We just got back from California and visiting friends. I'm always amazed at how much that place still feels like home, even if I find what the sate is doing to be completely idiotic. The drive was good, though. The truck did fine and we made the drive in about 7 hours. Not too bad! I'll be going to Kentucky in July to see some family, but beyond that, we will be home x)

Mom's surgery went well. Long boring day for my brother and I. No decent chairs that didn't make my ribs hurt so about 3pm my mom kicked me out.
Didn't want to go but kinda wanted to go because I was so uncomfortable.
I will miss her meeting with PT and her first getting up to walk etc which I didn't last time. :(

They are hoping she can come home tomorrow which would be cool. We'll see. Have a lot to do around here before she gets home.

Glad you had a good trip! Hope Kentucky is a good trip too. :) With mom's surgery I have no time to see the doctor again. If after I'm done with this medicine (Wednesday is last day) and I go to just taking an otc and it's not better I'll go back next week some time. Just happening at a bad time. Too much to do and little time to rest up.

Hospitals need more comfortable chairs :( So glad to hear they are thinking she can go home so quickly, though! I hope you start feeling better and don't have to go back. It sucks when things like that just want to pile up on top of each other.

Not much really going on for me right now. We got some saddle stands out yesterday that needed to go, so we don't have to worry about those anymore. Other than that, I've been playing Prey...I love the game...nice and creepy space game xD

So I've been a little MIA the last few months. I do apologize. Things have been kinda meh. Work has been busy, and I've been dealing with some stuff with my mom.

I'm going to continue to be a little MIA the next few months. My mother has been diagnosed with Stage 1 Cancer of her Uterus. We are currently waiting for an operation date (which will most likely be in the next few weeks). They currently only see the mass in her Uterus, but when they open her up they will also explore. So we are not sure what else (if any) they will find. It is a type of cancer that does spread, so the quicker they get it out the better. She may also require some Chemo. I plan on living with my mom for at least the first week after her surgery. After that, I do not know at this time. She has been told it can be up to 12 weeks of recovery depending on how she heals. It will be a very hard summer for us both.

Anyway, I am sorry I just haven't been around. I hope that the fall will bring good news and brighter times and that I can be more active again.

I hope the surgery goes well for your Mom, and that they caught it early enough! That is scary :( hugs We've got a really good friend of the family who is fighting stage 4 cancer in his colon, and he is beating it back. There really have been giant leaps and bounds with fighting cancer ❤

Mom is home. Thirty two hours after surgery. Crazy. She's doing good. Much better than last time. Can get herself up from laying or sitting but she'll need help getting her legs back up and on pillows for awhile. Still she is definitely in less overall pain and is more mobile to start than 3 years ago.

Went to the Santana concert last night and it was as amazing as you might imagine and twice as hot. Phew, I sweated. Went with dmy and my mom. Dmy got my dad's ticket since he is still in the rehab center. Coming home next week probably? Seeing a few doctors between then and now, but that is the goal.

Lemon was able to get out of the cone the first time. She was such a badassXD

Just hanging out today. Vended the carnival machine and tossed the food items accepted into the bowl and fragged the rest. On Monday mom and I have a session with dad and his PT to train for his home care which I am really thankful for because I was worried about that.

That she is. The vet were happy to hear today that she's able to move around normally. If she hadn't been able to eat or drink I'd have had to take the collar off of her.

That is so cool! I've never seen one of those before! I've always kind of wondered how one would keep a bird from going after themselves just in general, or from a wound or something. Now I know for Wheatley x)

Sounds like not so wonderful about Billy...hope he doesn't drive you mad. Nice pics of pretty birds. Yay on the leg and your husband doing well! Trip sounds nice but like Bob Hope used to say about west Texas, "Just miles and miles of miles and miles." lol Hugs. So awful and scary about your Mom.
