(sometimes if you can't defeat an internet troll on your own by using certain methods you're supposed to report them to staff/mods according to the research I was doing last night when I was trying to figure out how to beat him lol)

@ Poet @ kbbob Sorry, guys... I know you're probably being bombarded with questions, but when you get a chance: Did either of you happen to use a shield/defence item along with your triumphant weapon?

I used another gold weapon because it happened to be nearby, but then I decided to test the Goldbrand alone and it worked alone.

I'm fairly sure it's just random, and not user-specific. I tried the Goldbrand earlier today and I couldn't defeat him. It was only later on that the Goldbrand worked, so I think it just changes every time someone finds the weapon and kills him.

Meh. I'm all for a challenge and if there is some kind of pattern to the riddle then great, it will be figured out eventually! But having the weapon be different for every single user...I really can't be bothered to rack up 100s of losses trying to get the right combo, this seriously sucks. I get it. I do. TROLOLOLOLOL. But whatever, I will just buy the loot items I want, I mean it's not even like the exp reward is worth it :k

I just keep going back to 'staff' because I was teasing Amber about that part last night in the SB. I was reading all this stuff about how to defeat trolls. And internet trolls kept coming up. So I asked her if I should file a ticket or report the Troll to staff to defeat him for me and she made :P face and didn't say anything else. WHICH IS SNEAKY FOR HER.

I tried a bunch last night, but now I'm wondering if it might be the Blackmoon's Staff since Amber and Cranberry mentioned you in the news comments, and you're always wearing it. Maybe you have to 'unlock' it for everyone XD

Nah I used some anyu knuckles. I really think it's just a random restockable weapon and we're all kinda screwed until we find the right one x) They mentioned me in the comments because I always ask for harder challengers (this is not what I meant though)

I'd try it if no one else had any wins but people are slowly finding the right things, I just happened to luck out and find my weapon right away once I started trying with restockable weapons.

That would have been much better. Sun and lightning weapons could have been used, different sets for different users maybe ? Something. But as of right now, it's a rather huge list to be going through with nothing.

Yeah it doesn't really seem staff thought about it as much as they could have. Or they really need to speak up on narrowing things down more... Seeing as they've literally said nothing to help. Nothing aside from Cranberry saying someone won, and Purge finding the theories entertaining. Very helpful. Way to discourage hoarding.

the Magic Ontra Wand is a tier 3 weapon but if i put it in my inventory and try to move it to the armory i cannot because the only options i have is use it on ........pet name

no armory use ??? okay now i am finished with all tier one tier two and tier 3 weapons onto the others :)

I still want to believe in any connection between pet / weapon / time ... etc ...

The worst part of it is, if it truly is random AND changing, then you could go through all the weapons without it ever working, if someone happens to get the right one before you test it, which seems rather likely. I'm really hoping there's some sort of pattern to this but it doesn't seem it... It doesn't seem to be related to mythological or common day trolls...

I kinda think there may be a pattern, because Purge and Cranberry were able to beat Troll. I can't imagine them testing 600+ weapons like the rest of us poor sods are doing so I feel like there is some kind of hint we are missing.
