- I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip. It's a shame that such good things sometimes seem to fly by so fast, but you still have the rest of the holiday season to enjoy. Hope it is a wonderful one for you.

- there is never such a thing as too many deviled eggs around here. They go really fast whenever they appear. :-)

That would feel weird. Hopefully, both halves will feel fine soon, so it won't be a problem anymore.

True. Having friends nearby is always a good thing.

Yes, having a problem with your finger can certainly affect how you use a touch screen. I can still remember when they first changed to a touch screen at the ATM for a local bank - and it didn't want to register my fingers (probably because they weren't warm enough) so I had to keep trying multiple times for every touch. Fortunately, the technology has improved and I don't have that issue any more. :-)

Only one way to be sure and that's to call the number on the back of the card and ask. The worst they can do is say no. And I do know that they really try hard to be helpful when they can. Be sure to mention that it took some time to go back and forth with the merchant yourself and wait for the item that never showed up. That might make a difference in their time frame.

I use a no fee reward credit card to pay for everything now., except those few things (like utilities) where I would have to pay an extra fee. I pay the card in full every month but I get rewards that really add up after a while. I have earned quite a lot of extra money that way and I also have their backing any time something goes wrong (either help with a merchant or a courtesy refund of something that the merchant wouldn't fix). For me it turns out to be a great way to essentially earn extra money.

Puppies always get into things somehow, no matter how careful you are. Hopefully, your modifications will keep both her and your things safe until she's old enough to be out in a dog house. And good for you for keeping a young puppy in the garage until she's older - too many people would have stuck her outside immediately and not even thought about that.

I am hoping to get back up there when it is not a holiday. It was crazy crowded. I want to go during the week and have a better chance of looking around and taking pictures. You can't take a decent pic with so many people walking around you.

I need to get a good camera :( I bought Emily a tablet, but the pics always come out a little blurry no matter what I do. I can't figure it out.

- a tablet may or may not have a good camera, but is probably big enough to be hard to hold really steady which could easily result in blurry pictures. Is there some sort of option on the tablet camera to avoid motion/blur? Also some of the other camera settings may be wrong for the conditions you are trying to take pictures in.

Cannot believe the Subeta staff generosity, the lovely gift was unexpected and great. I'll probably put it towards my next GA. And make more pet goals.

Whenever I have a spare pet slot I love hanging around the adoption centre looking for a pet who will be a good fit with my others. I have been so lucky with great names and/or pet types I was looking for.

Do you have many collectible books on here? I kept a few, but I try to read as much as possible to as many of my pets as possible, so I tend to focus on the cheaper or restockable books. (There's a bunch in donation corner right now, i am slowly grabbing!)

With the economic problems we had over here, there were a lot of pubs closing down which was really sad - but now there are 'micro pubs' popping up - smaller buildings, so you get less people in, but they can be cheaper to run and are almost like being in someone's home! Good fun.

I'm glad you have your own work-around for the holidays. And no one needs an excuse for Chinese food! :p

Oh, goodness, yes - a sense of humour and fun is so important in events. And I love it when they include back stories and learning more about the NPCs here on the site.
When posting on the Suggestions boards, I try as much as possible to get references to the pets and characters on here as I think there's so much fun lore and story possibilities.
Have you ever had a look round the Subeta wiki? There are many older or more obscure characters there, and it's interesting to see the evolutions of some.

Even a non battler would support a kbblob. Let's hope we get something good from that.

Yeah, I am rationing csc funds now, as I have real life festive gifts to sort, then i'll see what's left for here. The Delish lines have had some striking pieces recently.

waves How are you doing? I trust all was good for Turkey day. :)

I have not found too much so far in the black friday sales, hope you have better luck with what you're looking for. But I have some of the items from my family's Xmas lists ordered, so I am more organised that I was!

Oh my, what is it with flat tyres! Have you got it all sorted again? Did you get your shopping done OK?

If you have some spare food items, that'd be awesome - I would be happy with either regular food stuff, or pumpkins - whichever you're NOT using for your own achievements! Thanks. :)

Definitely be interested to see any quilt progress pics - it's not a tradition in my household, so it's lovely to see family traditions of others and how they follow on.

Having family members who have blood pressure through the roof, I do my very best to be calm in situations! It's not always easy, so I can appreciate that things can become stuck in your head and you end up going over every scenario of what could go wrong!
I think it's very sensible to hold off hosting until you have a proper back up available.

Oh, that's good, you should have a nicely lit tree from those ones. I have't seen much purple/silver tinsel for years - I think I maybe last got some 5+ years ago, but pink came in as a popular colour after that so purple was sidelined by many shops here. Good luck with tinsel-ling the whole tree!
I have treated us to a new mini tree - to go on a table top - for this year. It was cheap and we have some mini baubles which get lost on the bigger tree. More festive fun!

Good to hear you're getting through the Xmas shopping too. I do think some of the sales are just a gimmick - they have 2x items at that bargain price then everything else isn't! I am such a cynic sometimes... xD

We have The Santa Clause and Jingle All the Way for Xmas films - as well as whatever ends up on TV etc. I am still waiting to hear if I have to work oveer the Xmas period with the job change too, so can't really plan much until I know.

It's nice when a voice familiar to the series does the audiobook reading, I like that. No cassette players on Black friday deals, I bet!

Hope everyone had a good weekend, back to Donation Corner for more book grabbing!

Burgers work just as well! xD

Indeed, there must be some good bargains lurking about. Channel the power of the sales and may success be with you!

Any good items from the retired fireside items/quests? Had a couple of edible things so far, nothing super rare.

This gift is so typical of Subeta. It never ceases to amaze me how generous they are and how much they care about their users. I really appreciated the comment in the news that announced the gift

Oooh - happy almost 6th Subeta anniversary. :-) Hope you wind up with a great new pet (or pets?).

Not quite sure what you mean by collectible books? I get books whenever I can and have almost always saved any expensive ones to my vault (although lately I've been reading more because I battle and want to increase my pets' AP - especially since I got a Shriek from Nightlady this year (!) :-) ). I have a LOT of books that I haven't yet read to any of my pets. But I think a lot of the higher AP battle pets have also been using intelligence stat boosters (I have some of those too) - like [item2=Shinwas Flower of Morning] Sad to hear that local pubs were closing. but those micro pubs sound like a lot of fun!

I LOVE Chinese food. I would happily eat it every day (or at least almost).

I used to read the Subetapedia Articles and check out the characters and lands. I don't think I've spent much time on the Wiki, but it might be interesting. Mostly though for me Subeta is more about the people I meet here than the NPC characters (although I do love a good story and I think it's a lot of fun when they have the NPCs posting on forum threads or otherwise interacting with everyone - and I definitely want more about Jaxon and Ian).

- well, maybe you can find a friend or family member to help figure them out. Once they're set correctly, hopefully, they'll work well for you most of the time. :-) Good Luck.

I can't write much these days, I'm doing a bit better so I'm busy in RL. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Have you tried semi (1/2) pressing down? Many cameras will focus that way. Otherwise, it might be the quality... if the images are grainy. Or issues with a steady hand, as arixen mentioned. I bought myself a new phone... mine is over 5 (probably around 8) years. It's a Samsung Galexy Note 5, refurbished. Looking forward to trying out that camera & seeing how it compares to my digital camera with interchangeable lenses :D

Especially when it isn't a fast food burger...bleh! Ahhh I need to do quests!!!

The tablet is great for everything else she wants to do and she loves it, but the camera is crap :( Trying to find a digital camera just to take personal pics and some to turn in for her photography class. What is a mirrorless camera?

- tablets are wonderful for lots of things -but possibly not as cameras, as you said.

Try looking at this, maybe it will be helpful - DSLR vs Mirrorless Cameras

- lots of cameras are on sale - especially today (it's Cyber Monday) - you might try searching for reviews of best cameras under whatever your preferred price is. The reviews often link you to a website where you can purchase. And they'll tell you something about the camera's pros and cons. And if several review sites like the same camera then you know it's probably one of the better ones. Good luck!

By the way, are you sure you can't just use your smartphone (not tablet) for what you want to do? Most of the lower end less expensive cameras are pretty much being replaced by smartphones.

What you're looking for is "Point & Shoot Cameras", term Best Buy. Canon tends to be a good brand... something like

Canon - PowerShot ELPH 190 20.0-Megapixel Digital Camera

"easily adapt to your shooting environment." does a lot of the figuring things out for you.

Checked USA Best Buy & they're on sale.

Must rest, hope you find what you're looking for.

Edit: Get yourself also a

SanDisk - Ultra PLUS 64GB SDXC UHS-I Memory Card

$15 instead of $90 (save $75)

"Memory card sold separately." So you definately need to also get a memory card. Yes, this model fits the camera.

... camera has "Optical image stabilizer Reduces image blur caused by camera shake and vibration."

"Built-in Wi-Fi Allows wireless image and video transfer"

and more, good specs for price.

Highly recommend: 2nd battery Digipower - Re-Fuel Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery for Canon NB-11L - Larger FrontDigipower - Re-Fuel Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Replacement Battery for Canon NB-11L

Not on sale ($40) but the camera has a deal of "$20 TO SPEND" so it should cost $20.

ok really must rest.

I don't have a smartphone. I just have a cheap flip phone. Only costs me $30 a month! Thanks for the tip :) Looking at this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/KODAK-PIXPRO-FZ152-Compact-Digital-Camera-16MP-15X-Optical-Zoom-HD-720p-Video-Black/172766831#read-more I don't really understand it. Can I take pics and upload them to the computer? Do I need a memory card thing for that?

Thanks Hun :) I will deff check it out! Rest well hugs
