Just wanted to drop by and say hello, been running around like crazy. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.

Just picked up my vacation papers, leaving for London on monday. I have to be ready to be picked up at 7 am.....

Good morning everyone! Another day of rest and relaxation here. This time with the laptop and charger. :D I'll be around most of the day on and off. The only thing on my agenda today is Laundry, but my oldest is helping with that because I still can't bend or lift anything.

Thanks, slowly on the mend. The apartment we began renting in February had JUST been completely renovated and all new appliances were installed. When my husband was shown the place, the plastic and stickers were still on them. Brand new. If there is a warranty - which I assume these apartment communities would get them - it would be on the property managers to handle that. Not us personally. Needless to say they never showed up for repairs yesterday. We are a call first apartment because of the dogs, so hopefully sometime today.

Yarn, I hope that your back will be better soon! Is there any chance that your back will heal completely one day? It seems it troubles you a lot?

The sky gets dark again, the next thunderstorm is on it's way. I just wish it cooled off quicker! It is again over 34 degrees Celsius, way too hot to my liking.

Thanks :) I'm going to say no to being cured - been dealing with it since I was 12 - but it's definitely not as often as all that. My last HUGE flare up was over 2 years ago, and before that more than 10. This one is because I was stubborn and pushed myself. I have issues with asking for help. I've been put in my place good this time.... work in progress. ;)

I know right? The rubber seals are falling off the edges of the doors of both the freezer and fridge part, so it's leaking cold air, not shutting fully at all, and it's cranking up our electric bill something fierce. This is not the first call we've put in about it. It's been this way since we moved in. They aren't the most helpful team here. We have to constantly badger them about getting things done.

Wow that sucks. It's a shame you can't hire your own team to take care of it, and pick one you like, so you don't get another sucky one.

Funny you should say that... my husband owns/operates his own home improvement company.... he would run circles around these people. But THEY have to handle on-site issues.

Stupid apartment rules :/ If you want to replace something broken on your own, as long as it follows the guidelines, should be fine~ would save them money in labor >.>

My husband could do most of the work himself and it wouldn't be broken again in a week. But they earn 'per ticket' so that's why they do shoddy work.

It's a temporary living arrangement till the end of next school year anyhow. Hopefully by then we will be able to get into the home buyer program here. We are rebuilding our credit after hitting a rough patch a couple years ago. We are counting the days!

Sure hope your apartment manager shows up to help you with the refrigerator . It's got to be such a frustrating situation when your husband is qualified to fix it himeself.I'm glad your daughter is being a big help to you and I pray your back is healed really soon. I know what you mean about hating to ask for help. I think a lot of us are like that. We need to realize people really do like to help and it makes them feel good to do it. Big (((Hugs)) for !

Thanks! I never been to london myself, it's been on my bucket list for ages! leaving this monday the 13th. Going to London with a group trip so not alone... I am going for 5 days and each day is filled with stuff to do. Just picked up english money.. looks weird.. haha

Hanging around the house again. Nothing pressing happening. Still not comfortable enough to drive. One more day hubby said, then I can try it out. I'm beginning to get Cabin Fever. Thankfully I have some projects for my shop to get finished so I'm not going completely bonkers. Been trying to get back into questing here - main source of income on the site - but it's just feeling like a chore. Maybe I'll try during ice therapy to do more than Shinwa's today.

Yarn,I Hope your feeling better soon & they get your apartment fixed right.We live in an apartment & our kitchen floor is a thin layer of concrete & it has big chucks out of it from crumbling,under that are the water pipes,been like that since we've lived here too.3 years now still haven't fixed it.One day the pipes are going to break & the people below us are going to get really wet =( I hope not but we've told them over & over again.We put a rug over the holes so it didn't hurt are feet. Really like it here though.
