I'm excited! I'm new to where I've moved and have been pretty socially isolated for the past 6 years (the place I lived I moved to right before Covid and it was also rural and I'm a stay at home mom -> not circumstances conducive to friendship lol) so it will be nice to have a group of people to familiarize myself with and chat with regularly <3

I'm so exhausted today.. I've spent the month cleaning out my grandfather's estate who passed away on the 28th of February, driving an hour back and forth almost daily while my son is in school. I love long drives but not when I'm under time constraints - and though it doesn't feel like spring quite yet, highway construction is now in full swing -_- It's been nice to help my family out by doing this but I'm running out of steam.. The date I need to have things cleared out of his retirement condo is the 31st so there is an end to this back and forth in sight. Now time to wrap things up here at the condo and drive to my son's school, weeee.

That is a lot and your doing it all by yourself? Happy to be some friends to lean on I have one kid myself. How old is your son? I've been feeling kinda lonely myself in rl all my friends moved and hr or so away

Sorry I've been so lame in replying. Yesterday was my hubs birthday and our daughter and I both got sick. And I'm still so sick and not sure what it is. My guess is a flu but we did have flu shots so I don't know. At least we don't have fevers just sore throats and nausea.

Wow! You've had a lot on your plate! And I'm sorry about your grandfather's passing. I hope the rest of it goes smoothly and you can get it all finished in time. I took care of my mother's home when she passed and it was an hour away so I get it.

I’ve been doing a lot by myself, yeah. My dad is local to the residence but is just getting a business started as well as dealing with all the legal/admin stuff. My grandfather died in the middle of the sale of his condo so that also complicated the sale a bit, there’s been a lot going on lol. My grandfather’s other child lives in San Francisco; she helped out a lot during the week of the funeral but left town a couple weeks ago. Today I drove down to meet some movers to have stuff shipped to her. I’ve mostly been doing Goodwill runs and meeting with a lot of people from the FB Marketplace. Things are looking good though. Last summer when we moved my grandfather into his retirement cottage we did a major purging so thankfully we’re not dealing with a large estate! And my son is 6 years old, in kindergarten :) He’s a big sweetie, his name is Fenris. I had to bring him with me today as it’s his first day of spring break. How old is yours? And yeah I consider myself a rather introverted person and don’t care for entertaining superficial friendships with people irl but after years of having little to no social interaction other than my husband and child, I am feelin’ real lonely. I recently relocated nearer to my family and where I grew up (grew up in IL, just moved to WI) but they’re an hour away and I haven’t been mobile (husband uses our car for work - I’ve been mobile this month because I inherited my grandfather’s car, which is nice).

I’m sorry you and your daughter are not feeling well : I had the flu a couple weeks ago and feel like I’m getting sick again (maybe just exhaustion tho). So many people I know all over the country have been sick in the last month! Ugh. I hope you both feel better soon. I’m sorry about your mother; the hour drive the first few times doesn’t seem so bad but once you get past the 10th or so it’s grueling lol. Ah, I lived in the Seattle area from 2011 to 2019 before I moved to Maine (where I was before I recently moved to the Midwest). I lived in Mukilteo for a couple years and then later lived in Seattle (Belltown, Fremont, Northgate). The construction in that area is no joke.. I remember being pregnant coming home from work in the summer heat stuck on the freeway, the AC in my car broke, and just sobbing because I was so miserable and there was no way out lmao.

I wouldn't mind the heat by the master bedroom has a skylight and a wagon wheel window both facing south so if it's hot out it's hot in the bedroom. Ugh

When you're exhausted it's much easier to get sick so I hope you aren't getting sick! Oh wow I grew up in Lynnwood. ☺️About 10 years ago I Ubered in downtown Seattle and years ago, when traffic wasn't bad, I worked in an office building in Seattle so I'm very familiar with it. I'm in Kent now. My mom passed away so long ago but I still remember how much work it was and especially since my daughter was still in school so I know how difficult it must be for you. She's 28 and autistic so I am her caregiver but I always say I have the best job in the world.

We don't have Chapter's down here, but I'm guessing it's equivalent to Barnes & Noble ^0^ Yeah it can be a small pain to return things to Amazon. Bahaha you're hooked on the Dramione 😂

I didn't find anything too thrilling but today we went to this weird store we have called Discount Direct and Liz found 2 of her favorite lip balms. Her being ticked was good enough. :-) That's great Jesse is learning to read! And also great that Harper is being a pain in your rear! 🤣J/K! I used to have such mixed feelings over summer break - I loved not having to do the school routine and having Liz home more often but I hated losing my nap time. LOL

I have an AC unit too but I go up to the bedroom early for some me time and if I turn it on I can't hear the TV so I sit there and sweat. The room is unnaturally hot due to the window placement.

I guess it is luck at that! I usually take 4 but one day recently there were too many possible words and I didn't get it at all

the last place I lived in WA was near Kent, in Des Moines, and I used to work at the theater at the Alderwood Mall ages ago. Maybe we've crossed paths, small world! What a lovely thing to be able to do for your daughter. My next door neighbor in Maine did the same for her daughter (around the same age as well).

Discount Direct is a local store and they get most of their stuff from Target, Walmart and Costco. It's so much fun! I just read an article about picking kids up from school and how it is so common these days. What a pain in the rear! Hopefully when Harper starts school their schedules are the same.

I guessed you were smarter than me! LOL I just looked up Fahrenheit to Celsius and my room goes up to 26+ in the summer. And the connecting bathroom can reach 35. 😯
