It looks as if a few people have mentioned this already - It happened to me yesterday but I didn't take note, today when it happened again, I took notes.

So I had 2 items, listing the item for sale in the NPC shop (showing a NPC shop price on the main quest page but NOT in the quest bar when the page changed). When clicking the NPC shop price link it took me right to the NPC shop, and NOT the purchase item page. These two items were for Pete - Blueberry Fruit Chews and Blueberry Gummy Lungs - I assumed yesterday perhaps the stock ran out but the script maybe didn't update yet? But then this happened again today. I cannot remember if it was the same items however.

The other item was a quest for Mauve - when I click the NPC price shown it goes to a 404 error page - the item was Lacy Pink Nightgown - and again I think this happened with this item yesterday but cannot be certain it was the same item, I do know it happened at least twice on an item yesterday.

I was able to purchase the items another way and complete the quests, but thought it should be mentioned what is going on with the links/shops/whatevers.

I got the same issue as Kat77 - I was asked to buy an item, shown that it was in stock in an NPC shop, but when I clicked to go buy it, I landed on the main shop page. When I searched for the item, it was shown in the shop, but there were 0 in stock. So I had to buy it from a user store anyways.

I just wanted to provide positive feedback: It's so awesome that Runway Ready gives out retired items as the prize pool. I have a some expensive r101 items on my wishlist and it's been nice to earn them through questing instead of just buying it from user shops at inflated prices. E.g. I just got Freylise book (technically a retired item right now) that I get to read to my pet. It definitely feels like I'm being rewarded for questing. This is also the main reason I still do Major Drills quests: because there's a chance that I can get retired and expensive items on my wishlist. In comparison to the original quests, I don't feel any urgency to do the quests since the rewards are only restocking items.

My thoughts on the quests after doing them for a couple of weeks.

1)The Kumos Pete quests are awful. Four items per quest and the rewards are much lower than doing the ordinary Pete quests which ask for 1 or 2 items. 2)I like the Runway Ready quests - a good sP reward plus the chance of some valuable retired items.
3)Purely Decorative Weaponry is useful for getting rid of the low rarity weapons I get from Battle Quests and Maleria gives out items as well unlike the ordinary Maleria quests. 4)The Old Wizard quests are useful for getting extra Wizard tokens. 5)Saggitarius quests are a bit unpredictable for rewards but I haven't lost sP yet. 6) Miss Maybel's Minion Quest and Sticker Resistance are OK but only if I have nothing better to do.

Trying more quests on desktop and the Kumos user shop buttons jump all over the place. Not sure why that would be. I'm guessing the longer shop names are causing the inconsistency. Questing would feel smoother if the buy buttons stayed in the same spot from tab to tab.

Same issue as Kat and Marina. The items in question were not available in the candy shack on the kumos site, but when I checked search shops on old subeta, they were fully stocked. Was able to complete the quest fine, just some weird glitch with the candy shack maybe? Been liking the other quests so far. thanks!

Day three of having the infinite quest bug on both Saggitarius and Maybel. Maybel remains stuck at "1 out of 5" and Saggi at "5 out of 5" with neither number progressing no matter how many quests I do for either.

That's not what I was referring to but it's a great point that I was also thinking about, but I hadn't come up with a way to word it as well as you so I hadn't brought it up yet! I'm really glad you did and I totally agree. What you're talking about is more of a refinement of site design that we're used to from the classic site, whereas I was just reporting an actual bug. The popup shouldn't be appearing behind the edge of the frame it's in; that's just malfunctioning. But the fact that it always opens up that way (down and to the right) probably does exacerbate the issue because we can't try to force it to open where it would be visible by scrolling the page that way.

I have not encountered any "infinite" quests. Pete gave out a liitle more money yesterday, but he is still a chore.

I am not a fan of questing to begin with, it's just a necessary task. Yet Kumos needs sooo much attention, scrolling, clicking (,waiting because pages load/move slowly), searching - it's a pain and eats much to much time.

oh, yeah, the item click pop up hiding at the top quest bar, right! We did mention that when it started happening. Poor Keith has such a lot to read here on top of his work, I keep thinking, if several people address the same problem - with different wording, he will more likely understand, what we're brabbling about, lol.

Maybel's quests no longer stuck on 1 out of 5 and repeating but Saggitarius is still infinitely stuck on 5 out of 5 for me.

I am not sure if I should keep reporting items that give errors? Yesterday I had no issues (I also am NOT having any infinite quests like some others are, just so you know its not everyone). And I agree that Pete asking for 4 items is a lot, especially for such small rewards - however I do always make a profit, so I keep doing them.

But today for my quests - on the quest page the item was listed as being in the NPC shop with a NPC shop price and when I click that link to go purchase it, I got a 404 error. And again, when on the shop search page or another page besides the original quest page, there is NOT a NPC price listed for the item in the quest bar.

I’m having the same problem but just with Maybel’s quests. Stuck on 2 out of 3 with infinite repeats for almost a week now, I believe. Just stopped doing them for now as I’m not sure what else to do haha.

Hello! I'm a new player but maybe thats valuable in itself What I like about the Kumos quests is the relationship building and that you get exposed to more items via the unique NPCs, this sometimes works with the regular quests but still, I love getting to see what minions exists or whatever while doing the Kumos quests. I also like that you can see what items have already been collected. But man, they are laggy - the way the layout keeps jumping around as it loads things in and stuff is kind of driving me nuts. Doing the regular quests may take longer in reality, but feels that much faster cause it is just a lot more responsive and I got a nice rhythmic flow going of opening tabs that has a zen grindy vibe that reminds me of things like minecraft strip mining lol. The only error I ever get there is from buying things too fast, and idk if that limit is dropped in the kumos quests or if I just don't run into it because of responsiveness, but on Kumos I seem to constantly run into 404s (and not even with the cute experiment :( ) caused from the site just choking on itself. I once had Saggitarius ask for an item that was nowhere in stock, idk if that is intended, it bugs me that he's the only one where I'm lagging 1 reputation point behind now :') Also this is probably not a question you really want to answer but are the reward prices calculated based on the user shop prices? Feels like it. At some point a couple of days ago Saggitarius was asking for an item that was like, idk, 500.000sp or something crazy (at least for me) but also an NPC had it in stock for maybe 4000? I made so much money it was great

Was asked for this item twice for the Runway Ready quest - it's R83 but there are none for sale in user shops

When trying to do quests which say an item is available in a Kumos NPC shop I sometimes get a 404 error. When I've gone to the NPC shop using the Commerce, Main Shop menu on the Kumos site to check if there are any in stock it will sometimes show there are some of the item in stock. It's like the Kumos NPC shops aren't updating the figures for what's in stock and how many of them are in stock.

More and more shop items throw the 404, even though some have 40+ in stock - I did buy one with only 3 left and emptied another one to 0, so it is not necessarily related to stock numbers...

I again received a buildable scroll from Runway Ready - I feel this should definitely not happen! I liked, how Maleria asked for them, but we should craft them (and other selfmade items) ourselves!

The runway quests are broken for me. I've been at 3/5 remaining for like three days.

I also just wanna say Pete's quests suck. He asks for more items than anyone else and gives crap rewards. Everyone else feels at least decent, though.

Is the item pool supposed to be this limited? I turn in the same four or five items to each quest giver every day. It's gotten to where I just go ahead and buy multiples the first time one pops up because I know I'll be back for more.

Maybel is giving around 10k payout, why? i already feel obligated to do them for fear of losing reputation points (except pete, i am not searching for 4 items unless he pays waaaay more, my time is money you know)

I guess thats not the intention, but Mauve is going to the same direction as earlier tests with Saggi payout! that said mankini that was not in shops before, but since its now for 55m, they gave a 50m reward... i want money but like this is not the way 👀

I gambled 100 mil. for the Yellow Mankini and only got a 50 mil. payout RIP. Keith, can I get a refund lmao. 😂

I've also been skipping Maybel, Pete, and Rumi's quests because the payout is way better on the other quest givers since they ask for more expensive items.

Serious exploit: Out of curiosity, I bought all the remaining Saffron Draped Maxi Skirt (75k each) and tossed it into my shop for 30 mil. The Kumos shop price updated to 30 mil. I just made 45 mil. off of it. Yikes. I don't know what the solution is, but seems like there needs to be a stricter limit and a wider pool of items being asked. A lot of these items being asked could easily be bought up and have their price inflated to manipulate sP quest reward.

As I have said before in this topic, many years ago there was an experiment with the Saggitarius quests where the more expensive the items were in player shops the higher the reward. Inflation for Saggitarius quest items went through the roof with questers getting millions in rewards. In the end this experiment was abandoned.
