Sounds good. I should have a draft for you around Thursday or Friday at the latest. It's always very helpful to have an outline going in because I can jump right into turning the ideas into a story. One small question I have is whether you have a preference on 1st or 3rd point of view. I'm guessing 3rd would be best based on the existing details but I always like to ask.

I really like it so far c: Here are a few changes I'd like to see if possible:

• maybe have Miko telling her to grow up like 'Look, I care about you but you should really grow up' and her being really offended and screaming at him until he leaves
• bigger shock, more crying about the burden
• showing a bit more that she's a bit bored staying with the healer all the time
• make Yala less sick/ or less obvious so that Skan doesn't have to feel too guilty when leaving
• bigger fight/conflict between Yala and Skan or at least Skan getting angrier before she leaves

'If she was absent, Yala could not die' This sentence doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me, why couldn't she die then?

An updated draft for Skan. I think I got all the requested changes but just let me know if there are any more you would like.

Hi! Before I go and post a form I just wanted to ask if it's okay that I also send you my rough draft to work with. I feel like that would explain what I want better. :)

I like coming up with stories for my pets, but they always end up becoming blotches of random ideas that I don't know how to put together, hahaa...

You can use as much of my rough draft or as little as you like. I just wanted to give you a better idea of my character in addition to the questions from the form.

If you have a story that you want expanded/revised, I'll be happy to work from an existing draft. If you wanted to link to the existing story in the "Anything Else" section, that would be perfect.

Oh okay, gotcha! Here's my form:

Pet Name: Aiyu (although the story is written in Kagi's PoV)

Setting: Depending if you want to focus on her childhood or on the time she spends with her bunny, it'll either be in a quiet neighborhood or in a wooden shed by a river in the forest. (respectively)

Personality: Kagi is carefree, quiet, and kind of dorky. Aiyu is bubbly and super friendly.

Other characters to include: Despite the fact that my pet is Aiyu and her minion is Kagi. The story is about Kagi and her meeting Aiyu.

Preferred Length: I actually want to leave this up to you. I originally figured with what you have to work with, a simple character sketch/500 word story would probably be enough, but if you find that there's actually more you can come up with then feel free to expand on the story!

Anything else?: The story is meant to be a light and easy to read sort of story about a girl who finds a magical river.

Just to clarify certain things. In my story, Aiyu is a sweater that gets magically turns into a bunny. Also "Aiyu" is actually an existing food. In case you're interested in knowing more about the food, you can scroll down to 'origin' [here].

Here is the first draft for Aiyu. I decided to write both parts of the story. I'm actually close to 1,000 words with this draft. (It's more like two character sketches in one). I felt it was important to have the part about Kagi's allergy and also how Aiyu came into being but I will be happy to make any changes you would like. :)

The entirety of it all is wonderful! It looks like a good length too!! Yup yup, I'm really happy with the story! :D

The only changes I think I'd like, and I'm just realizing this now, is...... that for the second half of the story, I think I'd prefer if Kagi grew up to be somewhat of a loner. haahaaaahaa~~

Just for these parts since everything else was perfect:

1. "She hated the thought of leaving all her friends and the familiar blue house where she had lost her first tooth, learned to ride a bike, and kissed a boy while her parents were at a dinner party."

2. "The small brown house was pretty ugly"

I think it'd be nice if she didn't mind moving to a small brown house. I'm thinking that Kagi would probably get along better with nature and animals rather than humans. Although because of this she would probably turn out more quiet/reserved and lonely.

An updated draft for Aiyu. I made a few changes. Rather than her first kiss, I had Kagi tame a sparrow in the old house. I also made the move something she was happy about. I didn't know if you wanted me to specify somehow that she's a loner but I did try to show how she wasn't really "one with the team" in school, and how she would rather be admiring nature than hanging out with kids her age. Let me know if you would like any further changes.
