Saw guardians of the galaxy 2 yesterday and it was really good. I laughed and cried and awwed. About to go see dad again. He is still on track to come home.

Been a long few days. Mom's had her ups and downs, especially with the pain meds. Hoping we're on the right track now and she can start really getting stronger. fingers crossed

I'm very tired. Had very little time to do anything other than take care of mom. A few minutes on the computer here and there. Hopefully more time soon to catch up and play. hugsy'all

Back home. Place I went to had horses.

I decided to walk back from the gate (aka entrance, someone always had to exit the car to open and shut it) and ended up with an entourage of horses who tried to follow me to the house. Problem was there was a rope so they couldn't follow...so the pony was the only one able to follow me.

Was cute as there was one horse that came up to me, sniffed me, and seemed to be the signal for the others that it was okay to follow me. Was also the only horse that tried pushing through the ropeXD

Fireworks aren't too bad here, but I wish they would stop. The area is dry and it better not catch on fire. I don't think it will, and the fire department is literally in this neighborhood, but still. No fire, please x)

Dad is home and doing pretty well so far. Got my shots and feeling bruised, but took pain relievers. It is so so hot out. Over 100. Blah. Did nothing for the 4th, but stay inside. So hot.

My sister has gotten me drawing a bit, and sometimes I just erase everything out of frustration, and other times I really like what I made, lol. Hopefully I can keep making myself practice instead of giving up on it again for years at a time.

Yay for your Dad being home. Hope your shots help. Yep very hot here too. Gag. Only good thing about summer in my opinion is good fruits and veggies. I have had heat exhaustion three times and am now prone to it. Once I almost went into a heat stroke. So dangerous and around here too easy. Be careful and hope it cools off.

Neat about drawing again. I haven't been able or not wanted to in years. I used to draw a lot. Hope you stick with it and enjoy it again.

This is a drawing I did in 1994 of one of my D&D charas. The original is framed on my wall and one of the very few of my drawings I have left. Obviously I added the rays, border, and background in the computer. She is named Zilvra and is a Drow, or Dark Elf. I wasn't happy with the skin tone or way I showed her muscles, but the rest I thought was good. I love her hair. I used to have the original scanned and saved but I can't find it. Anyway, let me know what you think, and if I've shown it before forgive me because I don't remember. lol Zilvra

Thanks! I used to draw a lot, too, but just got discouraged with it for one reason or another. Zilvra looks cool! Like she came right out of a comic book! I've always thought DnD stories that people create when they play would make awesome comic books x)

Mom is hangin' in there but she's been on the more anxious and depressed side of things. She's not getting strong enough for her. It does feel to me that she was stronger sooner for her last replacement but I also know all surgeries are different and her left leg was so much worse by the time she had this surgery. She was barely walking by the morning of her surgery and I got a wheelchair for her at the hospital. I sure wish they sent a therapist to the house still like they did back when she had her first, we'd get more of our questions answered. She has her first out patient therapy Monday morning so hopefully she can get reassured that her pace of recovery is fine and/or we can know what more we can do to get her there.

Been doing a little retail therapy on subeta when I have time to play. Fun and works for a few minutes. Csc is expensive with sP and I'm gonna be broke soon if I don't figure out a different thing to do. lol

I wish fireworks would just be outlawed except for professionals. People are stupid and have such little respect for their neighbors or the environment that on the whole we can't be trusted. Yay for adding drawing back as well as the writing. Hope you share some stuff some time.

Oh, she's neat. I think you did a really good job with the human form. I like the sense of movement (like the bend in her foot). Nice way not to deal with the hands. Not that I ever could draw well but when I tried hands were always the most difficult.
