- Nuuu you can't leave! Stay with us for Edmo!
: Sure, I will stay. What is EdMo?
- yup. Soup for lunch, soup for dinner, and drinking tea all day long!
- Editing month! Time to edit the novels we wrote! (or just work on them more cus they aren't 'done' done.)
Good good :) Gotta take care of yourself! Make sure that brain is functioning at full capacity as soon as possible to keep up the writing.
: I thought so, that sounds so cool. I'll probably stay on to add more to my current story, I wanted to finish the first "book" before I put it away for a while. I have two previous books that need serious editing though.
- yup, and I have today off, so I'm just gonna take it easy and drink lots of tea. :)
- Yeah, I want to keep going on my current story too, but there is a ton of editing that needs to be done still!
Nice :)
I should really work on my project story again... but I really got sucked into P3 all over again and the only things coming to mind are depressing fic ideas. All I want to do is make people have sads. I'm a terrible person XD
What sorts of goals and such are you guys setting for yourself to keep on track with your NaNo projects?
- goals huh.. Yeah, I should probably make some of those!
Hahaha, yeeeah... I have a feeling all of mine are going to get swept under the rug. It's not that I don't want to work on my story, because I do! But... these other things... I want to write them, too.
- Yeah, mine too, but because I want to be working on drawing, and moving into my sister's house, and playing pokemon etc! life is just too distracting!
Agreed! But aren't you turning your NaNo project into a graphic novel? So drawing is part of your thing, too. Even if you aren't drawing for it, specifically, everything you draw is practice :)
- I suppose :) I do have a lot of drawing projects for december.
Find the positive everywhere XD You are flexing your art muscles! Rrr!
Just like writing fanfic is like a warm up for writing original stuff! Yeah!
- Excellent! I like the way you think!
I am an eternal optimist XD; Drives people up the wall sometimes. I'm also really good at finding excuses for why I should be able to do the things I want to do even though there are other things I ought to be doing - which really isn't a good thing, I suppose...
- Like today, I'm sick so I should be able to do whatever I want, so that's what I'm gonna do!
Yeah! You take care of yourself and do whatever feels like a good thing.
As far as goals go, My goal for this last summer was to get an agent and start getting my books in order ready for submission. Family tragedy and life wrecked those plans. I have two complete manuscipts "Sparky and the Wheezles: Decision at Glen Meadow." a story about my cousin Sparkles Christopher Wheezle and his failed rock and roll band. "Lady Fireda: Master Healer of Glen Meadow," a story about me and my quest. Now, I'm writing "Benji the Greaser: Savior of Glen Meadow." about Benjamin Redfern, the one who founded many of our communities traditions back in 1964. I would love to sell these stories. I'm not going to sweep them under the rug. Circumstances may conspire to attempt to do so, but my family is pretty supportive and they push me forward.
