MrCool has an excellent blog on various challengers.
Link is in the OP. Here is what he said about Meatslab:

meatslab Furious is hellishly hard. Not only does he have very high stats; his weapons can easily overwhelm you as well. Don’t even bother taking him on unless your pet is at least mid tier 12 (obviously classifed as an “impossible” challenger). His stats are as follows: Health: 35,000 Attack: 5,000 Defense: 4,000 Speed: 5,500 (formerly 3,800) EXP: 17,500 His stats have all improved since his Awakened stage, but his health skyrocketed to the point where it is almost as high as that as his friend Mutant Scientist. His health alone makes his weapons very troublesome: Bone Spurs: 17 earth, 10-25 wind, 10-25 fire, 10-15 magma May give Throbbing Pain curse (10 dark, 10 magma; 7 rounds) Mighty Flex: 35-100 physical Boosts attack by 750, defense by 250 Baal Risen: 45 or 55 magma, 30 or 35 fire, 30 or 35 dark Blocks 125 magma Boosts attack by 350 Head Explosion: 50 or 75 magma, 25 or 50 dark One use Flayed Peasant Breastplate: Blocks 4 or 20 physical/earth/ice/wind, 6 or 30 fire/dark/magma May give Sepsis curse (10 dark; 3 rounds) Glowing Bluud Wand: Heals 2-10% Bulk Meat Scroll: Blocks 3 of each icon type His Bluud Wands heal very annoying amounts of health, so blasting them will make the battle a lot less time consuming. He has a tendency to deal magma, fire, and dark icons. Unfortunately though, you can’t really completely block out all of those icons anymore since defense is now limited and he does ridiculous amounts of a single icon type. What makes things even worse is that Mighty Flex, which not only throws off his icon types by adding high amounts of physical to the mix, but also gives him an insane stat boost that can quickly cause his attack to more than double. With this weapon being so problematic, a physical block might not hurt either. This guy is going to be nearly impossible to beat without at least one god weapon that blocks magma or dark or fire or physical. His boosting can make survival very difficult even if you are giving off a large block of the correct icon types. The magma is especially problematic.

Welcome back! I missed your earlier post ~ since the site was so unstable I wasn't reading anything I wasn't pinged about...

IMO the ether is still worth buying. I can lend if you want to "try before you buy" -- same w/cronus. I couldn't beat the side of beef without it. I ask that you replace mods though.

OMG! I completely forgot about that part! falls on floor

I live in MN, and whatever you've heard... It's much worse.

Thank you for the tip. :)

The site is unstable indeed, but it seems to get better over time. I lack good physical blocker as for The Ether, so I'm glad it is still worth its price. I would love to borrow Cronus and beat that pile of meat as soon as possible. :P No problem with replacing mods I think. I'll drop a comment.

a fresh new board whoottt !!!!

i think it would be better if they would delete all old threads that are older then 2 years !!! i see boards from 2012 and 2011 still being around - if they would delete all those they would have more space and maybe all would go smoother too !!!

usefull threads they can keep but all others - just delete them every first of januari and only keep the last 2 years !!!

I would get behind that idea. Deleting old threads.
I wish they would put the locks on the threads over 5k posts.

I want to go watch that movie again now lol that and a Christmas story since that's what I traditionally watch during the holidays.

I'd say the ether is worth it if you don't have Natasha or AU. I prefer AU for the chance at 50% heal but they're not easy to come by as of late.

-- so if you have natasha the ether is worthless ?? or can it still be usefull for some opponents to generate stealing items ?? for steal-happy opponents - or just not needed to have both and natasha and ether ??

just wondering if you dont mind i ask it :)

I have both. Natty blocks fire & is good against thieves. Ether is a physical block. AU is the weapon that also blocks physical. I have all 3. There are always weapons you can do without, just as there are always situations where one weapon will be better than another. I would say ether is going to be MUCH cheaper than AU -- IF you can find one...

Edit:

I only watch A Christmas Story in the summer since it is overplayed now. It's like this generations version of It's a Wonderful Life. The only thing I MUST watch during this season is the Grinch -- and that's just for his dog, Max. ;) However, I am not one who can pass up a comedy -- I love to laugh too much. So don't hold me to the ACS rule... ;)

Ether blocks phys while Natasha blocks fire, but both generate steal fodder. Since they both have the same heal and generate steal fodder, I would buy Natasha over the ether for the fire block

If I had 400mil to burn, I would buy one, Ether that is. I do have an AU in my armory, just to look at, not in my rotation.

You might need a Cronus blade to beat him. I have one to lend if you can replace the mods.

I think what I have is pretty good at least, for now anyway until someone remembers a good one I forgot xD nice job on the bhh!

yeah Ether is good if you don't have AU. not too necessary though, there aren't a whole lot of challengers that deal out enough phys to make it worth it, but it's still nice to have. jealous of your ostaff :)

So... thanks to :

You Won!

You have defeated Meatslab, the Furious 5 times!

Meatslab, the Furious drops:

You earned 32805 sP for beating Meatslab, the Furious!

Asztar earned 10334 EXP Points!

Thank you so much for the info on The Ether. Could you please tell me what AU stands for, since I can't remember or just don't know the item after such long break from Subeta? And thank you for the offer, Julie. I got the Oracle staff 4 years ago from the Crystal Shop if I remember correctly. XD

I can lend that too, when you're done w/ cronus. It is, imo, better than either, but the price is likely to be massively higher.

Thank you, looks like a plot item. :3

I'm sorry to hear that. :( Feel free to drop a comment if you ever wanted to borrow the staff. :P

yup it came from the faded memories plot I believe? it's a nice little thing to have, though I can't say I've used it very much compared to other things.

thanks for the offer :) I likely won't ever need to borrow it, I've got things that do the job just fine usually. it's just one of those few items that if I ever saw up for sale and could afford, I'd buy it in a heartbeat xD

Haha they do play it a lot and is very overkill. Me too. Always good to have a good laugh once in a while.

Lucky! How many crystals was the ostaff? I wish they brought more of the old weapons we call godlies back. I think I remember staff saying that SoSS was pretty much just for collectors as there are other more obtainable weapons that pretty much do the same thing. What's the point of having a weapon though that's meant to just sit in a gallery and not be used :/

- thanks. Recently Blackheart Hollow has become my best weapon shop. Before the scythe, I found a Deluxe Death Shard (which has really helped upgrade my work in progress weapon set) and a Shinigami which I'm still trying to figure out what to do with. My first battle pet should make it to Tier 9 sometime in the (sort of) near future.
