As far as I know, there is only one [random] weapon that works against The Troll, which mostly are low tier weapons (tier 1 - 4 I've read), but this weapon changes every 5 wins. Not sure if there were any new developments.

Ah yeah some of those ingredients are expensive =( That was not me but yay hopefully it was filled with some nice things :D I have a funny feeling I think I know who it is hehe. @ Wesker I think I blasted Painter of Lightning every time I've won so far; it's a definite must. I don't have the syringe, but I plan to invest. I have Swashbuckle, but am unfortunately just below tier 11. Give me a month, and I'll be there, but I'm really impatient, so I was hoping to beat Sophie before then. ^^ The bangle is a 10% heal, but its attack will rarely get through her defences, so I keep it for added defence/heal. The pstaff and arm bangle are definitely possible swap-outs, just gotta find some good stuff to replace them with. I have modded with parched.

I got smailed two wonderful guides to Sophie and Error, so I've got a few more concrete ideas from there. Might try the .

Congratulations on getting your fifth win against the Ice King. He seems to challenge me constantly lately (but maybe he only does that because he knows I'm not ready to beat him yet. :-) )

- the Troll is different than the other challengers. It's really intended as a group effort. At any given moment, there is only a single weapon that will allow you to hit him if you use it. If you are using that special weapon, then you can use any other weapon and it will also hit. The key is finding the special weapon. It changes every time anyone on site submits a battle that is that pet's fifth win (or any other multiple of five - tenth, fifteenth, ... ). So you can be in the middle of a battle with the Troll and the correct weapon can change so you suddenly can't hit him anymore. I hope that helps explain. Please let me know if you have more questions about him.

Funny how you start something and work at it day by day and then, all of a sudden BIG result (in your case 5 T13s). I'm so impressed by what you've accomplished. Maybe one day I will have more than one T13 as well if I just keep working on it.

- so much for my dreams of beating him with my own armory/scroll library. :-) I don't think I'm going to buy Soma Tablets (for the second blast), and make a bunch of Typhoon of Valor Scrolls (at about 800,000 sP each right now). And, of course, the trident is unbuyable. I'm starting to think that is the one weapon that gets used all the time. No big deal, I may just have to keep training and flatten that slyph next time it shows up. :-) I am seeing that Soma Tablets should also be on my battle wishlist. It's the one thing I keep needing to borrow for TBT, and I'm starting to be very fond of blasting. :-)

Do you double blast and then forfeit to save time if you don't blast the right weapons? Or do you double blast and then hope to get lucky enough to last through the battle? When I was fighting the hydra, I just did the latter. Using forfeits as a time saver when things are hopeless is a new idea I'll have to remember next time I take on the almost impossible.

If those Perilous Whirlpool Scrolls were as inexpensive as when you made them, I would have just made my own to fight that hydra. :-) I haven't seen any useful scrolls from the shrine at much less than 1 million sP each (not that I've tried to look at all of them, of course).

- with an 11% heal and not taking the healer slot, is there some reason why I don't see battlers using the Deep Sea Shadowglen Anchor more often (or are they using it and just not mentioning it). I do see that it doesn't have any mod slots. I'm trying to get some feeling for what weapons are good for general use (and preferably multiple tiers). In case it makes any difference, my pets are currently T9, T8 and T4.

If I remember correctly, it doesn't heal 11% every turn, its something like a 50% chance to heal 11%/turn.

Are typhoon of valor scrolls still only 800K each to make today? I made 20 of them earlier today already.

It looks like they would be about that. I just did a quick user shop price search on all of the ingredients and some rounded math right before I posted that cost. Do I even want to know what you do with so many of them??? :-)

Ugh just....ugh. The only thing that would help me is getting a new job. I literally just got home and it's 7pm my time. As I am pulling into my apartment complex I get a call saying they are having issues and if I can come back in....Luckily they were able to find the issue and I didn't have to go back in, but this is literally almost every day that I get calls like that. I am having a drink now and finishing my quests to relax haha.

See if you can borrow a syringe, then your setup will look like this:

blessed trident, unstable syringe, soma tablets, energized helmet, rblaster, pquill, reviver, and last slot can be for a bomb or third weapon. If you could borrow the paint brush blades, that might also help as well. I forgot to mention earlier but you will want to make the energized helmet in the battle shop and use that as your 100% freezer. I should be able to lend you my syringe if you only need it for 24 hours. I will need two parched baguettes replaced on it.

As for scrolls, I would swap out the divine denizhen and corroding dew for freezing scrolls like shriek of despair or psycho smasher as I believe she can be frozen. Basalt blast is also not very good. Depending on how much AP you have, you may want to consider adding a gift of the forj scroll, another freezing scroll or a sancturia exodin scroll.

I love my trident, it has been a staple in my set since I bought it before the tier system. Definitely worth the investment IF you can find it for the right price. I would not spend more than 400 mil on it. I bought mine for 315 mil waaaay back when and sold my spare for 350 mil so you can definitely find them for less than 400 mil.

I never forfeit a battle, even if I think I am definitely going to lose because you never know. Maybe I get a crit hit or maybe I learn something new. I always go down swinging. When I know I am about to die I don't even bother with blocking. I hit as hard as I can to see how much damage I can do.

It sounds like they need to increase restocks at the shrine shop or quantities.

As I was telling I don't have much choice. My official title is design and development engineer for a medical device company but what I really do is put out fires on the production floor. When equipment goes down I am usually the first person they call after maintenance can't fix the issue. That's the problem with being a tool owner, they expect me to come in at any time if production is hard down.

I let them sit in my my scroll library until the day they theoretically become useful. Here is my buy list from today:
