- thank you - that's what happens when I just skim battling guide - MrCool Guide to Cursed Effigy when I'm too tired to think properly (sorry - healing IS possible). I'm just used to Cursed Effigy the Tormented from doing Battle Quests. :-) Blocking dark, earth, water and wind aren't nearly as important as blocking fire and magma, but couldn't hurt either.

I understand Bandit loves to steal though. That should be interesting in a lower level challenger. :-)

at T6, (Congratulations!) Pouke can use and against Cursed Effigy. I wound up using the Blunderbuss quite a lot for various challengers. which attacks with 10 water and blocks 10 fire could also work if the Blunderbuss is too expensive. Try using a either instead of or after the Forj Tempered Shield breaks. The breastplate has the potential to block nothing, but is pretty much a staple anyway at T6 and, depending on your weapon budget, after as well. And if you need more healiing, you might try using that Soothing Current scroll as your main scroll (although Divine Denizhen might turn out to work better). Volcanus Fury is wasted since he blocks magma which is it's only attack. Good news is most T6 weapons aren't that expensive. Also, if you don't have one yet, get an for the 25% heal if nothing else. To be honest, the vials and potions you're using probably cost more sP than one or two of these weapon upgrades.

I hope SL comes back up soon. I can't look up cheap food and rreign items to donate/throw in. And I'm waiting for the black friday sale to start (hopefully after midnight tonight) to see if gold accounts will be included as mine expires tomorrow. So far I've gotten mostly hugs from Charity and little else.

I was told that they go around filling empty trees... which sounds like fun. I haven't had luminarie yet so I don't even know what the trees look like or what to do :P

I'm a packrat so I go to the vault, find cheap food & look up more in the shops. Charity I find around 1/5 ratio of items. I donated around 200 & I still need her to spit out lots of things :D

I only vault stuff that I can sell later for more, or books, food for my gourmand pet, etc., so the only food I have in there is stuff to sell/feed. I've already given her a bunch of my pumpkins but want to save the rest for Fantine. When (if) SL ever comes back up I can look up cheap food.

Why not try some of the food shops? Or... like you wrote, they're hoping to get SL up back soon so maybe wait a few days :)

Yes I could visit the food market but it's easier and quicker to just look up cheap stuff on SL. Hopefully it will be back up soon so I will have a week to work on it.

Healing only works against the Cursed Effigy in the Event tab. The Tormented version in the Secret tab (if you have it unlocked) still functions as normal.

Ah darn. That's OK, I was able to do a search for red rreign items and none of them are cheap enough to buy and throw in the bonfire yet anyway. I still need about 400 more items for Charity to get the achievement. Waiting to see what's good to buy in the black friday event. Last 2 years I didn't buy much because I already had/have all the trunks and boutique items I wanted so only bought stuff to stash in my vault and sell later.

I didn't see it come back either. shrugs Oh well. I agree it could be an overload of users
