Morning Everyone! Seems like every-time I go to make a post, I end up getting distracted by something! Ah well. I hope everyone is doing well! We are leaving early tomorrow morning to head to Mississippi to visit my grandma for Christmas. Very much looking forward to spending time with her, but not so much the drive.

From my point of view, as a non-native English speaker who happened to buy an English version because the cover is simply beautiful, yes. lol I'm stuck because I'm so not used to the way it's written. Maybe it's like a slightly old way of writing? Or just a book for people who read more quality stuff? Idk. The Graveyard Book was fine to me, but Moby Dick is really something else.

I've also returned after a pretty lengthy break so it sound like we're in the same boat :) I've also very recently started becoming interested in photography, I've been into art for most of my life (sketching, painting, printing, collage etc.) Nothing fancy though with the photography, just on my phone camera! ;D

Welcome to KS! My sister is going to school to be a high school art teacher, and I am a paraprofessional at a high school x) Working in education is truly a very rewarding job, even if some of the kids can be annoying, lol.

Some authors just have a difficult style of writing...I wouldn't really call it a higher quality. At least to me xD Some books that are considered classics I read and just stare at them like...what? lol

Two more days until winter break!! So close! Finals and then the semester is over! Wooo!! Then it starts all over again come January, lol. The gift bags of cookies and chocolates went over really well with the coworkers C: Got most of my Christmas shopping done, though I really don't have the funds on here :( I don't really quest or anything anymore. I might find some stuff, though.

Thanks so much! That's awesome! I've only done a couple of days so far, but when I see kids that actually care about learning the material it is sooo gratifying. Especially after managing unruly classrooms!

Definitely loving being back, I never really got far into the game when I first joined and am just now finding so many things to do! I've found that my iPhone does just fine for my purposes (just for fun basically and to document experiences), I don't know anything about proper techniques and whatnot but I guess I just go with whatever I think 'looks nice' :'D

Are you into any other kinds of creative media? I love sketching or painting from still life or other images c:

That's exciting! I played for a few years before I left, so I got some stuff done! I'm really bummed about all of the stuff I missed! So many collectibles D: I do some watercolor painting and some drawing, but that's mostly just to make fun little pieces!

Well, I can't say much about it! All we know is that it's a classic. hahaha But the same happened to me. There is this Brazilian author many people like, but when I read it, I had the same reaction as you described.

I (try to) teach Japanese to the children. Very challenging, but a good experience.

3 more days until christmas! Day off for me today. Need to get the last items from the supermarkt and then no more as it will be busy the next couple of days. Outfit for work ready (working with x-mas) and tonight going on a midwinter ghost tour trough town with spooky stories, etc.

Ahh, I am a little panicked for the holidays! I don't feel ready! I've still got gifts to make and to pick up and I am running out of time! Anybody else with me?

It soooo doesn't feel like Christmas down here in Mississippi because it's sooo warm! It's 70F this morning and supposed to get warmer! On the bright side, I think we're supposed to get snow once we get back to North Carolina!

- Oh we've got lots of presents to wrap for the kiddos! We are visiting my mom's family this year and actually have kids around, so we got them a decent bit of stuffs! We're usually just with dad's family, and I'm the youngest left at 21 (almost 22). :D I'm really excited to have my cousins around! Kids make Christmas better!
