- Me? Positive? My hubby would laugh you right out of this thread! He thinks I'm the most pesimistic person born, says I'm always looking at the "doom and gloom." 😂 😆
- Yeah, that's not going to help as hubby is a bear right now. I will try to link them in order of use: That's my basic weapons set for both pets to use eventhough my lower pet is tier 5 and doesn't battle yet. My higher pet is tier 9 right now. Oh, and thescrolls: [morosbane] I hope this helps and really appreciate any help you can toss my way. :D
- snugglehugs You're back for a bit? Yay! How are the kiddies doing? How are you doing? :D
- Only my favorite books or series, honestly. If they don't give me a resounding "Aha" moment somewhere in their depts then I eon't really read them any more. Another of my favorites is Robert Jordan. I love how Sanderson finished the series for him. It was really well done. Do you like crime books? Early Patricia Cornwall books, the Scarpetta series would do you well. They have satisfying endings for the most part. She gets a little formulaic the further on she goes in the series. Also, another unlikely book, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. Loved the country side of the story, it was very satisfying. Didn't like the city side of the story. The woman was soulless. :D
waves and - Welcome back! :D
For some reason, fantasy series can be great for that kind of moment. Some of the fantasy series I remember feeling had great aha moments - Patricia McKillip's Riddle Master of Hed had four or five of them; Robert Jackson Bennett's Divine Cities series had a bunch; Daniel Abraham's Long Price Quartet had just a few but each was extra satisfying to me; Lois Bujold's Penric series had several.
And for standalone fantasy novels, The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie, was a standout for me for three or four big ones mid to end of the book.
- You always have so many good recommendations. All of those are going on my list. Not sure when I'll get to them as Elizabeth George just relased another book in her Lynly series that I must read so I'm off to do that! :D
Another great HA!
That's so cute that he's a people person at such a young age! He must have a lot of confidence. This is supposably our last slightly hot day! 👏🏼
I'm hoping to get that item and I'm guessing you are too.
I'm just glad you're doing ok now!
🤣That's funny!!
I'm pretty much like that too but I strive not to be a pessimist. And I'm not sure if I'm winning or failing.
- Well, we'll try together. ❤ :D
when you get to them, let me know if you like them!
definitely would love that cat for sure, might not get it this year but I'm sure it'll probably be cheaper next year if not. I could make such a great HA dressing up to match the cat though lol
It's not easy and I'm sure it's a lot harder for you!💜💜
I'm sure if anyone could make it work, it's you!!
argh I just saw the cat pendant on a refresh of the shop but I didn't click it fast enough sad
Better today, yesterday was blech.. with it being the first day of that time of month and i had a headache, ugh. Today is better thankfully as I have to go grocery shopping and run some errands in town.
Thanks, how are you?
Its not when we're trying to get him to understand something and he's just clueless 😑
[center] 🌹 👻 Sept
Dang that's frustrating! I hope we both get it soon.
I'm sorry, were we talking about your son? Actually sounds like my hubs!
maybe not soon but eventually we will both have pirate cats of our own, I feel sure.
- I will certainly do that. :D Right now I've just finished a Brandon Sanderson anthology, darned if I can remember the name though. Only 1 story in it I liked but, of course, he noted in an aside that there were no other stories from that setting in any other of his works. facepalm Started the new Elizabeth George, "A slow dying cause" and it's promising. I love the way she sets up her characters to be either the murder victim or the accused. . :D
- We can do it. We're women. We can do anything! 😂 Had a discussion with hubby today about why he won't let me cut his hair. I used to cut it before I lost my sight and tried to convince him I still could do it. He just didn't believe me for some reason. :laughiing:
- I'mn doing well, the stars are in alignment. You? Read any good books lately? Sorry I haven't kept up with my goodreads profile. I keep forgetting about it. XD
I believe we will!! I just checked prices and almost bought one. Just under 4 mil now. 😯
OK that made me LMAO! At least your hubs is smart about that! 🤣I used to cut my hubs hair too. You are the epitome of a strong woman!!💜
- lmao He has so little faith. XD If so, why do I feel so weak? XD
You shouldn't feel weak after all you've survived!💪🏼🔥Seriously!!
I really liked some of Elizabeth George's more comedy mysteries when I read them, it's been 20 years or so since then, you're making me consider checking one (or a few) out again
here's hoping the price comes down a bit further!
The price has gone up a little but I'm going to keep checking!
Hii! hugs tight They are doing really good! Growing up too fast DX How are you doing?!
He does! He's so lucky tbh. I was such a shy kid who had so little confidence and low self esteem. So I'm glad he's nothing like me 😂 He must get it from his father lol. Yasss! I bet you're relieved! It's sorta cooling off here but not enough for my liking yet 😭 This next week it's going to be in the 70's, which is definitely much better than 80's+. So I can't complain too much 😂
Oh man, worst time of the month for sure DX You're into fanfics right? My friend recommended one too me it's called The Debt of Time, it's a Sirius Hermione one and HOLY FUDGE. It's one of the best things I've ever read. It's long AF at 750k+ words and I'm only halfway through but my god. Worth the read. I'm a bit annoyed it's not on Goodreads so I can't mark it that I'm reading it -_- Dramione is still my favorite but this one is chef kiss
I knew you had mentioned you had been a shy kid so I was surprised he's so outgoing. He must be a really fun kid and will probably a popular one too. Omg we keep getting "one more hot day" and hopefully this is really it. Not even that hot but sunny and low 70's. Fall weather will officially start tomorrow here and I've already promised myself to not complain about so much rain until May. 🤣
