I want to add that at 3:49 subeta time, the site not only seems to be running good, it's running fast as well. Something that hasn't happened in a while even when things were working fine before.

Good that this dark period has come to an end for now.

Hopefully next time, we really do get more prompt communication, though. Weeks, especially with the recent autopricing glitches, is not that great.

The compensation is nice, I guess, but I really, really hope that staff really learned, this time. Communication is love, communication is life.

@ Tris You really don't understand what happened. Keith had posted something about GA users getting two weeks of GA. I and a few people thought it meant we were already given it, so I posted here. A mod responded quickly and told me to make a ticket, which I did. While we were waiting for another mod- who also responded very quickly and helpfully- another user threw a fit. What was said had nothing to do with the errors and the legit reasons people were posting on the thread, but the way the other user responded to a ticket I had to make over a misunderstanding.

Edited to add: I got the extra week I was supposed to get for having a ga over that time. If anyone else had the same issue with their ga running out today and only getting a week, y'all's should make a ticket.

Honestly, the two of you are the ones seems to be throwing a fit. In my opinion, you seem to be taking this far more seriously than I could ever hope to.

Some clarification: My first post was posted after a staff member said to make a ticket to get your gold account time, which to me sounds and awful lot like some people got reimbursed (those that were posting here on this thread about wanting to be compensated, I assumed) and everyone else had to make a ticket. My reaction was completely fair and on point. No one should have to file a ticket to get that. Now see, if they had made a news post in the first place, I would not have posted anything. This is what this whole thread is about, communication. That isn't happening.

I have no problem apologizing for assuming only certain people were getting time without making a ticket, I'm sorry. I also don't want all staff to think I blame them for the downtime, I don't, the staff here are mostly top notch, the responsibility rests solely on Keith to keep his site up and working.

I'm been on this site for 12 years, I had my first account deleted through no fault of my own, lost shit on this account from rollbacks spent well over 10,000 dollars and have stuck through the site through horrendous downtime lasting literally days/weeks so I think that gives me the right to throw in my two cents every now and again, and to not be told to "calm down" like I was some raving lunatic.

We all have opinions, it doesn't matter whether you like them or not, no one should be going around telling others to calm down. The amount of people who are so easily appeased is astounding. I am not easily won over with a little gold account time and a "we're looking into it" . That's like someone keying your car and then giving you a lollipop to appease you. I don't want to be appeased. I want the site fixed.

Lol, the site went down right as I was about to post this rolls eyes and imagines people screaming CALM DOWN! CALM DOWN! whilst frothing at the mouth.

How are staff supposed to know that something wrong if we don't file tickets? It's not like it's a huge imposition to go ask staff 'Yo, why this happen'. It was being handled calmly and openly, and I was responded to by a staff member who pointed me in the right direction to get an answer. This is a far cry from the silence we've been getting over the past few days. It's silly to fault staff for actually talking to people when we have questions on a thread about the lack of communication.

And please, don't use your time as a way to try and excuse your behavior. I've been here for ten and a half years myself and have also spent more money than I should have on this site.

So 700 people filing tickets all at the same time seems like a good idea to you? This is what this whole thread is about, communication. None of this would be going on if staff were keeping us informed, by making a news post saying what they had done and that we ALL were going to be reimbursed.

There was no staff responding to anything, there was a minimod that responded to you after you posted asking a question. No member of staff came and posted anything. We shouldn't have to ask what is going on, informing the ENTIRE userbase should be one of the first things done, not just posting a little post where 99% of users aren't going to see it.
They're damn lucky they have us especially those of us willing to tell them that they're are doing a shitty job, they're never going to learn to take responsibility for this crap if everyone is fawning all over them telling them what great job they're doing, news flash it not a great job, it's a half assed job.

700 people likely didn't file tickets. I filed one, and within 20 minutes, there was a notification at the top of the page informing people of what was going on.

Templar Keith didn't post anything about gold accounts until after all of this was going on. He responded to one person about getting a notification, not that everyone was going to get a notification, only that one person. Edit: to clarify what I meant: That the people who got reimbursed were going to get a notification not just one person.

And exactly how many people do you think were in my position? So far, no one else has posted about a similar issue. You'd have to have 700 people whose GAs ran out between 12am-3pm in order to have your exaggerated number of people sending in tickets. He can't respond to people who don't ask him questions. Staff won't know about an issue like this unless you bring it up with them. This isn't a site-wide issue like the 502s/504s.

What are you talking about? I'm not talking about you and your position, I'm talking about the people who got an event stating that they have received 14 days of gold account time. The first posts were made by Ciannwn and Paddy. The only reason I responded to you was because you tried to tell me to calm down. This isn't about you, it's about gold accounts holders and staff communication.

Just to clarify, Some people got gold account time added and Keith responded to them telling them they'd get another notification about it, not that everyone was getting a notification and I assumed only those that were posting about lost gold time were being compensated. I then saw Kbbobs post (to you) about filing a ticket to get your gold account time extended. So yes I jumped the gun and I apologized earlier in a previous post about it.

That doesn't change the fact that there was no site wide communication posted, so no staff are not actually listening to us and I would bet my house that we will be in this same position in the future, I would like to be hopeful that maybe this time, after 12 years, things will be different but I'm not going to hold my breath.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. Mistakes were made, but what's important is learning from mistakes and using this knowledge to improve. And, this really needs to be taken seriously by staff, because there were a lot of upset users this time around. I don't know how many users would be willing to stick around next time something like this happens.

I'm thankful for the GA, but what I really am thankful for is the message in the event. This shows that the problems are being worked on. And, the site has been running a lot smoother, so there's definitely progress being made.

Communication and progress are what needs to continue to happen. If I see this happening, Subeta will have my support.

Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks, we're still working to resolve the issues but we've given you 14 days of additional Gold Account time! The autopricer issue should be resolved, as well.

Thank you for this. Hopefully Morostide will run smoothly. Even with all the ups and downs, I'll stick by you guys. Thanks!

I came here to see what everyone was saying and echo the sentiments of "thanks for the GA but please actually learn from this".

I got an indefinite white page not loading until suddenly on a refresh it said "Made it here?" in plain text. So I'm glad to know I'll really be able to get the most out of this GA :/
