I think even if this weapon had no custom coding, it would still only be a mediocre tier 11 weapon

45-60 defense over 2 icon types + 11% heal + 40 icons spread over 4 icon types is pretty mediocre.'

Given a 2000/2000/2000/2000 pet (early tier 11) An OG god weapon puts out a max potential of 1318 damage healed/blocked

Paintbrush blades puts out 557 potential damage healed/blocked

Current mastered gauntlet puts out a max of 890 (average pressumably ~797)

Unmastered gauntlet puts out 551

Combining the 2 weapons, I think you have a pretty low end tier 11 weapon here (even if I knew how to master it on turn 5).

- ouch, sounds like I'm probably waaayyy outclassed then. My weapons/scrolls may not be as good as yours. I would suggest you try blasting (or double blasting) to see if it helps. I used a [item2=Recycle Blaster] against the five headed hydra to get to ten wins with Tharg (my Tier 8) and it really helped for the last five wins when I got lucky and had multiple turns in a row where he used those useless weapons. I had to do it the long way, one attack weapon, one defense weapons plus Aftershocks turn after turn. The battles were long, and I lost a few along the way, but it got the job done in the end. Either way, wishing you success. I would be very much interested to hear about anything new you try.

Paintbrush Blades really isn't that bad, though. It is the most affordable and common recommendation for T11. I'd like to see another mod slot, but another reliable water blocker in circulation is certainly appreciated.

Well, it's not really going well. :P Just shelled out for a Bludgeon of Mass Extinction, Intricate Energized Helmet, Aftershocks Scroll, and Shriek of Despair Scroll, and still failing. Waiting to see if anyone will lend me an Amulet of Neutrality.

This may not be the most popular idea, but I used my to beat the Hydra with a T9. It has a blessing that heals 1,000 HP for three turns when activated. If you can get it to activate, it will make things a bit easier. That blessing has gotten me through a number of tight binds before.

Compare it to Unstable sample syringe which puts out 1060 potential defense in tier 10

Even the Tier 8 frostbite amulet against a heavy water opponent would put out 660.

Not having a relavent ammount of defense is argueably even worse than not having healing.

Paintbrush blades are a decent budget swiss army knife, but when trying to put together an optimal set, its min/max potential is garbage.

@ Jess Good tip, that would be handy. He keeps managing to one-shot me. For sure need the Amulet of Neutrality (oh battle gods, please lend!). Hell, what's another 13mil after the quantities of currency I've already shelled out tonight. (I have like 5 EH tokens, so can't buy it in the battle shop.)

Gotta agree with you there. For the difficulty of this particular challenger, I don't think the weapon stats are appropriate, unless whatever special effect it has increases its stats and makes it better for the rest of the battle.

You will want to block two of the following: wind, fire, magma, dark,earth and maybe light. I would recommend blessed trident and Cursed Liquid Fire Torch or Lambent Guardian Crystal. Cobalt and SE scrolls go a long way again. Gift of the forj is a clutch healing scroll. For your infinite scroll, you will want aftershocks. Blasters, as always, will improve your odds. I would use the energized helmet or scientist specs to freeze the first time and chain freeze him if you have the opportunity to before he activates the blessing where he can't be frozen. Perilous whirlpools and fatal fire can be helpful if you don't have a fire blocker. Malignant Rift Staff is another good option for weapons. The minotaur knocker is another option if you don't have a blessed trident. Not sure what else is there for T9. I haven't tried to fight yet with my T8. I will update you when I try.

Is Unstable Sample Syringe not an outlier, though? The rest of the nice T10 weapons are too expensive and everything else left in that tier doesn't compare 😛 Frostbite Amulet doesn't heal, which makes it impractical in my book.

Switching to cronus + OHS to see if that helps. I don't think this guy freezes? Going to mod with all crit hits xD

I think he freezes if I remember right. crits might help, or stack a certain icon type to make it past his awful defense
