Maintenance FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY fixed the fridge today. They had to remove, apply an adhesive and reattach the rubber seal around both the fridge and freezer doors. No more leaky cold air!

Unfortunately they are STILL telling us there is no leak in our wall. The wall is not wet, it just wasn't primed in that spot and the guy came back, primed and painted the wall for a third time. bangs head on wall Its fun to watch them speak to me like I'm an idiot because I'm female. And think that I believe them. Both Hubby and I called BS and he is getting his Moisture Meter out of the work van tonight to see exactly HOW BAD the water is inside the wall.

That's wonderful that the fridge is fixed! Maybe if it's not a "huge issue" maybe hubby can fix it and let the maint. think they did?

Unfortunately with the leak in the wall, it's a big repair that wouldn't go unnoticed. He would have to cut into the drywall and then find where the leak was coming from pipe-wise to stop it. Then replace/repair/paint it all. It shouldn't have to come out of our pocket to fix what they can't do correctly/at all. That's why we pay premium prices to live in this community. It is on their shoulders and their bank account. They just don't want to.

Looking forward to my birthday this month as I'm doing a big DC drop. It'll be eventually half a billion worth of items in there. I'm not saying when it is cuz I normally do the gift-giving that day lol Just keep an eye out between the 20th-29th of this month around 11am Subeta time. The day you see a ton of items in there from me...ahem It feels like a really long time away yet though it's really not. I hate waiting! XD

Anyway, I should be volunteering today but it's not going to happen. I've left it too late. I've barely done anything at the SPCA this week and I feel guilty. I'm going to call and find out how I can get in during the weekend so that I can help out then, too. I've never gone on the weekend but I'm sure the animals need care during that time as well.

I'm popping off here soon to get back to work (which is painfully slow as it's soooo boring) on my correspondence schooling, but thought I'd pop in and say hello.

That stinks the tablet conked out on you. I would bring my charger to the office and plug it into the outlet under my desk to ensure that never happened. Is that an option for you? I'm sorry it's boring hugs I hope you find a way to make it interesting for yourself.

(((BIG HUGS))) Definitely too big. We also have a neurotic ULTRA noise sensitive neighbor who would be pounding on the walls (or our door) daily. He's already hassled our upstairs neighbors for 'chopping vegetables' at gasp 6pm!! LOL It's dinner time!

The poor guy was so flustered he came down to our door to see if he was disturbing us too! We only heard the guy next door wailing on his ceiling with a broomstick, then pounding up the stairs and THEN on their door to YELL at them.

I'm mature about it and bite my tongue. I just remind them I'm not an idiot by speaking 'their language' by using terms I've picked up over the past 16 years listening to my husband speak about the business. ;)

Exactly. Or flood the apartment. Much bigger expenses than fixing it. Oh well. We will keep an eye on it.

The map pieces can be found as a random event while wandering around the site. They are also for sale in shops/trades/auctions. Most times people are willing to haggle on the forums or trades. Sometimes shop owners too. I know they can get pricey. Good luck completing it! :D

We leave the 24th for New York. I believe we will be returning the 30th. Our return date is still up in the air. I'd be more excited if we were staying at a hotel. Love my in-laws, but the house is super crowded and I am a person who needs my space and time to decompress at night. Guess that means I'll be using my crocheting as a means to mentally escape. ;)

hahaha lool yes i am! My cat is picked up tomorrow to stay at my parents and i need to pack.. but got most stuff ready layed out.

I just caught up on the posts I've missed over the past few days. My oldest cat, who was 18, was put down on Tuesday and it knocked me off-balance for a bit, but I'm back. I know he had a very long life, but I wish it had been a bit longer, you know? Until last weekend I really thought he'd make it to 20. It's a hard adjustment, since he's been a constant companion and fixture in our lives since I was in 5th grade!

's daily signatures have all been beautiful, and I loved the examples of latte art that posted earlier. I'd never heard of it before, but am, as always, constantly being impressed by human ingenuity :)

I'm so, so sorry that your cat had to be put down . I know how much you loved him. It is an extremely hard adjustment to make when you lose a pet and especially as long as you had that kitty.

I'm sorry bout your cat. I'm still adjusting to losing mine at 15 years. I totally hear ya. Mine was perfectly fine one month, dying of kidney failure the next, and passed on after 6 weeks of fighting it. It just happens so fast.
