I’m excited looking into more ways to interact, as the beginning it felt a little robotic.

I have no concerns about the Mysterious Melody gift exchange. My only comment is that when I am at that kumos website, I cannot use the Subeta, Social, or Commerce drop down boxes at the top of the screen because they all fall behind Melody's talk box at the top of the screen.

, I am glad you're taking feedback for more personal touches. I like those ideas of ways to communicate throughout the day to make it feel more connected. I am excited about that.

I did want to add to the others who say that they've received some of their items back. It's not a big deal, but I am finding this to be my experience as well. I wonder if it has something to do with the price point of the other items as it was possibly the more expensive item I donated this time.

--- day two experience--

I kept to my price point of gifting items 500-1 mil value in the shops currently.

I got five items again, and while 2 were 1-5K, they were festive and fit well with the theme. Obviously, it was, it was thoughtfully placed! (Peppermint cupcake and a gingerbread item.) I did get a SBQ item and felt pleased with that.

Overall, I'm thinking that we are all approaching this cautiously as far as value. I am still quite happy with the improvements and potential to get grouped with more dedicated players in time. Can't wait to see how this continues to evolve!

Day two experience - I ended up having 7 items, im not sure why! Is it just because one participant only offered one item, so he had less - thus giving more to the others?

I know that people who do not participate at all (aka 0 contributions) are left out of the pool, or only get a melody item. However, what happens to people who offer only one item? It seems rather intentional to only offer one so that you can escape the "not getting anything" while also contributing as little as possible.

I'm personally really enjoying this new MM format, and am happy to hear we'll be able to add emojis and reactions throughout the day <3

My day two experience:

Contributed 5 items 300-600K in value. Got six items back in 4 in the 100K range, 2 in the 20-50k range. No WL items, but a currency and overall a nice mix. I'm pretty content with it, though I am very curious as others are how it will start pairing once it has some data to work with!

I received one of my own items back in yesterday's MM (Dec 10). It seems like that shouldn't be possible from the MM documentation?

i really really love this event idea. the first round was excellent but the second round i got 3 of my own items :< my personal feedback is that the blue border around the pink border is kind of confusing to me - can we do away with the pink border around the items in the final round? maybe its just cuz im done

I am actually liking this. Pretty low pressure.

I didn't like the old version of mm as I didn't like feeling like I needed to continuously gift and/or a theme all day of higher priced items. I didn't get how to do themes as all I wanted to do was give the nice things I hoarded away.

It's almost like the secret santa that I had been asking to return. (though I still miss that version as I liked throwing some cheaper event items in and getting fairies or other cheap event items back) I'm usually too lazy to look though my hoarded things but for five items a day I will.

Detailing my two-day experience here as well!

First Day

I contributed 5 items ranging from 56k to 480k in value and received items from 175k all the way up to 4.9m I also got a moderately priced WL item in the 200k range. So I was pretty thrilled with this haul over all.

Second Day I contributed 5 items ranging from 53k to 1.9m in value with most of them being around 249k-975k. This time I received items from 34k to 1.7m. Three of the items were under 100k, but were very useful. I also got a WL item worth 600k. So I was pretty happy with this haul overall as well, even though there are some items I won't be using.

I think the stars marking the items we received are much better than the blue boarder, but I am thoroughly confused by the orange boarder around certain items. So an explanation for that would be appreciated!

Overall, I am really liking this system so far though and actually look forward to contributing everyday!

Edit: I actually have not received any of my own items either day.

Edit 2: Also wanted to state that so far, everyone in both of my groups have contributed 5/5 items and that Melody donated 8 each time.

Day one gave me 0/5 of my own gifts back.

Day two gave me 3/5 of my own donated gifts back. Day two was also glitched for several hours after joining the exchange. (I have a thread about it in the event bugs) It has since been fixed.

Day three is bugged, as of 1:08am Subeta time Melody is still running from day 2 and didn't distribute anything. Day three gave me 0/5 of my own gifts back.

I wanted to give new feedback...I looked at my day 2 and it shows blue stars of items received (which is accounted for and appreciated)

day 2-I got a couple of my items back too. I am not mad as I can use them in the future, but I hope it's fixed for other users' sakes! Especially when I plan to give better items closer to Christmas!

I see yellow borders - figured out, they are on Cash Shop items.

Here's my dream MM, based on this new functionality:

First, one participates as normal to earn rapport with the system as a quality MM. Then, you opt in for a new style where you re-prioritize the five gifts as such:

The first (which you select when you opt in to MM for the day) is themed after what YOU like, (it still gets sent random to other folks) but then based on that first, "clue" gift, you can guess what kind of gift to send to each participant.

Like, I put in a ~500k ice themed wearable, that's in the vein of what I'd like. Perhaps folks could see your past clue gifts too, to build a bigger picture and reward participants who are consistent enough to keep their place. Maybe you could ask Melody if that person already owns an item before you send it, too.

When the MM starts, you're shown everyone's clue gift, and you pick a gift for each person, based on that clue. Melody can just keep doing her thing.

So you wind up with more personalized gifts from everyone, a possible Melody gift, and a possible clue gift from another participant.

Maybe let folks vote on the most accurate gifter, too? idk.

Thus would definitely be a down the line project. But I know that there's a certain lack of opportunity for information and feedback in this format that has some folks bummed, even though its... kinda tangibly more solid and fair.

Or maybe yall already considered a system like this and couldn't implement it for whatever reason.

That makes so much sense now! Thank you for figuring that out and letting me know. I just double-checked on my end within my groups and all items with the orangey-yellow border are in fact cash shop items.

that's understandable, i've been matched with people who didn't end up participating in the old format and it is a bummer! i'm really excited for all the upcoming features, especially any that can make the exchanges more personalized and with more interaction. thanks for being open to our feedback and everything you've done to revive mm!

Am I not seeing how to collect today's MM or did Melody forget to distribute at midnight?
