Objectively looking at it, tho, the carriages probably aren't there anymore... considering the castle is up the hill, at most we'd make it to the town. From the 2013 plot bit we get that the town people absolutely won't open their doors until the sun is high, so we don't get many hiding options LOL x_X

...if that text is right, then we have until dawn to either figure out a better escape route or to find something we could use for protection / to trap or freeze them until the sun is high! Maybe even kill them if we're super lucky.

Nah, but I definitely agree that tonight is probably a moonless night because why would we EVER decide to attend a masquerade when its NOT fucking TERRIFYING wheres the ADVENTURE xD But I think the fact that some in the room where once mortals is important to. Like yeah I can definitely see them stealing our faces, but like.. I could also see us being somehow (probably gruesomely) turned into horrid monsters if we stick around.

Also, idk if it was just for effect or not, but when in the game it relates their breathing to 'like a sick child', idk.. like it feels like they where once mortals but they where torn to bits and built anew into these monsters and now they're trapped in this gallery, weakened and probably in pain and like akshfkhge the whole image is terrifying

I think at least the gist of it is right (hopefully), but that's a good remark about them having been humans... given there are many of us vs. a smallish gallery, I guess whoever doesn't get feasted on might become an addition to it x_X If we can't save them then maybe we can put them to rest at least :x

Ah! A while ago I joined an event that had a little bit of deciphering before that, I knew next to nothing about it! c: It's mostly by trial and error, you can start out by checking which symbols get repeated the most (those are probably going to be the vowels) and then try to guess some words from that, to get you started on the other symbols (the consonants). I was happy the words were mostly short hehe That's why I mentioned not being so great at English, I know my vocabulary is more limited than I'd like ^-^; BUT HEY, IT MAKES A LITTLE BIT OF SENSE! haha

Are we sure that the 22 masked party-goers aren't the ones that were once mortal? I got the sense that the gallery were like... what are they called. Living works of art? People that model and get paint and costumes on them and are basically mannequins. It seemed like they were in stasis, so they don't seem as immediately threatening as the people in the ballroom?

I pretty much gave up after one minute checking the words. oxo But again, I'm supposed to be out in the garden, so! xD

No idea! Since the party goers seem human (I think?) then maybe it wouldn't make so much sense to say they were once mortal, however the notes are also (probably) making reference to whatever evil creatures/spirits that are causing the whole issue. xD After all, there's something keeping those "living works of art" there... who even owns the castle? Who's M&N? xD

THE BUTLER IS 100% TOTALLY GUILTY but idk if the other people in the ballroom are as clueless as we are (like maybe guests brought from another area?) or if they're also involved in that. I guess we'll find out on our next step, when we'll attempt to talk to them n_n
