I do have to say the drop rate on the new skins is awful. Hallowe'en last year the drop rate of legendaries was definitely increased for the event but I've probably opened 30-40 lootboxes and gotten two legendaries, D.Va's (wanted) and Zarya's (not).

The drop rate is pretty brutal, not to mention that the RNG for what you get is awful. I've opened ~thirty or forty myself, and I got D.Va's skin FOUR TIMES without seeing any others until my most recent box deigned to give me Mei's new one.

They really need to look in to tweaking it; I know they're trying to get us to spend money on extra boxes, but I feel like if everyone's getting such bad luck anyway people might just decide not to bother.

Yep. You want the players to feel gratification for spending money on the game and the current drop rate ruins that.

The Anniversary event is everything I hoped it would be. I do wish they'd do something about the loot boxes/ridiculously low amount of currency for duplicates, though.

I've opened about 30 lootboxes and I've only gotten ONE new legendary and like 3 emotes. The amount of duplicates is terrible considering they barely give me any money in the first place. :/

I got probably 8 legendaries in 60 boxes, but 3 were duplicates. And you only get 200 credits for duplicated LEGENDARIES. :(

Right? I've gotten three duplicate legendaries and that's not even enough credits for a single dance emote? I call shenanigans.

I bought like, 20ish boxes for the lolz. Event-specific, I got Symmetra's and Lucio's skins which is pretty cool. (I really wanted Lucio's so that's a plus!) I think I received a couple legendary skins but...I don't really remember lol. I also got 4ish dance emotes, though a couple of those came from boxes that I received from ranking up. I still need Zenyatta's emote, lol.

The amount of currency you receive for duplicates is really low, though. I even think you should receive more if you receive a legendary loot drop. Everything is just so expensive xD

Yea, every skin i've gotten from the anniversary loot boxes are just normal legendary skins I would have gotten on any other day.

But I've gotten like, five dance emotes and that makes me really happy :)

I'm at 15 boxes, zero anniversary skins, 1 dance emote (Soldier, who I never use). Approx. 8,000 sprays and icons. I'm going to start spending money and I'm not feeling too good about my chances. :/

I feel like a fool, I bought the new symmetra skin off the bat (no regrets about that, it's gorgeous), but then got 24 loot boxes and the only legendaries were genji's sentai (heck ya tho) and 4 repeats of the symmetra skin 😅

Mercy is my by a long, long way, D.Va . Zen's alright I just can't stand his inability to move quickly.

Finished my placements this morning. How on earth do I win half my placement matches and get rated <500?

That 3v3 arcade thing for the event has forced me to branch out from my comfort zone of D.Va & Mei (I also occasionally play Mercy in regular matches but when there's only 3 of us I am not that confident) and pick up Orisa, and while I occasionally even manage to get on the right side of my shield, I still haven't had the sweet sweet victory of using her pull cannon to knock someone off the field.

Ahhh I got Mei's beekeeper skin in a loot box! I literally have never unlocked any of Mei's skins and have been rocking her original skin so it's nice to have a change for her. I get unlucky with her.

I am still really hopeful for Zenyatta's dance emote. I have enough currency to purchase it but I'm holding off to be on the safe side, because it would be my luck to buy it but then receive it in a box later on lol. I also really want Genji's new skin but I can't afford to buy it. If I can get those two items then I will be so happy.

Btw I love the new 3v3 lockout arcade game type. I mainly like it for when the other team wins. I love it when they win with Roadhog and can't use him anymore (I'm sorry I hate playing against Roadhog lol). Plus it's making me branch out from the characters I'm comfortable with. I want to add to my list of characters.

I did my comp placement matches last night.

Not only did the last three games lag like a bitch but despite having six wins, playing support for all and CARRYING, I placed silver. I've seen people do the same thing with the same stats and they've placed gold or higher. I'm so aggravated.

Loot box update: my last one had 2 event items and they were a Mei voice line and... the same Mei voice line. Still have not seen a single skin :/

I feel this deeply. Fighting Roadhog is exhausting. And yeah, hah, if someone I'm playing with grabs one of my 3 go-tos it's like here we go, who else am I going to learn to play now...

(Also congrats on the Mei skin; she's my second-most-played and I still have yet to get a single skin for her, and the bee one is so cute!)

Yesterday I unboxed the new Lucio skin and the Zarya dance emote. Oh my god, I was so happy, lol. Hopefully we'll all get some good loot for the last stretch of the event!

I also played a game where I was keeping a close eye on our Mercy (as I always do when I'm not the healer myself), but they were so surprised that I was actually helping them that it just made me sad that they had played so many games where people didn't??? like now I just want to protect that Mercy main forever lmao
