Not literally, but very few people I think would know about 'Lo'.
It's a demon/human love story. It's got amusing parts, cheezy parts, (admittedly) bad parts, thoughtful parts...but for me, it's good because it makes me feel for the main characters.
Anyway, thought I'd share...if anyone else wants to please do, and if your recommendation is on the movie service I have I might try/review it :)
Love is all you need.
Re: 'Last Days', is that a real bio film or a fictional "reenactment"?
I liked 'Tucker & Dale'...I still prefer the old 'Return of the Living Dead' and especially 'Cabin In The Woods' in terms of parody, but it was surprisingly good (I'd never heard of it before I saw it).
Love is all you need.
It's a fictional reenactment. Wikipedia says it's "a fictionalized account of the last days of a man who has the same type of lifestyle as Kurt Cobain", so it's not exactly a bio film about Kurt Cobain, but the main character is clearly meant to be him. A very slow and strange movie.
I haven't seen The Cabin In The Woods yet. Some of my friends watched it and told me it's awful, but it's on my to-watch list. :P
Hmmm ok. I really like Nirvana/Cobain so I might love it or hate it :)
Well it's awful if you're expecting a horror movie. It's a total satire on a number of things with a lot of references to horror movies. It's somewhat gory, but it's NOT a horror film. If you go into it expecting satire I think you're much more likely to like it.
If you like horror/comedy satire types, I'd recommend '100 Bloody Acres'...it's a bit like Tucker & Dale.

when I saw the title of this I was thinking of Lo. Love that movie. I also love I sell the dead. and mirrormask
Signature cleared by staff. Width may not exceed 450 pixels.
I thought it was going to be another horrible horror movie, but I was really pleasantly surprised.
Not nearly as into the second you mentioned, though I see why people would like it.
What is mirrormask about?
Love is all you need.
I think it's called Chocolate. It's about an autistic Japanese girl who 'absorbs' kung fun knowledge just by watching it. She uses it to (along with a friend, a guy who just sits by amazed) collect money owed to her mother because the mother has cancer and was once in the mob or something.
''Mother's money! >( "
Totally in Japanese but SO AWESOME!!!
: mirrormask is similar to Alice and Wonderland. It's about a girl who works in her parents circus but she wants a normal life then her mum gets sick and the girl gets sucked in to a weird dark kind of world where she has to find the mirrormask to get home.
Oh and another good movie: the brass teapot
Signature cleared by staff. Width may not exceed 450 pixels.
I think I'm gonna watch 100 Bloody Acres with my boyfriend on Halloween! He hates horror movies but he liked Tucker & Dale, so I think it's a movie we'll both enjoy. :P
Chocolate is one of my favourites! I can't believe I forgot to mention it. It's one of those movies where you're expecting it to be just another martial arts movie and it takes you completely by surprise.
I think maybe a lot of people may not know about the 10th kingdom. Fantasy, romance, drama, comedy. It was really nice:)
I've never heard of it...sounds a bit like 'The Princess Bride', which is a good thing :)
Love is all you need.
It is really good! So was Princess Bride. You should try it and I recommend it to anyone else who might be interested :)
Ok, I added it to my list.
Love is all you need.
Drop Dead Gorgeous. A movie about a beauty pageant where all of the contestants are dying off, filmed documentary style.
Pleasantville. A brother and sister who couldn't be more different in a dysfunctional 21st century family are sucked into an old-fashioned television show similar to Leave it to Beaver.
I'm sure there's some more I could think of, but I've exposed several people to those two and it seems that hardly anyone has heard of them.
The first one sounds vaguely familiar...the second one I've heard of but haven't seen yet.
Love is all you need.
Drop Dead Gorgeous has Kirsten Dunst, Kirstie Alley, and Brittany Murphy in it...
as far as "famous" actresses go.
No one I talk to has ever seen Wild at Heart, other than the friend I went to go see it with.
I like Drop Dead Gorgeous. Love Kirstie Alley.

I looooove Tucker and Dale! My friend showed it to me one time and now it's one of few films that is kinda 'our' thing.
21, Sydney White and Dead Silence are what I'm going to suggest, although they're probably a lot more popular than I think. All fantastic movies imo. :D
