Ha ha, well yours are probably more...focused than mine. I decided to basically wing everything this time around so it's all rather rambling at this point. xD
Want to go again?
Well I kinda went to bed afterwards, so maybe sometime today? Do you want my phone number so you can text me when you wanna do this? I don't mind it becoming a regular thing, but if not, that's cool too.

- Cool, I will have to look into it.
: I could use a little help on getting the word count widgit to work in my signature. I tried to use the code that Nano gave me, but it wasn't working.
I'm glad that there is a NaNoWriMo thread here on Subeta. I'm participating now for my 7th year and I'm starting my third novel. During my first three years, I completed my first book entitled "Sparky and the Wheezles: Decision at Glen Meadow." The last three years were spent writing "Lady Frieda: Master Healer of Glen Meadow." This year, I'm starting "Benji the Greaser: Savior of Glen Meadow."
The Glen Meadow Chronicles are a series of stories about the small creatures of Glen Meadow California, a beautiful forest meadow in the foothills and low mountains of the Central Sierra Nevada. The setting of the stories are as important to the characters and much research has gone into the natural history and cultural history of this very important region of the West.
The stories are meant for older children, but have wide appeal for young adult as well as adult audiences. I'm currently looking for an agent. Know any?
Anyway, I hope to be able to lurk and comment with you all as I find the time to. Good Writing!
You just have to transfer it to sCode, using the [ i m g ] [ / i m g ] tags, and putting the link from the widget's code in between.
No spaces though, obviously.

: you're a peach! Thanks sweetie.
It's no problem, hun. Took me a while to figure it out yesterday myself.
Also, on an unrelated note, I was so desperate to find someone to give me feedback on my story's beginning that I literally dreamed that my friend DJ was giving me his opinion. Gods I'm so pathetic haha

: what's your story about?
Whelp. It's about a fox demi-human who is taken from her home at a young age and sold into slavery, when the story begins, she is living as a Prostitute in a large city, in a demi-human/mythical being brothel. She meets a man who seduces her, and it turns out they are fated to be soul mates, which in their case means that they are now compelled by nature to be loyal to each other, even to love each other, but this becomes a problem when she learns just who her mate is, a man known as the Silver Prince, the leader of the largest underground slave trade the world has ever known, the Silver Market, and considered by most to be the devil incarnate.
The story actually is told from her point of view, but will be mainly about him. His apparent psychosis, his great power, and his journey as the story unfolds.
There is no one who is inherently good. I don't believe in good guys, just greater evils.
Stuff's gonna go down.
[edit] Also, sex and kink and dirty stuff :I

: That sounds ambitious. I will admit, it's a bit out of my genre, but intriguing none the less. So the one who is just like those who enslaved her is the one she falls in love with. There's got to be some mixed emotions there.
As I said, I'm a children's story author and while there won't be any sex aside from references to somebody being pregnant, or mum and father fancying a smooch or two, there is danger. In my first scene, the father of a large family describes how he was unable to stop the murder of one of his customers during a riot in the village square. It traumatizes my main character because his customer was murdered in front of his mate and offspring. so, yes, there is danger in my stories, but there are many many good guys. You gotta have good guys in children's stories.
I like your idea of less bad guys though. In adult fiction, it sounds more realistic somehow. It's like politics. Or Batman. Batman was not a nice guy, just less evil.
wow, over 16k words!! Your fingers must be on fire! That's awesome!!
Yeah, seriously. He almost kills her on a lot of occasions, but when this other guy comes in... oh geez She always thought that she was extremely fragile, bruising easily and whatnot, but it turns out she can withstand an intense amount of pain. The gods did make her with plans in mind, after all. Not only is she meant to be his mate, which is odd enough, as demons tend to not have mates {they are born from the evils of the human soul, not through copulation}, but she is meant to have his children, which is unknown to both of them. The guy that's going to make stuff even worse is the one who knows all of the details. He has been around longer than any other physical being, originating in the previous incarnation of the world, and found Toby when he was a child in order to raise him and turn him into the perfect figurehead for his even more behind the scenes type schemes. But, it turns out that the prophecy that lead him to seek out the "Silver horned Prince" will actually refer to Toby's son, the only Demon in the entire compiled history of the world to be born through traditionally physical means.
I was literally sweating. My fiance made fun of me for it and I was just like, "Nooo you can't comprehend this feel!"

The first day went great, considering I had no idea what I was up to. Almost reached yesterday's word goal before I had to go.
Now it's already half past eight in the evening and I still haven't written today. My goodness, I need a cup of tea before I write anything... D:
