Late time

Out of curiosity, would anyone mind sharing their ideas for boss battle strategies? I was just discussing it with someone and realized there could be various weapon, scroll, and mod combinations depending on what each battler thinks may work best. So, I'm curious if anyone wants to possibly share what item combinations they prefer to use and their reasoning behind them?

Battle Quests done for today. Completed Level 20 - an average day (but at least no more chain freezes or Possessed Bow hits from The Gate Keeper today)

Great trick! I'll have to remember it. I hadn't heard that before. I remember sort of the inverse where you defeat the Skeletal Warrior by stealing and using one of his Frostbite Claymores (living through the 100% health penalty) to gain the Stasis Shield Blessing. So many battle tricks to learn about. :-)

How is anyone supposed to beat an opponent with a 100% heal that is infinite use???? And I don't see a Tome of Life listed on the wiki either ( - did you say this was updated recently?)

- Thanks for the thought, but please don't spend your battle tokens on me right now. I am more than happy using tears. I do have 127 Very Hard Tokens but am probably going to use a bunch of them eventually to buy the Refined Components. I have 10 Extremely Hard Tokens so only 65 more to go to make the helmet ... and then only a couple more tiers and 97 Impossible Tokens (thanks to those early troll wins - yay Troll! :-) ) before I can make and use a Mecha. Since it was getting late, I didn't stop to record the blessing activation rate against The Gate Keeper yesterday, but will try to do that soon.

More importantly, I hope you are busy having a wonderful and relaxed vacation and am looking forward to hearing all about it. Including your CA Disney impressions.

- congratulations on beating The Mutant Scientist. and some of the other battlers have definitely taught me to value blasting. I use my Recycle Blaster pretty regularly now (and one day I will own my own Soma Tablets as well).

Does anyone have a list of the 2016 cash shop challengers? I have missed most of them and would love to obtain them. Are there plans to release them again? I remember buying old challengers during the black friday sale in 2015, is that still a thing?

Not necessarily... We had a few years when there were NO CS challengers available during the sale aside from the constant stock -- and they aren't on sale every year. It varies, so I wouldn't rely upon the BF sale to stock up.

Yeah I guess you might be right :O It's because I have always assumed MS points work exactly like intel boosters, but maybe the system differentiates between the two. Anyway, it's only a little more than a week before Nanielle reaches her MS intel points goal, so I'll test with her and let you know asap :D

Btw, do you want me to contribute data to your testing? Hanson has lower speed than all of the imp. challengers (GE, Flama, Ma cat, Chase, Crithbolcan, Crawbeast & Snow Fairy and obviously Prodigy), so I can test the activation rate for parch/ bona for you. Just let me know what data I should keep track of.

Wow! thank you, that's more than I could have hoped for, very useful.

I really hope they will make a comeback this year. I don't mind paying full price either (I don't think they will be discounted anyway). I might just buy some of the higher opponents from usershops (if available) and wait to see if the others are on sale in the cash shop later to complete my collection.

That's pretty much my plan too ^^ Like bonita said, you can never be sure. I'm feeling pretty optimistic because the staff has been quite eager to get more old items out in the right place (BF sale being the obvious one here) but of course each year might be different. AND if the fabled reset is coming, it would be nice to get all the exp before and after, ya know ;)

(By the way, reading back the thread, it seems people are talking about the reset more again. Have you guys heard something or is everyone just as optimistic as I am?)

I'm hoping they bring back old challenger unlocking items as well, I'm missing nearly all of the ones from the 2013 research note series.

When they are brought back though, they're usually not discounted. At least they weren't last year. But I think the ~30 mil for 250 CSC each is still cheaper than some of them are in user shops. The ones I need are all around 40-50 mil currently. So I don't mind waiting to see if I can get them for a little cheaper.

I think it's just people being optimistic. Lots of posts have also been people finishing up the last few difficult challengers they needed 10 wins on still, so I think more people are hoping for a reset soon so we can all get some more EXP. :P

Anyone have stats on this?
I thought it was supposed to be an equal chance of getting 0-3 (I used to average 1.7) but this week I think I may even be averaging less than 1. Probably just a bad luck streak, but I was wondering if anyone knew for sure what the rate is and/or if it has changed.

That's a tough question to answer since each boss is different. I change my sets accordingly.

I have used 613 of those and gotten 886 HP, which equals to 1: 1.44. I guess the actual odds are 1:1.5 (which corresponds to an equal chance of 0-3). I think you had an unlucky streak, which seriously sucks...

I usually just liked to get a freeze off asap. Then try and keep a chain freeze going while trying different weapon combinations. It worked for the most part though sometimes it does sacrifice damage outcomes cause you are trying to keep them from hitting you dead.

What would you recommend between singed + crit (or parch + crit if the boss freezes) and all crits for weapons for boss fight?

The fairy tale ones didn't appear, which sucked :( I managed to buy all the research notes I needed though, which was like 8 so I'm super happy about that. I only have 3/12 from last year ._.

They don't bring back the set for the current year, so says in in this news post in reply to . The whole challenger collection released for a certain year will likely be brought into the BF sale the following year. If I understand it right the fairy tale collection is likely to make a comeback this year's BF.
