Oh no... they can get into trouble... especially with elastics, yarn, anything small and long (e.g. Q-tips)... hide your pens otherwise they'll disappear. I knew someone that had a cat that would go and steal her roommate's bras (think straps... mmm). Another had issues with the cat chewing electrical chords.

Gismo is a pro at trying to open doors so I usually have to put kid locks on the cupboards.

Cats are a bit like young kids... they can get into anything. You turn around & they've disappeared until you figure out they managed to Houdini lock themselves into something, they can make messes, they can cause trouble, they can get into trouble... but at the end of the day, you just can't stay mad at them.

You're welcome. As far as freeze + blast versus freeze and blast when frozen, it seems to be totally personal preference. I also prefer a freezer with an attack (some higher tier freezers have them) vs. the Intricate Energized Helmet (which provides freeze protection to give you time to get a parched blessing up) - but other battlers keep recommending the helmet - again just preference (except for a few freeze happy opponents like General Error, where I switch to the helmet). We each have our own battling style and you'll figure out yours as you go. There's usually more than one way to get the job done, depending on your style, your pet and your battle equipment. Have fun in the Battle Coliseum.

By the way, preselection works wonderfully for opponents you already know you can beat, but is not necessarily a good way to beat someone really hard. Then, it's often better to either turn it off, or at least, pause before hitting submit and really think about what your choices are.

Just FYI () for the most part I don't recommend refurbished computers cheap or not, unless you are a hardware type who will be doing your own repairs/part swapping - or have a close friend/family member who will do it for you. There are plenty of nearly as cheap new computers that will have more power, a full warranty and will likely do the job much longer. Especially this time of year when there are all sorts of deals on electronics. The refurbished computer may be cheaper now, but will likely cost more in the long run - including needing to be replaced much sooner.

I can understand why you would prefer audiobooks or movies. For myself, though, I have never liked audiobooks. And I rarely watch anything on a screen any more. But I would be totally lost without my stack of books (usually from the library). I read a LOT - for pleasure, while eating, to get to sleep, to keep myself occupied when I'm waiting, to avoid boredom, ... And I read every single day. But, given your reading disability, I'm very glad that there are alternatives that work better for you.

- depending on the animal, cats often get into more things than dogs - at least after the dogs are no longer teething puppies. For one thing, cats are often found on top of furniture and dogs tend to be more on the floor. :-) On the other hand, my brother's two Irish Wolfhounds don't have to get off the floor to reach anything in the house. Fortunately, they're not interested in any of it. :-)

- go ahead and let the dog sleep in the bed if you want, but only if your husband is also willing to share the bed with a dog. My parents always had the dogs in bed with them. It's strictly up to your personal preference. Various family members have cats who also sleep in bed with their people. Guess, we're just a big animal loving family :-) Of course, if it were up to me, I'd happily go to bed with an entire zoo ... and, of course, my book! LOL

All that is true about cats. Whenever one of mine is missing I start opening closets and cabinets. Also my youngest is banned from my computer room (where I'm now) because she won't stop swiping stuff off my collectible shelves and I kept finding parts from action figures, etc., at the other end of the house. She also loves to steal jewelry. Little klepto kitty. Lots of WL stuff in the pawn shop but not sure I want any of them badly enough to pay the 450 price. And since I have the pie achievement I can now start throwing my pumpkins in to charity. :D

For anyone that has a pet that enjoys warmth (especially cats) Years ago I, Gismo went to the vet & was pretty upset. The only thing that helped calm him down was a heating pad. Ones that you plug in can be dangerous; however, they had a microwaveable one. I bought one a few years ago & highly recommend it.

Oh my, so much chaos over a tyre! You'd think professionals would be good at getting the right thing for the right vehicle, but apparently not. Glad to hear it worked out in the end, but that could have been so much shorter and easier for you!

Family gatherings do take some organising especially when some are travelling quite far. It's nice you've got immediate family fairly local though. Oh yeah, holidays for retail staff are like gold dust over the festive period. Some places here don't allow holidays in December, so it's just when your 'weekend days' fall. Sometimes lucky, sometimes not.

It's always a challenge shopping for lights - I never can guess how many a tree will need so there are either dark bits of glaring bright lights! xD Good luck with that.

That is something I do not understand, the whole buying loads of electricals - even if you don't need them. If there is something I already wanted on sale, great. But I will not force myself to spend, spend, spend on 'ooh it's cheap' items I don't have a use for.

Usually this time of year for Fireside they release Harvest and Reborn pets. Been waiting years to make a Reborn Mahar. Yeah I would buy stuff in the pawn shop if the prices were lower, 450 doesn't seem that great a deal. There are a lot of my WL items in there but few that I would pay that much for.

I could use pumpkins... working on morostide & fireside achievements.

congrats on Tempest. Both types of pets should give you an achievement if you don't already have one of that colour. If you have 1 that's already that colour, I'd recommend making the new colour. Worst case, put the names in a hat & draw... just don't pull out a dust bunny from there ;)

I threw the last few in my inventory into the DC but will pull some out of the vault for you later. On 2nd thought it's faster to just put them in trades than trying to send each one to you. So some in my trades for you now.

Post part II I think it's best to be philisophical about the achievements and just do as much as you can. I think the worst one will be the snowball achievement, that will only be do-able if we get the multi packs of snowballs released again at some point. And will be tough even with that!

Tell you something that's funny, but a sign of the times, usually you'd see folks on the bus reading newspapers, but just this year some of out local buses have added wi-fi and charging points on the buses. Technology everywhere!
But that takes something away, as traditionally, if you finish your newspaper you could leave it for someone else on the bus to take & read.
None of that with devices.

It's a sign of caring that we treat out pixel pets with such respect. I always feel bad if I an offlined and they have been out of the resort for a bit, so I understand what you're saying!

To be completely honest, here in the UK the religion aspect of Xmas is very much optional depending on the individual. It is much more a family orientated holiday perhaps more similar to Thanksgiving in that respect.
After all, between food, decorations, parties and gift giving, folks are welcome to add as much or little belief as they like.
A lot of places over here have also adopted the German-style Xmas markets during December too.
And you're right, the family & friends aspect should be the focus. The important stuff. :)

And at least you get a bit of a winter break to prep for the next year holidays!

Ooh, well done with all those battles! I'm not too sure why it's never appealed to me - maybe I have convinced myself it takes a lot of time and effort and am not sure I want to commit! Really the only battling I have done has been for the plots, where everyone on site has a chance to take a shot or you need to defeat an easy challenger for a plot step.
It's nice to see people battle chatting on the Tank, though, there's always a great community sense and everyone's ready with help & advice.
Much as I love a lot of the loot wearables, I usually just keep haunting the shops looking for decent prices.

Hmm, favourite Subeta bits... lots! I came from a Neopets background, so pet collecting was my first thing, but I really like having a HA and enjoy collecting wearables and making outfits.
Events are a big thing for me - both holiday and plots, where people get together. I like that. With my hoarding nature, Minion/ Gallery collections too. Oh, and the suggestions boards - ideas that can become real! That's fun too.

I found two CWs at a good price that were on my wishlist so I have treated myself to that, 1 wig & 1 dress.

(& ) Appreciate the tips, however, don't worry about me and technology, my other half works in IT (software) and has friends/colleagues in the hardware dept. too. Once I have some funds, I have plenty of folks around to guide me to a good deal!
