"Save Face" is a pretty good movie, don't know how popular it is, found it on Netflix
Clue is a great movie, love it too
Kung pao enter the fist And Pootie tang Both similar humor. Both great. Kung pao is an old asian movie Enter the Dragon and they green screen a main character into it and do horribly awful english dubs. I didnt know it was an old movie that was edited. It is amazing nonetheless Pootie tang is a movie where chris rock is half the male characters. Super silly. Stupid silly. Makes me feel 14 again :p
The Ugly It is kind of psychological, kind of horror. It has been one of my favorite movies for a long time. ❤️
Not totally unknown but not very known either...one of my all-time favorite movies: Benny and Joon.

Eva is an emotionally moving Spanish scifi film about a cybernetic engineer. After being abroad he returns home, where an old robotic project he abandoned was finished by those he left behind. Her name is Eva, and she's been raised to believe she's a real human girl. I can't say much more without spoilers, but trust me when I say it's really worth a watch if you like the idea of exploring a world where robots live alongside humans and contemplating the definition of humanity.
Also, it's on Netflix!
Nosferatu (1922 - Silent film), but I think a few people know the story of Nosferatu. Necronomicon (1994), a movie comprised of three "short films" based off of HP Lovecraft stories.

Fans of 'Nosferatu' might enjoy 'Shadow Of The Vampire', a fictional "biography" of the making of 'Nosferatu', in which Max Schreck is portrayed as being so eerily "accurate" in his acting (as well as his insistence on remaining "in character" at all times) for a very good reason.
Willem Dafoe is brilliant as Schreck and John Malkovich only slightly less so as director F.W. Murnau.
And with any Lovecraft reference I have to recommend 'In The Mouth Of Madness' as the best Lovecraft-ian homage horror movie I've ever seen.
Love is all you need.
The Hogfather. Great alternative Christmas movie.

Did you saw "Dagon" from 2001? Maybe one of the best Lovecraft based films for me. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0264508/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
I haven't, no, but it's on my list of movies to try to see.
Another one I'd recommend is the 1986 remake of 'The Fly', a lot less cheezy than the original.
Love is all you need.
The Zero Effect with Bill Pullman and Ben Stiller and Ryan O'Neal. Great little movie with lots of visual bits including Pullman doing Rodin poses. Good mystery too.
Tony Takitani! It's an adaptation of a Haruki Murakami short story, it's so graceful and wistful. Quite melancholy but with a definite undercurrent of hope!
Love & Savagery is one of the maybe 5 actually good romance films I've ever seen. It has 227 votes on IMDB so suffice to say not many people have seen it. The film wasn't very story rich but the visuals were lovely, the acting was substantial and both leads were rather easy on the eye.
The Eagle (2011), Wilby Wonderful, Big Eden :)
Paperback Hero. It's an Australian rom-com starring Hugh Jackman when he was much younger. LOVE that movie. It's the only rom-com he's been in that I come away feeling like the characters really actually belong together! LOL

Run Lola Run. I watched it back in college and was thinking about it for the next few weeks, it's really cool and very clever! I've introduced it to a lot of people I know IRL who hadn't heard of it and hyped about it a lot.
Cleared by staff - maximum height is 325px.
A couple of my favorite movies that not too many people seem to know about or remember are "The Journey of Natty Gann" and "Hearts and Souls". Both are wonderful films that always bring a tear to my eye and absolutely deserve more attention!
I was going to mention Shadow of the Vampire too - just love that movie.
Others I thought of: In the Mood for Love (2000) - a Chinese film that is beautifully shot, very atmospheric, sad and beautiful too (about two couples living in the same apartment building and how their lives intersect).
My Own Private Idaho (1991) - Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix play street hustlers, and I don't want to go into other details.
Boogie Nights - don't know how obscure it really is, but it's about Mark Wahlberg becoming a porn star in the '70s. Great cast including Don Cheadle, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, Heather Graham, William H. Macy and others. I could watch it over and over.
