The pages are actually loading in full now...the last five posts on a board aren't blending into the footer. Thanks for the GA extension.

Thanks so much for the gold account! Sorry you guys have to wade through all the nonsense in these feedback threads. I know there are just as many if not more users who are just happy the problems are being addressed, really appreciate the GA compensation (which to me seems more than fair) and are definitely here because they enjoy Subeta and really want it to continue.

As much as I appreciate the GA compensation quests are pretty much impossible to do right now. 502 and 504 errors on every other page I try to load... Said change doesn't seem to have made much difference, if any, in that regard... :/

I'm sorry if I sound ungrateful but what's the point of giving us 14 days of gold account if the issue hasn't been solved yet?? I keep getting 502 and 504 errors all the time, I can't quest or do anything else on site so I'm leaving un til this is fixed, hopefully you guys will find a solution soon cause I'd hate to miss Morostide =(

i'm really grateful for the GA stuff as well, i've forgotten how convenient having a GA is.

in regards to all the gateway errors: i am still seeing them on some odd occasions, but it mostly seems to be happening post midnight on subeta. on a positive note, the load times have been a lot better ever since the GA notification yesterday and the gateway errors weren't as bad as it was a few days ago. it's definitely a huge relief.

Just want to say that I am definitely still seeing much improvement since the fixes. I am still getting some 5xx errors, but once Subeta recovers things are fast and work well. Also, the errors are not so close together anymore. So thank you to Keith and grelca for tracking down these bugs and working to fix them. Your efforts are much appreciated.

Also want to say thank you for the week of GA account time, which I think is a very generous gift. (And I was glad to see that current GA users got 14 days.) The message in the event shows me that Subeta staff cares about us users. And I don't see that kind of response elsewhere.

Finally, - I completely agree. I want to add my vote for as Communications Officer of Subeta. (We just need to make sure his uniform shirt is NOT red. :-) ) Seriously, Kevin continues to do a much welcomed job of finding things out and keeping us all informed. Thank you.

We have a scheduled downtime on tuesday which will hopefully help. However, there are a lot of things in the works that will be eventually released. New wardrobe is coming and is being throughly tested prior to releasing. It even is functional on different screen sizes. The newest plot was beta tested and the games were for the most part also mobile friendly. The site is moving in the right direction but as we have heard countless times the site is running on old code. Parts of the site are being completely rewritten and tested on various oses, devices, screen sizes and Internet programs. It takes a lot of time but is super smart because they are trying to prevent more issues and not disappoint you guys. Not disagreeing with a lack of communication but to say the site has done nothing is completely wrong.

I'm just curious to know when the fully functional new Wardrobe (the 3rd & current version?), will be up and fully running...

It seemd like the 502's were greatly improved this morning, but they seem to be back. The autopricer seems to be working great though, had no trouble with it today

Radiation is finished! Sorry if I get confused sometimes, I just had brain surgery!

Autopricer worked well for me last night. Restocking this morning has lead to a few errors, happening in multiple shops randomly but it's not bad, definitely less than 1 every 10 minutes while being pretty active.

A more functional wardrobe would be GREAT, espeically with all the Morostide costume contests being held right now. It is so hard to dress up HAs right now without the Wardrobe crashing into the ground.

Errors: Site seems to be loading fine right now, but it was SO error filled yesterday for me.

I would like to echo 's sentiments. I'm grateful and appreciative of the gesture of an additional 14 days on my GA.

That being said, it's been more than 14 days of the site being unusable for me. Every time that I try to play the site, I'm just repeatedly hit with 502 errors, 504 errors, severe lag, or the 1-2-3 punch of all of that. I can get maybe a good half-hour to an hour tops over the course of an entire day... What the hell am I paying for?

Actually, the more I think about it, the added GA time when things are obviously still broken is kind of a slap in the face. It's a gesture that will appease some people with the hopes that we'll just forget that the site has been hellish at best to play over the past month.

If you look, this all started around the 9th of September. To date, that's 37 days of craptasticness. Granted, there were perhaps a handful of days that were playable, so lets round it down to one month of a non-functional Subeta. If a one month GA costs me $5.00 USD, I would like my $5.00 back.

I understand the sentiment of feeling that the site has been hellish but while some users have been very vocal about receiving a ton of errors there have been users who haven't experienced as many errors. I have been fortunate in the sense that I haven't experienced the lag or errors to an unplayable extent, it would be little bursts and very temporary for me. I am not a programmer so I am not sure if they could track really the amount of errors per user to see, but I know it wasn't equal amongst everyone. It could also be just the time you were on during the day in retrospect to players being active making it more bogged down. The 14 days was a nice gesture given to all GA users while 7 days was given to all non-ga users, it applied to all users so there are newbies who didn't even really experience the errors that got something. When the site was first taken down on October 4th, they got more tools to monitor. It seems now that they are getting a better idea of what is going on and are working on it. There was a recode and updates to code as well as servers taken out of rotation due to being stuck on bad code with new ones being put up. So there have been changes and some users who were previously complaining are now noting improvements so it is being worked on. I can't speak to the efficiency of the changes since I didn't get many errors to begin with so it seems the same to me personally but there are some people noticing. My point being that not everyone experienced it the same way, so to get like basically a half month free is nice.

If there was a way to track errors specifically by user then I could see an argument for some to get compensated a little more. However, what I will totally agree with most you on is that yeah there are a lot of places to seek information out from. Some on-site and some off-site but they are not consistent across with some pages seeming forgotten. Yes, I would like to see them more updated and repeating the same information. Especially social media platform wise while still having the occasional specialty post (Art, Behind the Scenes Coding stuff, A dump of old site art, Previews of things to come .etc).

Communication is key and always needs to be worked on to find a happy medium. It can't be cumbersome to both the writers and the audience. What I mean by that is, as a writer I feel as though they should have to repeat the same thing every day in terms of errors. It is obvious they are occurring and they have the tools to show them that. In terms of the audience do you really need to read that daily? Also the really long techy like posts to be perfectly honest a lot of people just don't care about but a little update here and there is necessary and appropriate. Also the audience needs to understand that changes need time to take into effect both for data collection to see if they actually helped or fixed something, but also because as noted the servers need time to sync up. A few months ago I had suggested a changelog be made which still is something I would like but I never realized how many changes were being made on a daily basis. It would be too much to report but also too much to read.

But I get how it seems like a broken record of hearing the same old thing but please please please get that staff is trying. There are a lot of things that being worked on straight from your feedback and being really really intensively worked on and tested. Staff doesn't want to feel like they are disappointing you guys by pushing things you want that won't work for everyone. I understand the negativity, I do as I have felt it plenty of times but there also needs to be encouragement and understanding. They are trying to update the site in pieces that make sense and work with the current but poor infrastructure on site until they can move on to bigger things. You have heard it time and time again that the code is old and or bad but there is also a lot of rewriting and updating of code happening.

Gotta love all these errors making our "please keep playing the broken site" gift pretty hard to actually use...

At least the Status site was finally updated but there's nothing for today and yesterday, when 502/504 errors have still been happening.

I do understand your point, and this is completely personal, so I'm definitely not speaking for all users, but for me: yes, I would like to read that daily. Keith said somewhere recently (too lazy to look it up) that from the programmer's side, everything looked healthy. So the way I understand, is the only way he knew something was wrong, was us users constantly reporting errors here? (Do correct me if I'm wrong!) With everything that has happened, I'm up to a point where I want to be kept informed all the time. Daily if possible, but even once or twice a week would be better. Anything would be better than the silence we've been getting. Are the programmers still aware there's errors today? Are they still aware there's error after the recent "fix"? Are they still working on it, actively, every day? Not waiting a week to "see what happens", while users are experiencing errors every day. I hate that I sound so negative lately. I really do appreciate the extra GA time, but it's hard to enjoy it with the errors. It's been weeks, lots of weeks, that I managed to play for a full hour without errors popping up. That gets discouraging really fast.

Update - We&;ve identified that 2/3 of the webservers running tonight pulled down bad code, and were not able to update themselves after that. They were showing as &quot;healthy&quot; in our administration panel (and in the amazon AWS panel) but were not actually able to process Subeta code.</p>
<p>This is what created a number of 502/504 errors tonight, and possibly over the last few days. We aren&;t able to see when these servers pulled down the bad code.</p>
<p>I&;ve just removed them from the rotation and am setting up two new servers in their place.

That is quoted from the status site. Keith mentioned that yeah from two panels it seemed like everything was ok. They investigated it and as I am not a programmer by any means, assuming, that the new tools they got from the 4th helped them identify the issue that prior they couldn't see. What I do know is that they do look at the data and make changes to see how it affects that data. I am sure with the amount of complaints about errors that programmers were aware they were occurring but they were trying to figure out why. They identified a possible source and addressed it. Again as everyone knows the site is old and wonky so it might just be a culmination of various things (my guess just based on how old code can be), but they are trying to find the issues and fix them. I know you don't like the waiting period of "see what happens" but it is necessary to collect data as to how the site is running at different points of the day or week with different waves of traffic. Not all users are in the same timezone and not all users have similar schedules like (school/work then subeta.etc) so getting that data is important. Then there is also the simple idea of replicating the errors because again, not everyone experienced them at the same rate. There have been times where in the shoutbox people were complaining of lag but I never experienced it and I was on at the same time. Same thing with errors, it varied which is a pain in the ass.

I totally understand the discouragement you feel with errors ruining your playing time, if I experienced the same amount of errors as some users have experienced I would be the exact same way. Like I said I get it and I am for communication. I just can see how posting daily the same message of errors might appease some people but not all and how it could be cumbersome. I like the in-depth updates that we get at times but I agree it should be more frequent. I know that many of you just seek a confirmation that things are being looked into and worked on just more frequently. So again I am still in favor of more frequent communication.

I know that the site's coding won't get fixed magically by snapping your fingers, but indeed, any bit of extra information on the why's and how's and "still looking" or "still working" would make it easier to swallow. And I appreciate your lenghty reply! I'll do my best to stay patient. :)

I'm trying to get wins in before the next reset and Subeta is basically unplayable. Almost every other page is a 502 / 504. So... yeah. Morostide is slated to start literally any day now and Subeta is barely stable enough to use. :/

I hear you and hopefully there will be more communication of simply "Hey! We know and are still monitoring/working on it." As I am sure it would be much appreciated by the user base. I just don't see that ever becoming a daily thing, personally. Hopefully the latest fix though made it more tolerable to play onsite for you though! I am hoping it did apply to most people.

Lol, I just had a batch of errors, followed by a batch of lag, so that's why it took me 8 minutes to reply (and a restart while autopricing). So not better yet, but I'll remain hopeful. :P

We can hope for daily, and if they can end up with once or twice a week, that would be fine too. Because I know if they start out with once or twice a week, they'll keep up for a month, but then forget. And the cycle begins again.
