Oh thank Heavens the forums are finally working. I hate that crap. Idk about the new ones on Kumos either. I don't like much about that and I really need to try and learn how to do things because they eventually will fully move over. What I have tried for the most part is actually ok once I figure it out, but its a real pita to start with. Its so hard for me to understand and learn new things, and I'm also quite resistant to change. I HATE change. And some things I don't like at all.

But I hope something can be done so you can use it! I do NOT want to not have you be able to communicate here. That's horrible. 😭

I know all countries are different with what they provide there citizens. My job does give matrunity leave not sure how long they give tho. My job has good health insurane too. I work for LVHN so we do have good benifts. I have been looking for Phlebotomist jobs elswhere however none of them are paying enough for me to leave my current position. Plus they all want 2+ years of experience in phlebotomy. I haven't even reached a year yet. It will be a year in August. Im not sure if looking for a new job is the right move right now anyway. With courses starting in August maybe I should stick it out a little longer. maybe another year or two. Just to get more experience under my belt. Once I get the degree for health care coordinator I can go elswhere. I might even change my mind again on what I want to do. I really do not think that woking with the public is the right fit for me. I get to emotional quickly and act before I think. Like today, I had a doctor call the office to get clarification on why the script that they put in the system was not showing up on our end. I asked for the patients informationname and DOB but the doctor said that the patient gave me their informtion when they were at the lab. I said yes however we see a lot of patient troughout the day and I have no idea what patient you are refering too. He just kept going on about the patient giving me there information and I kept explaining that I can not search anything up without the patients name and DOB. I was getting furstated adn then he says that I need to contact my supervisor to find out how to do my job. I lost it and said Im done to the docotr and hung up. I know it was wrong to do that but If i would have stated on the line and contiuned the back and forworth I would have said much worse things. I called my supervsior and restated what happened and she basically took the doctors side saying that I need to tell the doctor that we can not look patients up but the code he recevied we canonly look up patients by name and DOB. Which I told this doctor over 5 times. Iwas so upset cause i felt like I was doing wrong when I wasnt. I saiid nothing wrong until I said Im done and hung up. I know I did wrong then. But everything elses I didnt do wrong right? The other Phlebotomist who was with me at the time then called the doctor back and asked the same informaiton as I did and she got it right away. I was so pissed off then. the doctor gave the patients information to the other phlebotomist no problem.That situation right there is why I am thinking I do not belong in the public eye. I did not have this many issues when I worked at the Daycare. Maybe I should go back, but then I lose my health insurance and pto. I really hate being an adult sometimes. most of the time actually.

I will definetly have to look into that game.

Its by Erin Hunter. Its basically about a bunch of different groups of cats that live in the wilderness. Sometimes they fight, sometimes they help eachother. I just find it very charming and endearing :)

I was trying to be as vague as I could be. If it's your first time playing the game, most likely you've condemned yourself to the dream at the end. Though it's also not a given that you make it to the island since you'll need to figure some things out about the case to make it there. And the game has so many ways to finish that you might mess things up.

My half-brother, his friend, and I were in the car. I started bringing up something big that happens near the end of the game. Since the friend had mentioned playing the game I figured he had finished it. He had not.

My half-brother and I quickly tried to cover up what I had been talking about.

RIGHT after I posted the forums spazzed again. I jinxed it I guess. Humpf. Anyway, we did get rain, but it was wonderful and cooled things down for a bit of relief. Thankfully no flooding. :)

I'm having sharp aching pain in my left hip and down into my thigh. Oddly sometimes the hip feels better, but mid thigh its been constant for over a week now. It's really just making me a bit cross - as someone understated - and I'm so sick of it. Nothing is really helping. I have had problems in my hip for years, arthritis and general degenerative crap. Lucky me! But not down into my leg. Idk what it is. Didn't fall or anything that I could point to and say, 'You did it!' Guess I need to see my ortho. It's not getting better. Sigh I really hate going to the doctor with a vague description. It usually means a vague answer. Between that and my left shoulder hurting all the time too, I am not happy and using quite a few colorful metaphors. I need some new ones. Would really appreciate a few suggestions. Mine are getting boring. lol

Oh for Heaven's sake! That doctor should have immediately given you the patient's name and DOB! It's ridiculous. He knows damn well that world-wide that is the information needed for any patient in any situation for any reason in every medical field!!! OMG crap like that just hacks me off to the full spectrum and then some.

hahaha will do a detaild version just for you. I am still debating on doing the avengers, space mountain & tower of terror ride. Not a big fan of those kind of thrill rides but never done them... so maybe i have to overcome my fear and just do them.... or not...

LVNH?? Phlebotomis??? as someone from europe you need to explain this to me. But it's god you got benefts. We all here have health insurance even if we don't have a job. We pay each month a bit and we just have it, i can use it for the doctor, hospital, dentist etc.

Honestly, whatever ending I come across I want to do so organically. I started playing the game bc its really special to my partner, so I want it to be an authentic experience :)

That's the best way to play the game for the first time. I don't remember looking up guides my first playthrough. I think the first time I didn't interact with characters that I couldn't stand. Only in other playthroughs did I grit my teeth and get through their content.

The hardest moment of my last playthrough for me was when Kim didn't trust me at a key moment of the game. I felt like my heart was torn from my chest because how could the most lovable character not trust me :'(

Advil and /or Aleve should also help. Interestingly, I'm having the same problem with my left hip. And this is after I got those steroid injections in both hips a couple of weeks ago. :S

@ - I've never read the stories. I'm guessing that you like fantasy? Have you ever read any "romantasy?" It's a mash-up of romance and fantasy. It's really fun to read. My favorite is the "Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J. Moss. :D

- 😆 :lauging: Sorry but your story set me off. 😂 I used to be a medical secretary and the main part of my job was to coral (herd) the doctors because, for all their knowledge, they can be some of the dumbest people I've ever worked with. 😂 Next time you get a doctor doing that to you, ask to talk to his nurse. She's the real brains behind the man and will give you the info you need instead of lording it over you. As if you only have one patient and you should know innately who he's talking about. 😆 Sorry. Ok, now in all seriousness, stick it out with your current employer until you get the requiste experience and then start hunting for a new position. You, honestly, should have no problem getting a better job. I live in Virginia and I don't think the situation changes much between here and where you live in Pennsylvania. Hang in there, it'll get better. :D

- a phlebotomist is someone who draws a patient's blood for various blood tests. It's probably a job you do yourself and that's why you don't recognize the name of the position. ;) Personally, I would go on at least one of the rides that scare you. It may turn out that they're not actually scary at all. Then again, you may honestly not like it and that's ok, but at least you will know definitively. :) I look forward to your detailed description of your visit. :D ❤

Oh, it isn't the sciatic nerve. That's down the back. I do have that once in a while, and it slams down the back of my hip to my heel. Horrible! No, this is down the outside middle of my hip and thigh. Have noticed that on my thigh it is a bit raised and about the size of my hand where it hurts the most, like its bruised. But not soft through swelling. It's hard. Idk. It just occurred to me as I wrote that had exactly that size of bruising (but soft and swollen) after I fell and rolled part way down the hill on concrete at the dump. But now I'm confused which side it was. The bruise was higher tho then. Wonder if it was the same leg and now connected? Having to go to an urgent care doctor (my primary care has no openings, but I do have a regular appt the 30th after labs and stuff) to get a freaking referral to see my ortho that I've been going to for a couple years now. Sigh Because I changed insurance at the beginning of the year. Then I will go see him. Really like him. Glad new ins covers him. So neat, only lost one doctor when I changed ins, and that one hadn't seen in 8 years, so no prob.

That flossing the nerve stuff I still don't understand. I know you described it once but I don't remember what you said. I do remember I still didn't understand even after you explained. lol I get moving muscle, bone, tendons, and ligaments, but not nerves.

Anyway, I hope whatever is causing the problems with forums in general, and with you being able to post in specific, gets solved. It just wouldn't be the same. Everyone in KS contributes and makes this place interesting and fun and close knit through shared experiences of our lives with the highs and lows, whether we always post or not, or lurk on the sidelines. But IMO your friendship through your comments, responses, info, etc, for KS adds a special vitality; a warm caring glow that is always felt, and wonderful humor, to our thread that is so important. I mean really, I always look forward to reading what you have to say, and spitting (or nearly) my drinks at your hysterical remarks and sharp wit. It is a bonus and makes my day. I know I'm not alone either. <3

Sorry I forgot you are not from my area. LVHN stands for Lehigh Valley Health Network. It is one of the main health network companies in my area. St Luke's is the other one. I am a phlebotomist. I draw pateints blood for testing. I also process the blood by spinning it in a centrifuge to get the plasma or serum from the whole blood to be tested at our lab. My health insurance is good mostly. The only real issue I have is that over $300 is taken out of my paycheck every two weeks for my insurance. I wouldnt care if it was once a month but every pay is killing me. That is over $600 coming out of my pay every month for health insurance that I only use when I go to the doctors.

You know my pain then LOL. I love my job but theses doctors do not know anything. I wish I could have talked to the dr's nurse but he doesnt have a nurse. What kind of doctor does not have a nurse. Not one that I have every seen. There wasnt even a answering system, it rang and the doctor answered. I am not touching that phone again. If I have to call for a patient fine I will but if the number I call does not give me to a nurse or secretary I am not talkingto them. And the measels thing just kills me. I was so self conscious even this morning that I put makeup on. I hate makeup. I feel fake with it on. But that was how horrible that comment made me feel. I had no issues today tho. Which I am more than happy with.

Where are you from if I can ask? I am in the pharmaceutical field so I know how entitled these doctors can get with stuff. It's ridiculous! Really! For me personally it's hard to deal with hateful folks but after years and years it comes easier to kill them with kindness and make them look like the jerk they are.

I am from a small town in Pennsylvania, about an hour from the Poconos. My supervisor makes me feel like I do not know what I am doing. I am relatively new to having to call doctors' offices. I never had to answer phones before. My job also never taught us how to call doctors' offices properly. How to talk to them and be professional. I only know what I am told; I can't read minds regarding doctors and patients. They all expect me to be able to understand what doctor they are at the lab for. But I see 3-8 scripts in the system from how many different doctors. How will I be able to tell them what doctor they need to see?

Sorry, I saw something about the sciatic nerve in my little feed and decided to poke my head in.

I recently, as in last November, herniated my L5-S1 disc, which compressed my S1 nerve so badly it would knock me to the floor any time I tried to move for days, and then took a total of 7.5 months to heal to the point the only symptoms I have are a faint tingling sensation in-between my big toe and the adjacent one on my right leg. Before that, though? Pain all the way down bum and outer thigh and calf. With about 5 months of physical therapy that was ALL about flossing those nerves. And strengthening my core. Because for 4 of those months we didn't know the extent of the compressed nerve due to herniation because that's how long it took to get approved for an MRI.

oh that what that is. I can't draw blood but others can, no need for a special someone to do that.

I understand the limitations their working under since my hubby and now my youngest are both programmers. Unfortunately, the blind are marginalized more then any other disability and I've learned to accept it even if I don't like it.:/ Ok, even though this isn't the problem, I asked my hubby how to describe flossing a nerve to you and he said, "You're not specifically moving a nerve when you 'floss' a nerve. You move the muscles the nerve is surrounded by in a motion that therefore moves the nerve through it's channels in the muscle and bone. So, you're really doing range of motion exercises and those 'floss the nerve.'" Does that make more sense? XD As for your problem with your hip, that sounds odd. Have you fallen more recently then at the dump? :)

- You should go give the new forums a try. You may actually like them. From what I understand there is a special way to do HA contests there now. The only other things I've tried are the quests (which I actually can do and like) and composting (which I can also do.) I'm not one for change either, I like things to stay the same but sometimes change is a good thing, like the new quests. :D

- Hi! Read above what I wrote to Chrysariel and see if you can add anything more to how to floss a nerve. I'm sorry you've had that experience. It sounds painful. I don't have the same problem as you. I have degenerative disc disease in my lumbar and sacral regions.It effects how I stand and walk. I also have femoral assitabular impingment syndrome in my hips which also effects how I stand and walk. One thing my Physical Therapist told me to do is floss the nerves but Chrysariel has never heard that before and doesn't understand the basics of the actual flossing. XD Oh, and, Welcome! :D

- I certainly know your pain. I worked on a Cardiac care floor at my local hospital. I'm sure you've run into a cardiac surgeon once or twice so you know they think their poo doesn't stink. Well, I hate to tell you... 😂 My advice to you is advice Lyric gave, kill them with kindness. Sometimes it is very difficult but kindness costs nothing and it makes them look like the donky's patootie that they really are.If I had to deal with that doctor then I would not have hung-up on him. That's admitting that he's won. He'll be worse the next time you have to deal with him (and it will happen.) I would have put him on hold very nicely, talked to your supervisor explaining the situation, and then transfered him to your supervisor. If your supervisor isn't the type to accept calls like that then transfer the doctor to them without explaining the transfer first. It's easier to ask forgiveness then permission. ;)

- Space Mountain it is, then! I'm p4roud of you and hope you like it although I'll understand if you don't. You'll have to go on the Haunted Mansion ride, too. That one is just plain fun! :DOh! I have to tell you what my hubby got me! A Barbie doll! It's not just any Barbie doll, either. It's a blind Barbie doll! She comes with a little red and white cane and a pair of dark glasses. The name "Barbie" is spelled out on the package in braille. It's so neat! And she's not alone, apparently, Mattel has made a whole line of diasabled Barbie dolls. There's one with an insulin pump (Type 1 diabetes,) one with hearing aids, and one in a wheelchair among many others. I think it's really cool that they've done this. It helps the disabled feel a little more mainstream, like their not the weird ones that we sometimes feel like. :D ❤

- Ouch. Oof. Owie. I have a degenerating disc in the middle of my back that thankfully isn't pressing any nerves or anything. Still hurts at nighttime, though. This little stint with a back injury gives me much insight into how Very Not Fun yours sounds.

Not just for the blind but for those who prefer audiobooks as they can do other things while listening to books. For KDP there's an easy way to make audiobooks and I can split earnings with the person reading the book. But nothing split between two is just nothing.
