yep. mieke completed it i think and now cant do it. i like getting the sp more than the completion
i did dive i to a lot of games attempting to get achievements but the top tiers were so hard i gave up on most of them as i dont have the inclination to keep playing the game
Edit I forgot what card crusade was. I had to go play it. No strategy... All you can do is click and hope. Lol it's WAR!!! I used to play war against myself all the time. I did it elaborately... I'd even make like four or six sets of stacks to begin with instead of just two!!!
Yeah, don't complete it unless you want the staff or whatever it is!
BUT, Keith said in the shoutbox a few weeks ago that he might change it so that we can do it again, which would be great!
We can totally be connected, Berry :P
Ugh yesterday I worked 6:30-1:30, had a library board meeting from 2-4:30!!!, got home and put the laundry away and ate and worked from 5:30-9:10.. got home and no one had taken the trash out.. even after I reminded them. :/ I was SO annoyed that I had to do it after that longass day.
And then today.. was just a cluster of a day. I got new tires though! So at least I'm far less likely to die LOL.And then the friend with no car texted last minute to see if I could pick her up (it's only 20 minutes BUT STILL) and I did NOT want to, I just wanted to SLEEP, but I ended up going.
Iz cooked dinner with Alex, and she really did a great job deciding on seasonings, etc. So I asked if she wanted to come with me, I had some fundraising certificates for Krispy Kreme so we stopped there and got a dozen donuts for tomorrow and I got her a chocolate glazed one for trying new things (cooking :P instead of baking!) and doing a great job.. and the girl that was getting our donuts gave us each a free glazed one and it's just been such a bad week I almost cried haha.
And thennnnn... we went and picked Danielle up and I even offered to take her grocery shopping (since, again, she doesn't have a car, and it's not like you can walk to grocery stores here.. there's no fresh anything!). And I AM glad that I did, because I would have felt awful if I didn't go get her, you know? Even though I didn't want to go out. But that girl at the donut shop, she seriously made my day LOL.
I like caliphs tomb, I play that one a lot. And I like cybill sledding. 6777 points gets you the 10k win :P
Good morning from Europe! And thank you both! :D
That's such a sweet donut shop story, glad it helped. Having a difficult week like that, it's wonderful that an extra glazed donut can be just a ray of sunshine making it all a little better. I love when little gestures have big impact, and I think it happens wayyy more than people tend to think. And boo for nobody taking out the trash!
It's Saturday, I slept in, fed my cat, went on to Subeta. Time to do my quests, then go to the gym, later on I'll watch a show with an online friend, we have NOT set a time so it'll be whenever we're done with lunch I think!
Have you heard Survival will likely start on Monday, according to Keith? I was hoping for the weekend so I can really dive in, Monday I am at the office so have less time to engage for sure, but still exciting!
Mieke, you were very kind (and smart) to take your friend shopping while you were picking her up!! I think I would have yelled at whoever was in charge of the trash to come take it out NOW when I got home after all that. Also I love that the krispy kreme girl made your day! Those little gestures can perk you up a lot!! I'm sure Izzy was thrilled by it too!
Berry I had not heard Keith made any kind of announcement about Survival. I too wish he had started it earlier. I prefer things to start over a weekend, so I have some free time. I will kiss people during naptime at work though hahah!! The best thing about kissing is that BOTH people get the candy hearts, so even if you don't have a lot of time to kiss, I will put you on my kissing list and some of my lurker friends (HELLO LURKERS!!!) love to use that list to participate in events, so you will get kissed and get hearts. And the zombie thing, once you get infected, the virus just mutates on its own, you just have to wait and let time make it progress. You can nudge along the infection stage by being bitten and there is a great forum board for that!
edit: Ugh. I was going to go to walmart this morning, but its already raining. I might wait and go later or tomorrow morning instead. I don't need very much anyway. Maybe I'll just make Nathan get the stuff at his work tonight even!!
edit2: All done with all quests (even Sarah) except for Drills and Battle. Only quit 2 or 3 quests on kumos.
And. Yesterday. SO MUCH GOING ON. So Shane called me. Was talking about Anna getting her CDL back and maybe giving him the dogs (which means, yes, I'd get the dogs or at least one of them, as it doesn't have its shots yet). But then no, she's going to take them with her. Excuse me. So stupid, because 1. If she is getting her CDL back she will be put with a trainer again and who is to say that trainer wants TWO DOGS on their truck?? eyeroll We will see what happens in that situation. Then in a call before that one, Shane tells me he's about to quit (again) because his paycheck is getting screwed up (E.G. Shane didn't do something right, is blaming someone else and is now pissy about it). We are talking, he's calmed down about that now a day later, and he's like, yeah no i'll stay with t his company another year or two, oh wait I have to go, let me take this other call. Calls me back lafter - and says I am putting in my two weeks notice, this other company recruiter just called me back and they can get me in orientation on (whatever date) GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK KID This idiotic child of mine has SIX w-2 forms from last year sitting at my house waiting on him to do his taxes. And is already changing jobs again in FEBRUARY less than 3 months after he started his newest job. sigh
In the middle of all that chaos, my dad texts me "hey what is dress code for graduation?" uuuuh, pretty sure guests don't have a dress code? Whatever you want to wear! :P (*plus that is in MAY why are you asking about it in February?!!?) And then Katie texts me - oooh by the way, we having rehearsal and a dinner after on Thursday too, so ummm....are you going to come to that? i don't have an exact time for the rehearsal yet. ARRRRRRGGGHHHHHH So now I have to plan to probably leave on WEDNESDAY and stay THREE nights so I can go to rehearsal and dinner and the wedding. Which - ok I don't mind but would have liked to know to BEGIN WITH to plan for it!! I was planning on going up early Friday since the wedding is Friday PM!!! And only have 1 night in a hotel. And only 1 night to worry about someone watching Belle. But now its THREE nights plus four pretty much full days sigh
And like, I already didn't really have the money to go for the trip in the first place. But I did get my credit card limit increased just in case and then thankfully I got that tax return too, so that will help but UGH - this is so NOT what I planned on using any tax return $ for. But I will. It will be worth it. But is FRUSTRATING to get updated like this. Just for reference, its a FIVE HOUR DRIVE up to where the wedding will be. So thats a five hour drive there, three night stay now, and then a five hour drive home. ALL I can say is I am thankful this is during Spring Break somehow yay and I'll be home on Saturday regardless, so I can rest at least a day before going back to work.
AND hope I have all my college stuff in order, because if I'm spending three/four days up there I'll be distracted and not able to focus on assignments....but that should be ok anyway I feel, as I said, I'll be on break and whatever I have to do is only for the student teaching class at that time of the year.
Ugh, that is a lot, Kat! Especially being updated so slowly and not completely all at once. And yeah, money. Always LOL. Alwayssss money. Good luck!
And ugh to Shane. You're better than I am, I think I'd stop answering the phone when he called LOL.
Berry, that sounds so fun! I love the idea of watching a movie with an online friend.
Actually.. a long time ago in Unique (a guild here), we used to watch movie nights over the IRC. That was so fun. Hmmm...
Had to go to the city to pick up Alexs glasses, so Frell came over and we went to Sams so they could buy stuff (and we needed a few things, too!), then walmart for more groceries, picked up his glasses, went to the pet store next door (Kellys skin is REALLY dry, so I was looking for something to help her.. no luck. We've already made sure she has SO much fresh water available, been giving her more wet food, we've tried oil.. no luck). Stopped at the chocolate store to see if they had half price valentines candy, but not peanut butter smidgens for Alex, and I still didn't want to pay $8.50 for a box of caramel ones for me :/
Came home, burned the garbage, Alex fixed Els car a little (a piece of shielding is CONSTANTLY coming off from underneath!), and then he cut her hair. Family day, apparently :P
Woah Kat, what a day that was! Totally understand that you want to be there for rehearsal and it's worth it, but the communication being so short-term definitely is frustrating. Honestly, that lack of communication way earlier would mean for me that I'd be unlikely to turn up on Thursday - but it makes sense that you're going of course! Sorry to hear about the financial anxiety piling up on that, ugh, that sucks! And wow Shane is living a life of chaos from the sounds of it, that sounds so stressful! Couldn't be me... and I guess it's hard to not take it on as a stressor for yourself, even though he IS technically an adult, if I remember correctly. I don't think you need to worry about your college stuff, I am extremely confident that you'll have it in order :D
Mieke that got a little laugh out of me, you'd stop answering the phone! XD Also yeah watching stuff with online friends is great, such a good activity to do together when apart. And family day doesn't sound bad to me, are you having a good time?
Yeah, it was pretty fun! Though I wish Alex would have gone to the bank yesterday, because now I'm slightly panicking and hoping absolutely nothing else needs to be paid or bought until then :P
But I really do think I'd stop answering the phone LOL. Frell is lucky I answer the phone for them, and that's.. generally less drama :P
Berry, yes. All my kids are adults. Shane is 27 and my biggest disaster as well as being my oldest child. He is an over the road truck driver and has no place else to call home especially since he and Anna decided to get divorced (which is a whole other drama as they've honestly only just separated and not filed or anything that I can tell). Katie's 24, my middle child. And not so usually chaotic...but planning a wedding out of state is probably throwing her off. Nathan, my youngest, who lives with me, is 19. He and Katie aren't such disasters ... But Nathan has his own set of issues mainly being he's never had to do without things he wants/needs and has no idea how the real world works while also having born the brunt of living thru mine and my ex's divorce as he was the only one still at home.
They're my kids. I might threaten to ignore them... but I never would. I couldn't. So I just end up annoyed as frick instead. Especially by Shane and his chaos.
[edit] Good Morning I am actually going to the bank this morning. I was going to go yesterday ... but the rain was happening and I didn't go anywhere. I got my stipend from DECAL scholarships in the mail Friday. So gonna cash that and use it to go to Sams and stock up on non-perishables again. Toilet paper, water, laundry soap, dish soap...might grab another thing of paper towels just to see me through the rest of the year or however long lol I still have plenty of them though. May or may not get some food things like chips, granola bars, snacks... Except I probably won't go to Sam's until next weekend. I don't like shopping later in the day and my neighbor (who takes me as she has a card) is busy this morning. And then to walmart. Where I get to buy a new doorknob in addition to a few other things. The backdoor for some reason locked itself halfway open (the tongue thing that inserts to keep the door shut) and won't stay shut or unlock. Nathan tried, I tried, he even tried taking it off and fiddling with it but it won't budge. So I'm just going to get a new one. I may or may not also go to Ingles as I refuse to buy meat at walmart and I could use some more hamburger. I have PLENTY of steaks (as you know) and still have chicken and pork chops left. But no more hamburger. Am still deciding. Tacos, spanish rice, and spaghetti are fast easy go-to meals around here, and all require hamburger.
Morning! It's being a slow Sunday so far for me. The weather is nice though, so I should get out, maybe for an extended walk with the husband. That would be nice. I'm sure he'd be down for it too, he likes walks!
Morning! Glad you got out yesterday, Kat! (Also, I'm jealous, as our bank and all the banks around here close at 11am on Saturdays like.. WHAT?!)
We're supposed to get.. between 1-18 inches of snow today/tomorrow. Literally not a single forecaster is saying the same thing, like.. I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen.
But I'm going to take a bath this morning, then fill the bathtub with clean water just in case the power goes out.. apparently it's supposed to be wet, heavy snow, and very windy as well. :/
Also, Kat.. here, our Walmart has little stickers with local farms on some of their packages of meat, and the farms talk about it too. Not all of them, but I know they really do buy a lot of their meat from the local places.. same with vegetables in the summertime. Is that only a here thing?!
I didn't go anywhere yesterday, I went today :P My bank has a live teller/atm machine that is open 7am-7pm every single day. I love it. I rarely actually go inside the bank for anything lol
Ooh snow! Fun (but not for you, I know!).
mmm, no I don't think our walmart, or any store around here does that, with local farms. We do have farmer markets especially in spring/summer (but I don't go), and there is often flyers or notifications where you can buy meat directly from a farm or whatever, but that's super crazy expensive too, so I never do. I don't think that walmart meat is necessarily bad - but years ago we did end up with upset stomachs after eating it multiple times and I just refuse to buy there anymore, even though I've read they've changed their practices. Its also partly that I never see meat on sale there and if I go to Ingles, there is almost always something on sale that I can get cheaper - and hamburger for $6 a lb or $3 a lb? Well I'll go for cheaper, as I use it or freeze it asap. (I miss buying it at $3lb and $1lb on sale!)
A walk sounds nice. I'm afraid of my foot acting up again if I was to do too much tho. I'ts settled down where I think its just the bone spur annoying me and not the plantar fasciitis - but I know using it more for walking or exercising would probably cause it to act up again :(
Best of luck with the weather and the power, Mieke!
We did go out, I even saw some flowers coming out. It did also snow just a few days ago! Not heavy snow, mind you.
Kat that's totally fair with the meat (a bad experience like that will make a BIG impression and stick with you) and the avoiding of extended walks, sorry to hear about the foot bothering you - even if it's not a lot, it sucks that it hinders you from doing things!
I sat down after coming in and it's nice to just rest up my feet. Cat rolled up behind me, I appreciate she came out to hang out with me! The morning she spent curled up in "the cave", which is just the base of the tall cat tree.
And for Subeta-related things, I quit almost all Saggi quests on Kumos today. I'm careful with him now 8)
Mama cat has discovered my new recliner, and now is furring it up daily. I have got to get a small throw blanket for it I guess, so I don't end up vacuuming it all the time. I also forgot to get a new wire brush for her, she's got some matted fur and the plastic prong brush I have for the dog doesn't work well for her (it works great to remove the shedding dog fur, when we remember to USE it and it has that push button fur removal for the brush, which I love!) I think Mama's "cave" would be under my bed. She loves to go there. not sure why. Otherwise she curls up on top of the couch or my bed, or now my recliner. She stopped using the cat towers years ago, so I removed them to storage. She's 14, so I think all she wants to do is sleep anyway.
I have been working on school work. I printed off directions/due dates for all my remaining assignments, copied the weekly lesson plan for the 4th week and began changing the songs out (I still have to do the calendar songs) - after that i will work on finding books and activities and small group ideas. I redid and printed the assessment sheet for my next lesson plan (sight words in small groups) and printed that lesson plan off so that my lead techer can approve it (I am certain she will and have already sent it and got professor approval and a time for her to come watch me teach it).
Flowers! Oh my gosh, I'm so jealous.. we've still got at least 2 months before we start seeing anything like that here.
I'm ready for it, though!
Oh yeah, we have the farmers markets too, and the direct to consumer.. but the bigger farms also sell directly to Walmart. Hmm. That's interesting. I asked my friend and they said they don't do that there, either, so maybe it really IS just here?!
Looking like the snow is going to be a bust (OMG I hope so!). That would be a nice change haha.
Yes, specifically I saw some of these! (Hopefully the picture will show up) Love these little ones, they can push through snow too!

Great job on getting your work done, Kat!
And Mama cat sounds like such a good cat! I love a senior. My little one Muna is also older, only slightly behind Mama cat in age. Her 13th birthday is coming up this April!
Oooh, I love snowdrops! Honestly, I'd just be happy to see anything alive :P
Mieke - yea probably just certain areas or certain farms to certain stores. I mean, I know there are cows being raised around here for beef and all (not sure I've seen any farms for food, other than a few "destination" type places). But I guess every area decides how they want to do stuff.....
I'd like to see some things blooming too. But at least I've got my roses, for a little longer before they die (the ones I bought myself for Valentines). They're in full bloom now and I've changed the water twice with the flower food added, so hopefully they'll last a good little bit longer. Nothing is growing outside other than weeds and clover. Always the clover. I have SO MANY limbs/branches that have fallen to the ground and I need to pick them all up sometime in the next month or so, that way when the grass starts growing I'll be able to mow easy. The way the weathers been here, no idea when everything will grow. We go hot, then we go cold, then we do both in the same day. Georiga weather is bipolar I swear!
Good morning from Europe! Bipolar weather sounds like a heck and a half to deal with. Ours is USUALLY very stable, if there's sudden swings in temperature it throws everyone off 😆
Don't see any zombies yet... did my Legacy quests instead! (Apart from Drills that is.)
Good Morning Berry! They'll make a news announcement about it I'm sure. Probably this afternoon (subeta time) - which sucks for you overseas people!
My back hurts this morning. And after a week off being super lazy, I'll probably be so sore by the end of the work day (my feet, my legs, my back still...) I'll live, but be achy!
[edit] 640am Almost time to leave. I finished my kumos quests (quit 1 Maleria and 1 Saggi). Began my legacy quests. Have done Chase, Shinwa, Blue, Carl and Wiz. See you all later for kisses (hopefully!!)
