It's always nice when you can beat a new challenger that you struggled with before. :)
Eventually you'll be able to beat them all! But some of the Impossible ones are just really tough, even for high tier pets and experienced battlers.
What kinds of weapons did you change? Just curious.
I switched my and with and
I'm really late adding the core I know... I kept forgetting about it xD but I was hesitant to take out my Malerias Clawed Glove because I still use it often when feeding my gourmand. with the increase to tier 11 I decided to put in these paintbrush blades that I was gifted but could never use before, and decided to switch in my core too. Then I kept the old set together for feeding purposes.
My set is now
Not bad! How are you with scrolls?
I know it can be hard to put together a good set without spending a crazy amount of sP. I keep telling myself I should save for OHS and Natasha from the MC, but they're just so expensive and there are other things I'd rather spend for right now.
Trying to prioritize everything can be tough. ;~;
Best not to ask about scrolls xD I still don't have the hang of those at all so what I have is pathetic at best. I have no idea what the big battlers have scroll-wise either.
And yea, I like battling but I have higher interests xD Namely wardrobe and pet things (slots, treasures, etc). Probably the only reason I started battling is because opponents often drop things I want FOR my wardrobe or pet treasures and I would rather get the drops myself than buy them. (even though sometimes I buy them anyway lol) So it all really goes hand in hand for me.
That's kind of how I got into battling too, I just like to collect things in general (for collections, achievements, wardrobe). And I wanted to be able to get the battle loot and stuff myself instead of buying it. Even though buying them probably would be cheaper in the long run than training a pet and buying weapons for it and all that. But ah well, at least you get that sense of accomplishment when you're able to earn something yourself.
It helps if you just think of scrolls as extra weapons. Most battles like the following kinds of scrolls:
Infinite use healing scroll (Aftershocks is a popular one, but there are others)
Some freezing scrolls (Psycho Smasher and Shriek of Despair are the main two, Cold Blast is another that was released with the recent battle updates so you could probably get that one yourself)
And then some scrolls for blocking icons or that do a bit of attack, or both (Cobalt Eternal is a good blocking scroll, in the MC for only 5 mil each; Fatal Fire is another cheap-ish one that blocks dark and fire with some attack icons).
There's also the Scroll Guide (The Complete Scroll List) that's worth a look through to see what they all do (not completely updated I think, but it has most of them).
Sorry for the long post, but scrolls can be really helpful in battles (at least the healing and defending scrolls for sure). And the cool thing about them is they're only limited by how much intel your pet has, so you don't have to be a certain tier to use them or anything.
They are just so darn cute! Not possible to stay mad at them lol.
I wish we could have a dog in our apartment :( but without a yard it would seem so unfair to him/her.
Awe thanks Hun hugs This is the first time I have put ears on her. I had the item on my WL for a really long time because it was unbuyable anywhere. First I found the and I knew I had to wear it. Then I found the that I originally just wanted for my gallery, but I really loved the colors of the actual clothing item. Lastly I found the and to me they just seemed perfect together. I just HAD to wear them lol! I figured all 3 items would rot on my WL, so happy they were in the pawn shop!!! Still trying to find pants that I am completely happy with, but these will do for now :)
Sorry if I missed commenting on anything. Frantically trying to get all of my last minute things done before our trip tomorrow. Too many things had to be put off until today and now I am scrambling! (My post looks like a children's book lmao)
thanks & congrats! what is your set now? recycle beast is only like a t7 challenger so I'm going to bet there's a lot more you can beat now with your new set :)
Just offer a junk item on the trades for pumpkins :) New achievements. I have most of the food items and books but I don't really collect plushies or wings. Ugh and the leaf achievement all of the items are in the millionaire shop which means it will cost a fortune. :(
CWs for Sale or Trade https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/24266
Oh, that was super lucky, congrats on all the WL items. Those ears are definitely too cute just to be in a gallery. :)
Good luck with your pre-trip preparations and have a good time.
Yeah, I think I might skip the millionaire center based achievements for now! It requires a LOT of things I don't have.
Thanks :D I think I am just about finished with the pawn shop. Not too much in there I am willing to spend the csc on even if it is on my WL.
So many things to do and so little time!
Yeah, I must say I got a couple of items and then stopped. The prices weren't super-bargain, but the discount was nice. My next saving up will be for a GA - all hail the auto pricer!
You will have a good sense of accomplishment after getting all the things in order! :)
Question for all you smart people: who gives out ? Is it Charity or Rreign? That's the only book I still need and I want to know if I need to bonfire for it or donate food for it.
- I looked at the leaf achievement and noped right back out of there. Too expensive for me. - skipping the millionaire center one. - I saw a few things on my WL when the pawn shop first opened. Snagged one, but the other one was gone by the time my 5 minutes was up. I've seen a few other things, but mostly, I've been buying from CW sales or from the cash shop boutique.
SubetaLodge reckons: Fireside 2010: Bonfire item
Hopefully that's right!
- Perfect. Charity can suck it with her old, cheap items. :P
Shh, don't let her hear you! Mind you, I have mainly been donating hot dogs and the like so everyone's probably fallen asleep from so much junk food.
Am I over thinking this...?
xD
Happy bonfire-ing.
Yeah, I kind of wish they would remove some of the older items from her pool, or at least increase the chance that she'll give you an item in the first place. I got about 50/50 chance of getting an item from her when I was donating stuff, I got way better chances of getting an item from Fantine and got her new food items much more quickly because of it.
At least if you get some old food items from Charity, you can just give them right back to her. :P
To be honest, this has been a good game plan! And, since fragging odds were improved, I am minding the endless repeats a bit less too.
I missed a lot of pumpkin collecting, so may end up delaying Fantine until next time.
- yes, good catch, thank you. Sometimes, especially when I'm rushed or tired, I don't seem to be able to keep things straight. Fixed that post to ping .
Glad you liked the cartoon.
That looks like a really nice heating pad. I don't have a pet right now, but I'll have to remember it for friends and family that do.
- congratulations on getting a Storm Potion from Tempest. Good luck deciding which kind of pet to adopt next.
Next time your post is too long, just post part of it - and then go back and edit it to add the rest. As far as I can tell, you can put all of it in one post, as long as you use edit to do it. :-) (FYI - I just did that with this post.)
True. I rarely even think much about achievements, unless there is some item reward that I really want. I check them during events just to participate and rarely worry about reaching the top level unless it's just for something to do. Every once in a while I also can't resist a title, but I'm not sure why since I pretty much never actually use them. :-)
I suppose it's a maternal instinct or something like that. But it's still silly. :-)
Lots of people in the US feel the same way about Christmas and its religious aspect. But the thing is that it's usually Christian people (of various denominations and both practicing and not practicing) who feel that way. Most of the Jewish people I know don't feel that way (unless, of course they are now in a mixed family and it's a regular family event for them). In fact, it can often be the non-religious aspects of the holiday that are most difficult for us. I don't mind not being included in Midnight Mass (although I would go if invited). But it can be hard to be the only one with nothing to do and nowhere to go when everyone around you seems to be celebrating all at once. You can wind up feeling very lonely and/or left out. And it wasn't that long ago you couldn't even stay home and watch tv, because it was all Christmas movies. (I love It's A Wonderful Life as much as anyone else - but there's a limit to how many times you can watch it, and it can be depressing if you're all alone on Christmas Eve or Day.) That's why so many Jewish families here spend Christmas eating at Chinese restaurants (usually the only ones open) and going to a movie (also the only thing open). Or families where everyone is Jewish will get together - not to celebrate the holiday, but just to have something to do while everyone else we know is busy. And the fact that this one 24 - 36 hour period is led up to for so long can sometimes just make it harder to cope with when it arrives. It's complicated. I love the holiday for my friends (and some family members) and love to share some of it with them when I can And I love how so many people are happy and often concerned about others. But it can also be difficult to be on the outside looking in. And extremely hard to avoid if you're overwhelmed by it (and I understand that can be true for Christians whose holidays are not the joyous things seen in the movies and on tv as well).
I never wanted to battle online because I don't like fighting in real life. But I have played D&D and of course lots of games. And the battle community was just so wondeful to everyone that I wound up becoming active. It can take up a lot of time (and sP too) if you are really serious or want to progress quickly. I find that I enjoy the puzzle solving aspect of beating a challenger who is hard. And the people. Subeta is full of wonderful, warm, friendly, concerned and generous people. And the battle community is amazing.
Subeta events where people all get together are a big deal for me too. And while, I don't collect wearables and make HA's myself, I really enjoy seeing all the amazing HAs that you and others who love the wardrobe manage to create. Sometimes I am just in awe at how you put all those little details together and make something so beautiful.
I started on Neopets. I liked all the games there. But it was never a home to me like Subeta is. And my account was hacked long ago. Even after I found out and self-froze it took months for them to get back to me. So I had to find something else to do (no side accounts in my case). But I'm really happy here so everything worked out well in the end. :-)
Oooh - congratulations on finding two WL items to buy! I hope you have lots of fun creating HAs with them.
Sounds like you are very well covered in the IT department. That's always so helpful. (Sad that one of them doesn't have some older spare hardware to loan you until you're ready for a purchase. That has happened here once in a while.)
Yes, has created some really spectacular HAs. I loved her Wizard of Oz one.
- huge congratulations on getting to Tier 11 and on your upgraded battle items. Always so exciting to reach a new battle milestone and see how much progress you have made.
And yes, it's so hard to think of kbbob as now, isn't it? Although I can certainly appreciate that it's nice for him since he's probably been Kevin to himself all along. :-) You might want to take a look at this Petition for a new Challenger with kbbob loot :-)
- yes, it can be hard to have a dog in an apartment, although if you're willing to do the work to talk them out for walks, there are some breeds that don't need yards for exercise. And when I was small my aunt and uncle actually had a huge German Shepherd in an apartment and he seemed to be quite happy too. I really loved that dog! They used to take him out in the alley behind the apartments and throw rocks for him to chase (or at least my cousin did). He was such a sweetheart. He adored my uncle, but loved everyone. In fact, they used to joke that if a burglar came to the apartment, the dog would lick him to death. :-)
Hope you have a fantastic holiday trip.
- according to SubetaLodge, [item2=Baking for Fireside] is a 2010 bonfire item, so not certain whether it's given at all all this year. Anyone else know for sure?
I really concentrated on getting items that were not for sale anywhere else. I knew most of the stuff would not be discounted a huge amount.
I missed a super cute companion and a sunflower hair clip :( I guess most of the stuff I bought isn't that popular lol.
At our old apartment we could have had a small dog, but this landlord wont let us have a dog at all :( Thanks Hun :D
