Yes, you're right, that part was a bit.... hmm... :D but i've seen the movie many many times, and i'm actually okay with it now ^^
"Requiem for a dream" is a highly underrated film, and also one of my favorites, though it definitely earned its 'R' rating.
Felidae. Creepiest movie I have ever seenn, also animated, and contains everything a kid should not see x_x
Push - People with special abilities being hunted by a government organization. (That probably doesn't make it sound great but it's an amazing movie!)
Clue: The Movie. It's based off the board game, which was one of my favorites growing up, and it's positively hilarious.
One that I think got overlooked (a long time ago) is 'Three Kings'. I've very little interest in two of the three actors playing the main characters - especially the lead, George Clooney - but it was surprisingly very good, IMPO. Quite dark in parts, though, just FYI.
Love is all you need.
A movie I saw a long time ago called The Company Of Wolves that came out in the 80's.Its one of the best re-telling of Red Riding Hood IMO,and it does deserve the R rating, especially with the one gory transformation scene. Its a blend of Horror,Fantasy with bit of mystery and little comedy thrown in.The wedding scene where everyone turns into werewolves was one of the funniest. Did I mention it has werewolves through out the movie?
One Stormy Night:A nicely done anime without CGI effects of any kind. The art and animation is beautifully drawn. Its a story of wolf and a goat who become friends while sheltering in a barn during stormy weather.Their friendship is however challenged because they're supposed to be predator and prey, and they try to keep it a secret from each others groups;the goat's herd and the wolf's own pack.To me I can't but think it was somewhat inspired partially by Ringing Bell after watching it.
The Victim:I saw this Thai movie a few years ago when it came out on cable. Its about a struggling young actress who takes a job working for the police department, re-enacting crime scenes, but starts to have frightening experiences when she takes on the role of a murdered beauty queen. And boy does ever!At some of the scenes she has supernatural experiences where ghosts show up.There is a twist though in this film. And some of the locations were scenes of real life famous crimes
And some of the film crew experienced strange phenomena there too.
And I'm going to watch this film from the 1970's called Let's Scare Jessica To Death,a horror movie that was featured on the old Movie Macabre with Elvira.I hadn't seen it for years,so I don't remember it too much.
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

Bubble Boy and Eurotrip are my personal favorites. Both are cheesy comedies about a guy traveling across a country/continent to meet the girl he loves so he can confess his feelings to her... and the trip on the way there goes all kinds of wacky. I love 'em.
Eurotrip is a little bit naughtier than Bubble Boy, however. But hey, Eurotrip had Xena (Lucy Lawless) working as a dominatrix in Amsterdam. Do you really need more convincing after that? Nah!

Clue is a good movie - I have it on DVD - I remember when it was in the theatres and had the three or four different endings.
the movie Hide with Christian Kane and Rachel Miner. it is so good!
Lightyears- a science fiction animated movie; 9 lives of garfield; nestor the long-eared christmas donkey and Franklin-Bass's Wind in The willows

A Life Less Ordinary I'm a huge Ewan McGregor fan, and this movie just tickles me! :D Great cast, hilarious, just one of those films I can watch over and over.
"Mornings are for coffee and contemplation." - Hopper, Stranger Things
I really like 'De grønne slagtere' (The Green Butchers) but I suppose dark comedy involving cannibalism is hit and miss. :/
Also fun fact: This move stars Mads Mikkelsen. Make of that what you will. Lol.
First post here in eons:
'Snowpiercer' is an interesting movie. You might think it's a bit stupid (and some scenes are) but the concept is brilliant and some of it is quite good.
Also, one of the best horror films (horror meaning scary as opposed to meaningless-gory) ever is on a certain streaming service that's quite popular ('The Shining')

I saw this thread and my first thought was that I ought to mention Snowpiercer, I love that movie but it hardly got the public recognition it deserves. It was such a beautifully shot movie, with a very interesting concept too.
Attack the Block was a brilliant movie, both cinematography-wise, and acting-wise. Not sure if the plot about 'aliens attacking a block in London' is the shining example of storytelling, but it was scary, entertaining and very engaging.
I actually watched 'Snowpiercer' again to make sure I hadn't over-rated it, and it was just as good.
And of course if you like movies so awful they're great, you can't go wrong with 'Manos: The Hands Of Fate'...MST3K version or regular version depending on if you like MST.

Don Bluth's 'Thumbelina' from 1994 I used to watch this on VCR as a little girl and I loved it so much. It's really sweet and romantic and beautifully drawn. Ever since dvd's came out it was as if I was the only one that remembered this movie, at least in my country. I just recently came across the dvd but only English spoken. I can't find the Dutch version anywhere on dvd so it's just as if I'm one of few that remembers this movie.
Benny and Joon One of the cutest Johnny Depp movies around! But I hardly know anyone that knows it apart from my family and they only know it through me.
Electrick Children doesn't have nearly enough fans considering how beautifully shot it is. The subject matter is a bit heavy, but it's just so gorgeous and heart-breaking.
there's a japanese movie called nobody knows, it's extremely sad, but i love it. i'm not sure if it's still on netflix, but it's really good.
There's a movie about time travel called 'Primer' that's very good, and another movie by the same writer/director called 'Upstream Colour'. 'Upstream Colour' is a lot more about images, sound, and mood than anything else...it's very different from most movies - you may love it, you may hate it.
