hum, do you know if it might return? Or is there a place to suggest to staff?
Waiting for the pawn shop!
Soooo excited!!!!
How are you all doing today?
- thank you. I usually restock late at night/early in the morning, but just wanted to see if it was going to be hard for people that stock at more busy times.
Congratulations on getting that nice blob kitty item. I'm sure your future pet will love it. My poor pets have totally empty treasure chests.
It's not even always about asking. I have seen some systems that just made life more difficult for those who had to use them than the old way of doing things. And as much as I value new technology, I would hate to have to read on a Kindle and not be able to find any paper books. Like for so many things in life - it's neither all good nor all bad and how it's used can sometimes determine which.
That's just about where I"m at too. 1,065/1,500 after that little experiment earlier.
Sounds like a good plan. I'll probably also have a quiet weekend after going out for Thanksgiving on Thursday and having family visit on Friday (so I'll be looking forward to the break :-) ). Hope you enjoy yours and catch some nice floating items.
I don't mind the repeats too much ... but I was also thinking how nice MIGHTY BEAR HUGS are in real life, as well. :-) And, yes the Oracle is good for stat boosts. In fact, Tos got 6 stats today - 1 from her job and 5 from the Oracle so now less than 50 from T10. Yay! And thanks to an overly generous friend, she even has one T10 weapon waiting for her. (And also a T11 weapon that I bought when I found it selling very inexpensively as high tier weapons go). And, of course, some of her current weapons are still useful at T10 and up.
I'm enjoying my day - and I hope you are too. Thinking it might just be time to start working on the TBT and Fireside challengers.
Hope you were able to catch that pie without making too much of a mess. :-)
Debating whether to purchase the and maybe the or just wait (as usual) and buy them for sP later if I really want them. Not sure whether I even need the . Decisions, decisions. :-)
- hi! I'm good. Hope your day is going well. Have lots of fun shopping!
Well yesterday is winding down (finally) and I am heading to bed :D I have to be up in 7 hours and it takes me at least an hour to fall asleep!
I have to get ready (but I'm nervous) to see an orthodontist about braces...
the short version: not covered by health insurance (considered usually cosmetic) needed for a jaw surgery that I must have to try & reduce health probs (balance, migraines, asthma, insomnia...) Must request exception to rule (lots of paperwork) if get accepted then braces 2 years after 1 year jaw surgery (painful)
so basically what I really need is an estimate at this time... which normally is $$$ My surgeon convinced someone she knows to see me (no promise he'll give an estimate).
At the start of the year I saw someone who had given his word he'd provide an estimate... my surgeon had done probono (free) xrays, molds (plaster & wax) & digital photos worth a lot. The guy took everything when he saw me... told me estimate within a week... he never did it. Repeated phone calls, etc. he never held his word & kept all her things that we went to great lengths to do.
So I'm nervous but I have to keep reminding myself that it's a new person & give him a chance ^^ ok ok enough stalling must go!!!
Is everybody getting everything they need in the sale? Only thing I've bought is a gold medal because mine expired yesterday. Broke with CSC so probably won't buy much more if anything since I'd have to get more CSC and I would only buy stuff in the sale to sell later. Are any of the opponents worth while? Anybody know what the mystery box is giving today?
CWs for Sale or Trade https://subeta.net/user_shops.php/shop/24266
It's likely too late to get them to add more stuff to the sale this year, but they do still bring things back sometimes if things get too expensive or unavailable in shops.
You can suggest items you'd like to see brought back in this thread... Items to put back into circulation
joins in peering through the CW Pawn Shop window
It's all about the waiting, the tension and possibility of site crash is intense!
How are you doing today?
I bought some white glitter baubles prepping for the tree going up in December. Struggling for tinsel, some are quite thin and weedy this year.
Can't afford everything I want even with sale prices, but I have picked up Delish sets Mellow and Blaze which I really liked.
Awaiting Pawn shop finds now!
spies Dandybunny in Donation Corner And... mine!
Send to Minion Zoo (You have 230 there already)
I think as the event goes on, grabbing food bargains gets easier too, as some people get to their targets or switch to other achievements. That's the benefit of the longer events, cool down!
Very true, I will not be replacing my books with Kindle ones. Technology is fine for some things - I have some downloaded knitting patterns/books, things like that. But it's a very different experience than real books!
Have you ever considered doing anything with pet treasure, or is it not your thing? I know you're pretty up on battling, and that's a big field to focus on. Most of my pets have some kind of little back story brewing, but I am not going crazy - -there's 29 of them so far. And I plan for more. It'd make for an awful lot of typing... xD
Have a jolly Turkey day, then! :) As it's not a UK thing, I thing I've mentally moved on to Xmas/Lumi as the next holiday period, I have to remember other folks have got different stuff going on.
Hopefully busy but fun will be the theme for you.
Aww! As well as bear hugs, let's try for:
shark hugs
Sometimes the Oracle is amazing, I think I had a 5 level boost at one point, that was nice. I don't battle, but I try and read to/train all my pets occasionally to improve them. But it's fun to have something just for my main pet.
Thats really close to T10, well done! And any bargain is a good bargain. :)
How did the Fireside Challenger battles go?
The pie is safely in my Cake! Gallery, I made sure to wipe up the floor afterwards. Health & Safety! xD
Always shopping decisions! Did you pick? I like the glasses on site a lot more now that the eyes are visible through them on the HA. The older 'solid' glasses meant you lost the eye/make-up which was sometimes part of the HA look.
Hope everyone is doing OK and getting all the Fireside items they need!
Thank you bonfire, ready for the next pet plans!
Lol! I really hope the site can handle it! I am holding off on buying anything else until after I see what I can get from there.
Doing good today. Emily only had 2 classes this morning, so the rest of the day is free and clear to get other things done. Then I can park it in front of the comp and wait!
I hate trying to buy tinsel. I don't have to worry about that this year though. Thankfully the tinsel still looks nice from last year.
I'm still alive, just buried by boxes and tire issues. Any spelling or grammatical errors are due to a fly buzzing around my head.
If my parents had another indoor cat, Pistachio would be the one waiting for the other to get the treats out, then he would swoop in and take them.
It is nice to have our own place again, but in about 3 months I'll be by myself if my husband deploys. Not looking forward to that. However, I'm tired of looking at boxes. I'd say we have about half our things moved, but only a third unpacked.
I get frustrated by a touchpad because they just seem really finicky. I'd only plug in speakers to my laptop if I wanted to listen to music and I wanted it loud enough to hear into the next room.
I've got a case on in and I had a screen protector that only lasted for a few hours before it cracked. I spent $40 on an Otterbox glass screen protector that was supposed to be top of the line, and it cracked in the pocket of a sweater (wasn't hit by anything). Otterbox couldn't do a refund because I didn't buy it directly from the,m, but they would send a replacement or a phone case. I opted for the phone case but never got it.

I think by the time Chris and I go out to check out the Black Friday sales, the good stuff will be gone. I'm not a fan of the lines, they make it difficult to do any shopping. I always forget about Cyber Monday.
I have most of the kitchen unpacked, enough that I was able to make waffles and waffle gravy Sunday morning! Yesterday I started putting some books on bookshelves and had hoped to get to the craft room, but that didn't happen. I've had issues with a truck tire since last Wednesday, so I've ended up spending an hour and a half each day at the local repair shop. Tire couldn't be patched, so the new guy in the shop wrote down the info (wrong info, I might add) to order a new one. I called and told them the correct numbers on the tire and they still ordered the wrong tire. Didn't realize that until Chris looked at it Thursday after work. Friday I took the tire back in and made sure they ordered the right tire. Monday, I got the correct tire put on the pickup but the tire pressure monitor sensor on that wheel was broken (by the repair shop), so they had to order a replacement. Got the replacement put on today and we're good to go finally.
Yes, it is. I've got 2 closets up there, and one will be strictly for fabric. IThe other closet will have the other crafting supplies, organized into soft bins if necessary. 'm hoping I can make a design wall as well.
Chris and I now live 2 hours away from his parents, but only 15 minutes away from mine. His brother and his fiancee live in the same town as his parents, as does his grandma. His grandpa lives an hour and a half away. The other issue is getting time off work. Chris's mom works at Wal-Mart and has learned to ask for holidays off months in advance. Chris's family does a Christmas get together and two of the families that come live in different states, so its always difficult to pick a day that works for everyone. I have all of my ornaments here and a new (to me) tree. Only issue is I don't have lights for the tree because I had a pre-lit tree before. X-mas card list is here somewhere in a box that I can hopefully get to sometime soon after Thanksgiving.
I like looking for bargains, but I hate the lines. Here in the US, it seems like everyone has to get a few TV's on Black Friday and cart them all across the store, blocking aisles. Chris and I will still be at his parents; on Friday, so we'll have a wide assortment of shops to check out.
It is a balancing act. Normally I'll watch an episode or two while I eat lunch and another few episodes during supper. I try not to watch TV all day, I'll only do that if I'm not feeling well. That's the one! I've quite enjoyed it,but I haven't watched all the episodes that are on Netflix yet. Maybe I can work on that while working on x-mas gifts. I have a WW2 copy of the book that I started reading after watching a few episodes and I now just picture Father Brown as Mark Williams.
I didn't make it to the cinema. 😭 Chris and I helped my dad work fall cow/calf pairs then we went grocery shopping, so we were busy all day. Sunday Chris worked on his pickup and cleaning the garage. Maybe we can make it this next weekend. 😊
Yeah, he was very glad to not have to do it because he still gets light-headed when walking up stairs.
I've got them on my Morostide wishlist, I believe. I'll need to go through that one and move some of them over to Food for Spirill.
I use Loreal Extraordinary Oil for Curls (or something like that). I tell the same thing to Chris! 😛 Whenever my hair is looking great and he starts messing with it, I tell him to stop because it will just frizz and go flat. It was rather annoying, because the sales lady tried to pressure me into selling the products even when I said I hate doing sales. I learned some great tips there, but it felt like a waste of a trip. Luckily my husband had to get fitted for a friend's wedding that same day, so it worked out. I don't wear makeup often either, mostly just for special occasions, that's when I'll go all out. I try not to spend too much money on makeup since I don't wear it often, but I'll occasionally pick up something new. By the way, how did the date go?
I am the same way! My luck is none of the stuff I really want is on sale for cyber Monday :(
ooooh found some great stuff in the pawn shop already! A couple of items I did not think I would ever get!!!! Can't be bought in shops or anything. Figured they would be on my WL forever :D
Just got home from work so haven't checked the pawn shop yet.
Checked. I just saw the wish list view. ;) And there's a ton of them on it. Prices don't seem all that great. Most of the items I want from my wish lists are 450. Thought they'd be cheaper. So guess I won't be buying any pawn shop CWs.
Every year I keep hoping they will finally release a Reborn Mahar. My pet Malthazar was supposed to be one and I've had a potion sitting in my vault for years. I mean really, it's a dragon, it should be in flames.

- yes, that's true, for longer events it restocking and things like that can get easier as the event goes on ... just remember to factor in that it often gets harder again towards the very end as people try to finish up what they have left undone, or as lots of people cause site lag and/or problems. Basically, though, there are now so many shops that sell cheap food and stock so many items that I really think it should be fairly easy to get.
Agreed, there are many things that I read online on my computer, and lots of information that is nice to get/have electronically. But nothing is the same as reading paper. I want paper books ... and if I need to read and really understand something technical - like a contract, I want that in my hands in paper. One example - I prepare my taxes online, but never submit them until I've printed them and read the printout - even if I only later save the electronic version. Paper is easier on the eyes (unless you're on a tablet which I don't have) the length lets you see more at once helping to provide better context.
Not my thing. In fact most everything pixel is not really important to me. I like battling for the puzzle and even more for the people involved. But if a battle weapon or scroll isn't needed to do the activity, I don't care about it either. I am awed by the creativity of some and their pets' stories and treasure chests ... but it's not something I would ever do myself (on the other hand I find it hard not to feed even a pixel pet - or not to keep them happy - silly in a way, but true anyhow :-) ).
Thanksgiving is a big deal for pretty much everyone in the US. And, unlike Christmas, everyone is included. (Remember we have lots of Jews and others who don't celebrate Christmas at all - which includes me.) After Thanksgiving, since Chanukah is really a minor holiday, my next big holiday would be New Years. (All the big Jewish holidays just ended and the next one of those is basically Passover in the spring - think Easter time - Easter used to actually be based on the date of Passover.)
Holiday or not, I always enjoy being with friends and family.
Haha - those Shark Hugs are great - thank you for sharing them.
Many battlers don't like getting level boosts because that increases training costs. But, since I train evenly and would eventually have to train level anyhow, I like any boost from the Oracle, job center or random event.
I did pretty well with the Fireside Challengers - all four pets (T4, T6, and two T9's - one almost T10) got ten wins on Bandit and the top three got ten wins on Cursed Effigy (just could not manage a win with my T4) and then all four got their ten wins on Rain Sylph as well. So I'm also done with TBT since I don't have a pet that can take on Lady of the Waters. While I was working on all that, Tos also managed three wins on Ice King and I think that will be all until she is T10 and can use the ice blocking weapon I have. :-)
You don't battle at all? I know a lot of people who battle just to get the loot drops (like wearables)? Not that there is anything wrong with not battling. I mostly didn't either until The Troll and then about a year ago I started getting encouraged by some of the battlers and enjoyed them so much I decided to join them.
What are your favorite Subeta activities?
Yes, health and safety - and I'm sure a clean floor is much safer than one covered with pie goo. :-)
So far no purchases - which will, most likely be the final result too ... but I'm thinking about it a bit. I'm really only considering items that unlock battle challengers who provide useful things for later battling. And worst case is I will eventually buy stuff later - even if it's not even until next year.
I wish I was good enough at making HAs so that the eye makeup was actually important. :-) I'm impressed by the HA experts like yourself who can put all those things together to make one gorgeous HA.
- I'm sure you're not looking forward to your husband deploying. But you will be close to people so don't have to be alone (also wondering if you could even move back in with them - even for an every so often short visit if you feel the need).
I don't actually plug speakers into my laptop, but would if I wanted better sound for some reason. I was just saying that, except for high end gaming, a laptop can pretty much do anything a desktop does and can still be made portable by unplugging the extras. Finicky touchpads are a pain. A good touchpad should not be finicky in any way.
Sorry about your Otterbox experience. It can be a problem buying something from other than the manufacturer. If you paid with a credit card, you should see whether your credit card company can help. They offer warranties for thing purchased with them and will also talk to a merchant for you. In fact, if you dispute a charge, they will often give you a courtesy credit if the merchant does nothing.
Awww - cute puppy!
Date... it went ok but not great. He's dealing with a lot of issues & doesn't realize how bad it's affecting him. Some people one clicks better with & others can bring on a defensive or frustrating side, which are better left out of one's life. Well... I've informed him I'd rather not have him around (long story short). Pup, she's soooo cute! It might be chaotic for a while but when Chris deploys she'll keep you busy ;) Just make sure she doesn't sleep in your bed in his absence since you'll be stuck with her doing that even when he returns... great when they're young but quite the twister game when they're older.
I've been experimenting with the recycle blaster... I think at this stage to do preselected fighting the bow + gorgun then hit full force & if I know it'll be more than 2 rounds the recycler in the frozen stage... maybe higher up do the gorgun recycler combo. Thanks for the tips :)
I hope you can start before Christmas & enjoy a few office parties... good way to get to know coworkers ;)
I don't know about England... but in Canada, there are places where you can get refurbished computers for a lot less.
I found out about a program that helps people with mental health learn work skills by refurbishing computers. They then sell them for $100 or less to people in need... so everyone wins. That's how I got the laptop I'm on now ;)
I did a quick search... Jamie's Computers jamies.org.uk is an organization in England that sells low-cost computers (including laptops)... profits help charity, volunteers get experience, etc. I saw a few for under 100 It's also a place that will accept old laptops... they don't do repairs though.
laptopsdirect.co.uk has refurbished laptops under 200, might be worth looking at ;)
Edit: Another Dandybunny rescued from donations ;)
starlesswinter & Due to a reading disability, I prefer audio books or movies to unwind. Although... one of my fav sic-fi books is Frankenstein by Mary Shelly.
I haven't done treasure for all of my pets but my fav one is Kleenex. I try to find her things to help bring happiness to others. I don't have a huge army of pets but I try to take care of all of them... a good book basis, train them all, give them jobs, etc. So, they wind up taking more time but get more attention ;)
I managed to get 700 CSC visiting the baths... so I'll be able to get a few items from the Cash Shop but not everything. Some is better than none ;) Mystery box: if you click "this store" it shows you which store items are taken from for the day.
If you plan on getting a cat... don't use tinsel. It's very tempting for them to eat & then can cause mega tummy issues. If you're lucky you'll only get "gift" garlands but sometimes it can become much more serious.
Well it is garland. Not sure there is a difference between tinsle and garland, Is there?
I am so happy tonight! Mega shopping spree in the pawn shop :D anyone else having luck finding some goodies?
Garlands, things on a string

Tinsel, where I'm from, is thin strands...

but can also be known in other places as

thin strands are the worst, garlands depending if a cat can chew/eat (e.g. small plastic balls aren't interesting for a cat but popcorn is) is better to be left out of reach for kitty... cats can stretch upwards, jump and are creative when they want something.
Also... avoid blinds, especially blind chords can be dangerous to kids & pets.

I deff have garland and not tinsle. I never put popcorn on my tree. I would eat it lol! the only mini blinds we have are on the little kitchen window above the sink, the big window in the living room has vertical blinds. Awe poor kitty!
My mom had a type of decoration that had ribbons spiral on her door. Gismo managed to eat some... when it goes down it's like spaghetti; however, it spirals back when inside. Dad found him chocking & saved his life by giving him the Heimlich maneuver. That was a scary episode... you try and think of everything but sometimes they can surprise you. My bugger boo loves eating metallic twist ties. I normally put them away in drawers but I was ill & forgot some. Of course, he found them & ate a few. He was ok but goodness I was worried for a while.
I haven't bought anything in the pawn shop because I thought the prices would be a lot lower than what they are. Most of the items I'd want are 450. And I spent most of my CSC on a gold account medal in the cash shop since mine expired yesterday, then picked up a couple small wearables that were on my wish list. If I want to get anything else I will have to get some more CSC. Thanks for the tip about the mystery box shop. Ugh, I still need another 280 food items for charity to get the achievement. With the new smoke items we get from the bonfire, I wish they would release a smoke pet that matches them. Like the Smolder.
