Wow Berry! You've done so well getting stuff! I was grateful to get help from Kat for my first event (Vesnali coming up next month) (also that'll be 2 years for me around then! I'm still new, but can help others back now :D )

You're another few weeks closer to graduation, Kat! Whoop whoop! I'm sure you'll do great with observation! :D How has doing lessons been going?

I'm about halfway through my second semester! Just yesterday I spent about an hour and a half talking to a couple of staff at the internship I'm at for material for a paper. That video was a whopping 6 GB! Even compressed it's a little over 1 GB because it's an hour long video! I've never had one file being that big before-the two videos together made ~7 GB.

I've got three weeks pretty much completely done. I am working on the fourth week,and think I'll throw together the 5th week (and if we use it, we use it, if we don't, we don't). I asked her what she wanted, and she said it didn't matter to her either way, if I wanted to do it, I could. This week was my first week "teaching" - and its gone well so far. The kids are doing fine with me being "in charge", haven't really wondered too much about why we switched places (tho I did tell them a few weeks ago we were going to, so maybe they remembered....) Its not really any different than me teaching when she is absent to me, just that I am doing it EVERY day....whooooo :P lol

I plan to talk to my professor about what the third "official" lesson plan (Mercer template, UGH) is supposed to be like - it really gave no instruction other than "literacy lesson plan" - thanks so much :P

Oooh Guess What??? Exciting news, we are happy!! However, normally we would not be LOL We will have 18 students again tomorrow. - But its not a NEW student, its an old one returning. She moved away right before Christmas, and all of us (teachers and kids) have really missed her, the kids still say "Lilly's not in our class anymore" when we talk about how many kids are in the class total - and when we told them Lilly moved back, omg they were SOOOOOO EXCITED (and so are we) Lilly is a darling child. We've missed her.

[edit] 630am Good Morning. So....I decided and I just reserved a rental car for the trip to NC for the wedding. My car is old, and vibrates and while I trust it to go to Florida, I have family down there that can come rescue me if it breaks down. I do not have family that can come rescue me in NC :P (Even though there will be a lot of them there for the wedding). It was only $180 for Wed night to Sat night for a economy rental, which is all we need, since its just me and Nathan.

There was that one time I used pads that were minty - it burned, I would not recommend! I actually haven't considered allergy, I thought everyone would react like this to mint, but maybe it was a little allergic reaction? It wouldn't make sense to have minty pads if it was hurting everybody, right? But yeah, generally seems unnecessary to scent these things. Sorry you dealt with that, Mieke! That sucks!

Beth - thank you :D I am intensely into Survival. Vesnali has cute stuff too, so I'm looking forward to that as well! And with how intensely I am grabbing hearts I have already gotten some stickers from the Parlour to stick on others, it's always nice to be able to give back. And an hour long video sounds intense, that sounds like a LOT of work you did! May the force be with you for that paper!

Kat, awesome that you're doing the teaching every day now, look at you gooo :D and so sweet that everyone is happy for Lilly's return! That sounds amazing. As a kid that's all I wanted, for everyone to like and miss me, haha. Lilly's doing great. Sounds like a good idea to get the rental car. That way you're worry-free for the trip! And maybe Nathan can contribute to the cost too?

Yes. The rental car will be a load off my mind. If I had $ I would totally go for a new car, but between the payment and the full coverage insurance with Nathan, ugh. Nope. Just...not right now. Hopefully soon, within a year or two. Or maybe I can figure out a way to keep him OFF the new car, and only on the old one.....maybe? :P

Oooh also, that third literacy lesson plan? My professor said I could use an OLDER literacy activity I did for my professional development and write out the lesson plan for it MERCER STYLE. I don't have to come up with a whole new activity or teach it! YAAAAY :P Just use my old pictures and lesson, and fill out the mercer template. Phew. The assessment part might be the hardest for that. But I will see what I can do.

Oooh yeah, it was POURING here two days ago. L:ike.. allll day long. Today it's just very.. wet outside. It's not raining, but like.. it's so humid it may as well be?

I'm really looking forward to the next few days of warmth, though! Though hitting 70 on Tuesday and Wednesday and then a high of 40 Thursday is a bit depressing..

Oh my goodness. It's too early to mow the lawn, all the poor critters still asleep under the leaves, etc! Though here we don't do no-mow March, we do no-mow April.. and sometimes May. I try to let it go as much as I can without getting overrun by snakes :/

I have struggled lately to get to this board, BUT HERE WE ARE! Whee! The kissing booths now appear on Legacy, where they work pretty well, but don't update in real time. I think it takes an hour for kisses to show up. From what I heard the kissing booths were at least one of the major factors behind the recent errors, so maybe having it be delayed helps with that. In other Subeta news: I got the Survival flowers achievement! Woohoo! Thank you both for helping along while you could collect flowers, it was genuinely a big help :D

I tried to drink an infected vial for the achievement as well but when I was trying that yesterday it just wouldn't let me, so I went for a new strain instead, and now I am also in the progress of being made into a dough.

No lawn to be mown over here, we live in a city apartment on the first floor - only got my indoor plants and balcony! And unfortunately the inside of this apartment is dry and I am struggling keeping my ferns alive in these conditions. My monstera is absolutely thriving though! I may just have to give up, put the ferns on the balcony, and find indoor plants that love it dry. I got the ferns because I wanted no-sunlight plants on my desk, where they don't get direct sunlight at all.

Good Morning See I knew Mieke would have a shocked face. But Mieke - my grass needed it. I had all sorts of weedy straggly bits and wild onions and clover almost a foot tall :P I left the majority of the piles of leaves around in the terrace and under the oak, I only moved SOME leaves. Tho I am very tempted to start moving SOME of that stuff, I need to shrink the terrace back in and clean up around the oak tree for proper mowing this spring. That will probably wait a few more weeks though.

Hmm site seems more stable (legacy) but its all wonky text style?? LIke the fonts and spacing has changed for me... very weird!! I signed up for a new virus, but not sure it actually went through, yesterday so I'm going to go check today.

Berry - yaaaay for finishing the achievement!! :D The only indoor plant I have (other than occasional cut roses or other cut flowers) is my christmas (thanksgving? easter?) cactus. It last bloomed in September or something LOL

Edit 2: I was looking at my pets and I realized, Ruan is a baby version of Shassy now lol they are both paralix and the chibi looks like a baby version of the Chinese dragon, which is why i liked it in the first place. Also - it took me over an hour and a half to just do my kumos quests. Phew. Normally I'm done with those in a little over 30minutes!! LAGMONSTER!!!

Yeah, legacy looks super odd for me too, the text is all weird, HAs are like.. shrunken in a bit? And the ping buttons are all weird.

Iz and I got up and ate breakfast, went to church, stopped for donuts, went for a walk at the park, grocery shopped, then went for a long walk at the other park. Both pokemon-ing and just enjoying the beautiful day! It's about 56f and sunny out! I wore a skirt, too.. my ankles haven't seen teh light of day since August or September, so that was very exciting haha.

It poured down rain half the night....so I haven't been outside at all today lol

I did clean out the cabinet by the fridge and the junk drawer....

Not even going to try and quest with the lag but.. yayyyy, we seem to be working again! (... generally!).

Yesterday was GORGEOUS, Iz, Alex and I went for a long walk on the trolley trail and we ate burgers on teh grill.. today we had kielbasa and baked potatoes on the grill. Tomorrow it's going to rain, then back to cold and wintry mix on Thursday :(

Yes yes! Poor Keith. So much going on. I am glad legacy seems to be working better. Lag isn't horrible for me, but I'm not focused on quests because I'm trying to focus on lesson plans :P I'm distracting myself from BOTH at the moment, back and forth. I'm awful. I need about 3-4 more books, and then I have to do the details - (GELDS and video links, small group instructions and stuff like that). But then I'll have completed FIVE weeks of lesson plans YAY ME

I saved this virus for last - I don't really understand the progression? Like, I start with a shovel in my head, it appears to be "emptying" my body out, and then at the end, its like, smoke? And to me, reminds me of like a burnt out cigarette, which is nasty. But that's what the last stage makes me feel like it is, yet that has NOTHING to do with the rest of the stages? I am hoping to begin one more year 2012 virus, and if Keith gives us another freebie, that'll finish up 2012 for me. Leaving me working on 2014-2016 next year.

Today was Jolies birthday, I made up a recipe and it was pretty good, but not great.. I need to figure out the cheesecake layer more.

It was graham cracker crust, marshmallow no bake cheesecake, chocolate gananche, and then bruleed mini marshmallows on top. Yummy, though :P

We are getting a NEW new student!! Starting Monday. So we will be up to 19 students now. Another girl. Apparently, girls are the thing for the past couple years.... we've had more girls than boys the past three years. We will now have 8 boys and 11 girls.

I went to the bank yesterday. I am going to try and get the mortgage in my own name instead of Ryans. We took the first steps. She is supposed to call me back after my application gets completed and set up the inspection. (And hope to goodness the inspector does NOT notice the floor sank in the bedroom where it is most noticeable!!! or that leads to chaos and possibly no mortgage in my name).

And today I got an email. My principal wants to set up a REAL interview with me (for the 25th). Eeeek. I am now freaking out, wondering what position he wants to offer me (interview me for). I know for a fact there is a Kinder teacher retiring. But he's also noticed me stepping up and taking over the other PreK classroom (early AM the other teacher and para are ALWAYS late, and I go to their room so their kids can come in and unpack instead of standing in the hallway being disruptive) - and he knows I've been doing my student teaching in my classroom. And that I was planning to go to the job fair on the 26th LOL (not that i expected to get a job then, but I was going to go pass out my resume to anyone that was there).... So - there is a possibility he offers me a PreK spot. He knows I really want to be in PreK. But my gut says he is going to offer me the Kinder spot. Yeah - soooo now my mind is going to be all overstimulated and overwhelmed until that interview and I know what he is offering me. I have to decide the pros and cons of taking a kinder position vs maybe not even getting offered a PreK spot anywhere else...
