Sorry to deter a little bit, but was the extra GA mentioned in an event that you had to click away? Since I didn't see an event, and can't remember how much time I had left on mine.

Yeah I'll see what I can find out. I know in the past it's been mentioned in the news. I was thinking of an announcement thread maybe. If nothing else I'll ping tinyupdate again and hope people tell their friends :)

To be honest, only giving "certain" people an event and extra gold account time is bullshit. No one should have to make a ticket and ask. This is some of the crap that people are sick of, suck it up make a news post and apologize and then give everyone who had/has a gold account an extension.

@ Aloysius Woah dude, chill. AFAIK, my GA probably ran out just before Keith started giving out the GA time. Filing a ticket is way less hassle than you think it is.

It looks like it hasn't gone out yet, despite the fact that what Keith said made it look like it already had. This was a miscommunication and not an error.

so...my husband got the extension alert...but I didnt? and when we looked at the gold accounts they are roughly the same time...so we are guessing we got it but cant be sure rubs head Im hoping things will be better though..I miss subeta.

s2g, with the effort you put into keeping people informed about these things and details that fall through the cracks, it's really starting to feel like staff should give you permission to post in the announcements forum and ping the # siteupdate group. :X

It was a miscommunication/miswording. The GA time hasn't been given out yet. This is why you ask staff before you get mad.

So it's being worked on right now and you should get the event when it is fixed even though yours expired :)

There is now a blue message up top to let people know about it too. Nothing afaik had been applied yet ( too since this should answer your question and too, you'll both get an alert once it is fixed and the time goes out for real)

Which is the fault of staff, for not making a news post updating people.

Also who says I'm mad? I'm annoyed and by the looks of it so are many others. It's nice though that you would assume how someone is feeling and then take the time to post it.

Just posting to say I appreciate the information on the Status site and the GA event C: TY guys.

Status site and GA message We've identified that 2/3 of the webservers running tonight pulled down bad code, and were not able to update themselves after that. They were showing as "healthy" in our administration panel (and in the amazon AWS panel) but were not actually able to process Subeta code.

This is what created a number of 502/504 errors tonight, and possibly over the last few days. We aren't able to see when these servers pulled down the bad code.

I've just removed them from the rotation and am setting up two new servers in their place.

Thank you for your patience over the last few weeks, we're still working to resolve the issues but we've given you 14 days of additional Gold Account time! The autopricer issue should be resolved, as well.

Wow, thanks! ^_^ And thank you for the update about what exactly is being worked on atm.

And guys, it'll take awhile for the script to run and get through all the accounts - it doesn't send to everyone at once.

Well if you had calmed down for about 5 minutes, you would've seen that there's now a blue alert banner explaining and alerting. But no, you had to insult other users and the staff all in one fell-swoop. Thanks for your oh-so-thoughtful contribution to this discussion.

From the posts just one page earlier, it seemed there was a glitch in the first wave of GA awarding, so they were quick fixing, and then sending out again. Something tells me that staff wouldn't want to completely screw over part of the userbase by not giving some people the GA compensation.

Jeez. And we wonder why staff don't want to respond to us...

Thanks for the extra GA time. It's really appreciated.

This is the type of information I appreciate, so thank you for that, even though I'm still getting errors.

I know I've asked, and I think a few other people have asked, but do you know what the difference (problem?) is between this time last year, and now? As in, why are all these errors coming non-stop when we've had such smooth sailing for the better part of a year?

Also, to the people saying we shouldn't be bitching: How about no?

Do you just sit at home and wait when your power/cable/internet/water/etc isn't working correctly, or do you make a phone call to find out what the hell is happening? This is that phone call. I don't care if this thread ends up being 500 pages of people stating their disappointment in the site, it needs to be said. Period. Communication is the key to everything.

Was this supposed to just go out to GA users, because I got the notification for it and I haven't had a GA in months?? I don't think I was given GA time tho, so I think it was a mistake?
