven't been around much, but I look forward to getting to know you in the coming months (I always end up on more during the holiday season)!

- Any word on that power yet? I can't imagine going this long without it (especially since it's so hot right now). I hope they get working on it soon.
