Most of the time people are pretty good in comp (at least in bronze) but there's always the occasional asshole. Report them. The stupid thing is that the ones yelling generally are NOT the good players. Can't blame anyone for not being able to take that; once or twice they've managed to bring me to tears.

Total Mayhem is wonderful fun. Can take forever though because nobody runs out of anything.

Just had a comp match as Mercy in which I got seventeen eliminations and bronze. There were a couple of idiots on the other team who couldn't deal with a healer being able to headshot them.

It's not even necessarily the competitiveness that I'm scared of (because tbh I'm usually secretly being a tryhard myself, lmao), it's just that my skills are...really inconsistent? Like I'll carry my entire team in one game, and then in the next I can't even play my main properly. And I feel like that would not be a good quality in a competitive teammate, lol.

Also I have more fun playing heroes who aren't Competitively Acceptable anyway. NO JUNKRAT NO DEAL.

F*ck competitively acceptable anyway. Unless you're in diamond or above, individual skill and practice makes infinitely more difference than whether you play the favored hero or not.

A well played Junkrat can do oodles of damage and really mess up the enemy.

You're probably right, but I'm also a chicken and would rather avoid having to defend myself (especially because I don't keep up on The Meta all that much in the first place). So I usually just stick to Lucio on the rare occasion I play comp.

Haha, competitive can be awesome if you're comfortable with the character you're playing and manage to have fun! The biggest laughs I had with teammates have been in competitive, but unfortunately I'm seeing more toxicity these days, or maybe it's just more common in Platinum/Diamond/Master.

Also, it's unfortunate but higher ranked players tend to yell at the lower rank ones even if they may be doing a good job. Sometimes competitive matchmaking goes crazy, once I got teamed up with two Grandmasters and they were yelling at me, telling me to change and calling me a troll, which made me feel so bad, but luckily there was one person who was on my side and defended my position saying "Why? She's good." I swear I cried at that. ;v; The best thing to do with those people is to mute toxic players, report them and ignore the chat going crazy.

Oh, it also helps if you have friends to go with you in competitive. ^^ And remember, even if it's competitive don't let it get so serious that it feels like you're having a worse time than without actually playing it.

Are you all excited for the double xp this weekend? Idk how everyone's luck has been with the loot boxes, but I've yet to get A SINGLE SKIN, so I'm really happy about this double xp stuff.

I just got my first one and it is Bastion, who I have literally only played when I've done that mystery roulette arcade game. To add insult to injury, that same loot box gave me a D.va skin, just, you know, not that D.va skin.

And the double XP weekend would be great if I had any free time this weekend! D: Gotta find some free moments to get in my last few boxes before I start dropping money.

Am I the only one who feels like the jazzy Lucio skin makes me want to wash my eyes out with soap? I was so excited for a new legendary skin and then.....oh jeez haha

lol, I see a lot of people expressing that opinion, but I personally love the Jazzy skin? It's just so...inexplicable that I have to (and I like the music it plays when you use the speed boost).

I feel like they may have fiddled with the drop rates in the last few days, since I've been unboxing way fewer duplicates and way more skins and dance emotes? Hopefully my luck will wear off on everybody else for the end of the event o:

I love the new Lucio skin and I was stuck with the Ribbit skin for AGES since it was one of my first legendaries! XD Not that I'm complaining since it was the skin I liked the most for Lucio until recently, but with the Jazz one, I just love his style and the different music you hear ingame is freaking amazing!

I love the jazz skin so much; I like playing Lucio but I need a good skin to motivate me because I am a Fake Gamer who cares about pretty costumes and all I've got for him is that teal winter one and some recolor.

Right? I miss having TF2's level of customization (three cosmetic slots, usually a hat + a clothing item + an accessory, plus you could paint them different colours, for those who never played it). I was fashionable as hell in that game, to the point where people used to take time out of playing to compliment me, lol.

Like trading, it's one of those things I desperately hope Blizzard decides to steal from Valve at some point.

I was really hyped for the double XP weekend but then suddenly my Saturday went from being completely open to rather busy. And I'm busy part of Sunday as well. What rotten luck but I'll still try to squeeze it in here and there. Hopefully that will really help with the loot boxes as well.

I bought 11 new loot boxes yesterday and didn't get a single anniversary skin laaaame. I'm so close to being rank 100 (about time I know. I believe I'm 98) so that double xp will help put me over the edge.

The creators actively admitted there's "dead zones" with controllers so chances are, there's gonna be a patch to fix that so whenever I aim at someone, I'm actually aiming at them instead of getting a minute amount of lag after I fire an arrow at them.
