Don't remind me, reset, UGH... we will have to battle the Troll again. OMG.
I found that challenger to be such a pain.

HA screw that. That's one challenger I can live without. I'm hoping they give us at least a month's warning on the reset, because I have some serious catching up to do with all the littles.

I'm hoping they will do it when there's a lull in their schedule. Not during events. :)

Had no wifi for the past 2 days, managed to do my minimum training on my phone. We had maintenance in our area so at first we thought it was just that, turns out one of the cables had come loose too ... I'm blaming the cats ;P

: Lol @ spreadsheets. You just described me to a T. I don't tend to battle with my smaller pets until close to the end of an event, so they're basically being around doing nothing. Having said that, I've got to remind myself to throw a few last wins in for my 3rd battle pet against the Scary Singer tomorrow before he retires.

What is this reset you're talking about? :o

: The impending reset will erase your win counts against all the non-recycleable challengers (such as Event or Throwback challengers) in the BQ so you can beat them 10 times again and get drops and 5th win special loots :D

plops looking defeated Hey guys been a long time...You know I swear I was going to get Hoarfrost this year, got him once...but when I use the weapons they suggest on the battle wikia (WHICH I LOVE BTW!), that I have and can afford! I swear Im doing worse then I was with my other weapons... :(

Im sure this has been asked...but is this just a keep letting him throw you around and hope to get a win type of thing...or am I doing something wrong?

First and only win: I was using my Cronos and Vanishing weapon, seemed to get him on a chain freeze with awkwardly the gale force scrolls...

Switched after reading the wikia and brought out my PB blades and Unstable Syringe, and it seemed like it was doing nothing. sighs

Hoarfrost does a lot of ice and dark damage with the potential to do wind and physical. I tried the syringe and pbb for the ice/dark block but I got him down to below half health with the syringe and sierrac flail. The flail has a chance to freeze. I think the best strategy against him is to chain freeze him and hope he doesn't crit hit you when a curse is active. I also blasted his weapons and used the mecha for some extra damage during the battle. I would use healing scrolls when you can and save your weapon healers for when you're cursed and as needed. For me it's probably going to be luck most of the time since my pet is low T12

First, thanks for responding! I forgot to say I was using the Mecha as well...I think your strategy is sound. I will give it a chance...I noticed the soma tablets did nothing LOL :D so...I will keep trying..:P I just didnt remember him being so difficult last year and thought it was just my tier shrugs

No problem! The somas are nice in that they are another blaster with the potential to freeze and curse him. When he does knock you down to only using one weapon, stick with the syringe. I am using all my scrolls to chain freeze in the beginning since I don't know when he will disable them. The flail is nice because you'll get the chance to freeze even if he disables scrolls. Good luck to you as well! I may try him again this evening just to refine my strategy but then I am just going to focus on getting my stats higher.

Unrelated but does anyone know if when they reset opponents, does the number of wins against opponents for achievements also get reset if you haven't unlocked the achievement? I can't remember

ARGH!! I hate that freeze scroll thingy...but yes I will pull out the flail and try it on him too...just in a bit. I might have to pull out my blaster and see if I can mess up his weapons a little too.

regarding the reset...I dont believe it resets the achievements (I wish...) but I could be wrong...other battlers are more familiar with this.

Nope, if you have 3 wins on meatslab and he resets, you only need two additional wins to get a baal
