Maybe a store with a set up similar to the Millionaire Center? It could act as a sP sink still, and you would be able to purchase the items. I don't know how feasible it would be, but if it's really needed to keep the "instant-to-collections" thing, maybe there could be a "discounted" section?

Then you could get something slightly cheaper if it's instantly going to be added to something (since you can't remove them once you've used those items), and then have the items be slightly higher (10-25% maybe?) if you want the actual item and the freedom to chose what you want to exactly do with it.

Probably a somewhat crappy comparison, but the best thing I can think of at 1AM is video games |D; Hard copies are usually more expensive, in part because you actually have to manufacturer the item, but also because that game can then be traded, sold, or whatever and doesn't bring the company extra revenue. However, digital downloads - which obviously can't be used and then traded around - are typically cheaper.

I loved that, but there was atleast one beanbag that wasn't brought back (Baked Sweet Potato Beanbag). I think Golden Candybuttons Beanbag and Brown Bodybag Beanbag weren't too, but I'm less certain about those.

Why not limit some of the items the same way? Like clothing can go to the wardrobe and all that. For minions I'd give them the option of putting it into the Minion Zoo or have it placed in the inventory to be put into a gallery/given to a pet (could have it also be sent to the active pets minion slot). Maybe make them unsellable/tradeable and only one per person? Same could be applied to weapons that are also clothing. They can either go to wardrobe and/or weaponry (I'd say allow two of these per person due to some wanting it as a clothing item and weapon).

Stickers could be done in a way so once bought you have the option of sending it to another player immediately. Idk how many have galleries for stickers so Idk how to handle stickers overly well.

On a side note this does give me a interesting idea on how to handle some of the flooded items on the site....

since we will be paying millions of sp per item, can this tally be added to the mc spending achievements?

The problem is I don't think they have enough time or resources to do that kind of drastic changes. The new wardrobe is still in beta, and still has a few glitches here and there, so it's kinda impossible to have something like that for TC.

This isn't a part of the Millionaire Center, so no.

I'd love to see a new couple of quests...after you complete certain tiers for each quest, you get a clothing item as a reward? There'd be unlimited tiers until all clothing is obtained. One of the Islanders and maybe Babette could be the quest givers.

This could also hold true for the non-wearables, too. I agree with ...i don't think I care for the instant deposit. Unless you can buy more than one and the extras head to the inventory

Most of the retired things I want are for pet treasures, my gallery, or clothing to wear - perhaps we can purchase the items and they can be non-transferable items. That would be the best way to stop deflation of the items.

Just brainstorming here. What about a global treasure chest, in which you can add items but can't take them out, and from there you can assign them to your pets. Say I wanted a Blob Kitty in my pet's TC. I add the item to my global chest, and assign it to the pet. But wait, I changed my mind. I can take it out of my pet's TC, but I can't take it out of my global chest.

@blackwolf_2009 If we find a way it would definitely need to be limited. We're trying to find a way to balance keeping the items still special and rare, but not completely unobtainable. Just having them in a token shop kind of way doesn't seem super fair because it would be so limited, but open market (even with a timer) in the MC could completely deflate them.

From what I understand the locked item feature really isn't feasible for most of the site. I think it's possibly something that could work for the wardrobe (a la unlocked hair), but don't quote me on that, just quote Keith like you did :P

I can't say I'm happy about this. Yes it would be great to have a chance to get my hands on some of the items I wasn't able to participate in events for most of the items from those shops I'm interested in I want for things like pet treasures. (including things that have on site collections, stickers, books plushies/beanbags etc) I'd be fine paying like double the price to have access to have complete control over where the items go, but I really don't like the idea of having the item's uses decided for me.

Honestly, and this is coming from someone who made over 10K points in the pirate/islander event, most of these items need to be deflated.

I get that staff don't want to deflate them too much, but you deflated the teal and white whiskey bags to 1/100 of their worth anyway so yeah.

Oh! I didn't even think about that. e.e

Mostly I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see if it sticks in a futile attempt to help. I'll be the first to admit I have no clue what's feasible and what's out of the scope of resources available.

(I do know I'll be really sad to see that shark minion go, for example.

[item2=Brarko]

There aren't ANY up for sale, and I wouldn't begin to know what kind of sP to earn/to offer to snag one before the shop goes down. I didn't even realise it came from that shop until this news post.)

-lol- Idk I mean you guys do that with the anniversary awards I thought maybe it could work the same way somehow. It's kinda the same thing just this time you'd be paying for it.

However I am happy they are being put into a shop. I have never been good at RS wars or things like that and I didn't get many points during the Islander/Pirates plot so this gives me a nice little way of getting most things. :D

Yeah, something like that sounds great in theory! I'm just not sure how complex the coding would be. Hmmm.

I was excited to see this until I saw that it forced the items to be used. I do not want to resell old items - I love collecting items for my pets' TCs and this simply wouldn't allow for that. I think instead of forcing them into the collections... is it possible to anchor items to an account? As in, they are only kept to that account and cannot be put in shops, traded, etc.

I'm not sure on the coding for something like that and it might make it so that item entirely can't be put for sale in user shops, but once its available for purchase elsewhere it may be a moot point anyway? Just my thoughts on that. I would love, love, love to see some items from various events come back (such as Epicon and Reading Drive, since I was not here for those and some of the items are impossible to get, not just expensive).

I am not huge into the collections and am more so interested in collecting items for my pets' TCs (and my wardrobe, so wearables returning would also be awesome!)

I think anchoring the items to accounts would be a good way to allow people to buy them and use them however they wanted, within their account. And it would allow us to buy multiple of it (for items we need in several TCs or items that are good for TC + wearable or + collection). Anyway, I really hope the item returns will not be limited to a strict using it for collection purposes as that wouldn't bring them back in the way I, and I'm sure many others, would like to use them. I do love that Subeta is trying to bring back old items, though!

Well, if a straight up MC setup wouldn't work, would a "hybrid" system between the MC center-style shop and the Hustler be more feasible? Maybe the "instant" items (stuff that is automatically added to a collection) can always be there, but the normal items could be on rotation (sort of like what the MC does seasonally/the Hustler does weekly)? Maybe there could be a timer for a few hours or something, and the stock changes weekly or something?

OIC. That&;s an interesting thing (from the brief glance at the thread linked). It has merit and possibilities.</p>
<p>If they revamped some things--say the pet TCs--to act like a wardrobe, and you purchase an item that way to be placed in there and &quot;locked&quot; so that you can&;t take it out to sell later but you can rearrange and assign to your heart&;s content just like how the existing wardrobe has a place to stash items in...

You said it wasn't really feasible, then went and suggested it anyway, lol.
