Ah, that clarifies the plot mechanics ^-^ It's still quite complex, I fear for your sanity trying to run that via giftboxes until the end... especially during the holidays season D:
So if that woman eventually got caught (and others got caught / could still get caught in the 2014 sequel), we had three categories of "lost" people: the dead ones, the corrupted ones and the prisoners. Would successfully bringing the sphere to the pedestal alter their condition in any way? I suppose the dead people would probably remain dead and the corrupted could get perpetually confined to the castle area, like "them" (after all, they did join their side), but I wonder if the prisoners would've been set free / had their previous bodies returned. That depends on how evil you'd want to be? xD This would probably apply to Melisande, too, even though she wasn't an exhibit in the gallery.
If some of "them" lived away from the Immsmore area, would they be dragged back somehow by the sphere's power (I'm unsure how, uh... corporeal? "they" are meant to be, maybe they're evil spirit entities that assume human form), or just rendered powerless, wherever they were? ^-^;
Ooh. That is/was a smart girl. Someone should've given her a pencil so she could scribble a note asking for help in the back of the invitation, or something like that ahaha /cheats xD
PSH I can keep asking about a million things JUST YOU WAIT. XD I'm slightly surprised nobody asked who "they" are! Who they are, how did they get here, why they're here, where they're going, what's the purpose of their existence... /throws in all philosophical questions 8D
here they are :)
Black Cards
Depending on the perspective, even monarchs may be beneath me.
Dressed to impress, or simply serve, Italian, French and Spanish I observe. Whatever your pleasure may be, all the animals in the kingdom are slave to me.
Four legs have I, a sturdy fellow. A fuzzy back that isn't yellow. But (often) green or (rarely) red. A den is where I make my bed. My keepers feed me colored balls. With sticks they store on my den walls.
If you stay, you'll come to meet me. But no matter how long you linger, you shall never call me home.
White Cards
You awake with me, and you must break me. But unlike a bone, you'll be stronger for it.
Of battles bloody, of kingdoms long, of things that are much far gone. Of rules which every man speaks; I hold them all within my chest, bound in skin and cased in flesh. Even the brightest man only knows a tenth of what I know best.
I feed armies, I heal soldiers, I ink pages, and I murder.
I loom outside places most private, and within me you'll find things most intimate, I'll hold a flame for you, and then I'll collect the ashes when you are spent.
Some of me is older than any man, and though I age well, I clearly show it.
