Hii! :D I was Lumos for a very long time (around 14 years, my online usernames/nickname was LumoxFoxx), I definitely needed a change!

It's finally the weekend! I'm so ready for a rest.

- Yes, we do. I don't know how I'd get through most of the messes I get in without them. ❤

- Well, I can deal with cold, just not bitter cold. I love it when it's between 50-60f but hate it when it gets to 76f and above. Although the arthritis doesn't love the cold. It would rather be in 90f degree weather whichI abhor. XD

- A grumpy duck. lmao! I can see that now. I think I would surprise you all with how grumpy I do get. 😆 You need to get a season/yearly pass to the amusement park just so you can destress on the rides. :) How do you get such students all the time? I, personally, think everyone has problems they bring to work. It's a matter of professionalism as to if/when you show those problems to your co-worker. I had a dozen problems going on when I worked but no one at work knew about them except one nurse I would chat to when the lights were low and everyone was asleep. Some people just don't know how to do that and so you need to teach them. Perhaps this is your opportunity to teach a student how to act when they've come down sick? :D ❤

Honestly I have a very small temperature range that I prefer so there is that. Yeah arthritis doesn't like much, so that's hard I'm sure. I'm just waiting on this funk I'm in to go away.

- I think we're all in a funk. I can't seem to shake mine either and I didn't think seasonal changes effected me. Maybe it's just that we all need a good night's sleep. Hubby bought us all new pillows and my neck has had a crick in it since I started using mine. 😂

- That's a good thing to ask for your birthday. Plus, if you tell them now they'll have 9 months to save up for it. I think you need one good day of sleep. Do nothing but sleep. You'll feel better afterwards. And just remember, it may be cold out now but we're headed towards Spring. Pretty soon all the flowers will be blooming. :) And yes, I can get grumpy. I just don't show it here. ;) :D

- I would except that they're in the garbage and gone by now. My old pillow had like 3 feathers left in it it was so flat. I think I just need to readjust to having a pillow that actually works as a pillow. 😂

- Zombies!! I'm looking forward to the new stuff although I still haven't gotten the stuff from the new year's shop yet. I'm falling behind. :/ Oh, no! LOL I can understand that, mine have to be pretty flat other than my special neck pillow as I have so much neck issues.

It's one of those days.. Walked out the door, still had my warm fluffy slipper on so back and changed to shoes. Then i was out the door again, adjusted my winter headband (cold ears otherwise) and felt i forgot my glasses.. pff. Went back and got them. At work i dropped everything, tripped over my own feet... Glad to be home on the couch! lol!

Anyway guesswho just booked her summer vacay?! Me! Disney here i come again! But a day longer!!!

Hello all. I hope everyone is doing okay! (Haven't gone back and "caught up").

We're taking things one day at a time right now, as many folks are I'd bet. The US news is a new level of awful and scary pretty much daily, so I'm walking the fine edge of staying informed without becoming flooded and triggering my survival responses. (I tend to hit critical overwhelm of both emotion and stress, which triggers "shut down" mode where I alternate numbness with panic / depression).

We miss Cody deeply. At times I am "okay" and have some peace and acceptance, at times the grief is painful, at times I catch my mind defaulting to the old "normal" and not connecting yet that his absence is lasting.

My MIL ended up back in the hospital with pneumonia, but it was caught early and tended to quickly and she's back home after only a few days. She's doing well all things considered.

My current foster Lark the wolfdog is doing fairly well. She's got an uphill climb but we've already made huge strides and now we're looking for the right forever home for her. Praying my friend who owns the rescue Lark is backed by gets this property we were looking at, because if she does and if it goes quickly Lark could end up staying with her permanently in a sanctuary setting which would be amazing.

While we would love to relocate to a country where things are in a much better state, we are currently looking at simply relocating within the US so we are in a community that more aligns with our values and that we feel safer expanding our family (having kids) in. The whole thing feels a bit overwhelming and daunting, but there's some excitement there too. It's a lot to think about and we're still in the early stages. The hardest part would be leaving our families and losing the great work team Johnny has and the connections / clients / community I have related to work would be hard. Rebuilding my business in a totally new area feels nerve-wracking. We're going to keep praying over things and just hope we have the discernment to help us know what the best choices are for us.

We adopted a trio of Chinchillas two days ago. They're settling in and I am enjoying putting together their habitat and gradually introducing them to the kitties. They're such cute and interesting little creatures. This is Atlas (light gray) and Pid (white) and this is Shinobu. Their names come from our favorite "comfort show" Bob's Burgers. In short, one of the main characters (a young girl named Loiuse) has a class pet who is a chinchilla. The students name the chinchilla "Princess Little Piddles" (Pid's full name) but Louise secretly calls him Shinobu and another student who is a key part of the plot of the episode calls him Atlas.

Bob's Burgers is my comfort show and LOTR is my comfort film, along with my beloved Princess Mononoke. I also tend to watch the Poirot films and the Dan Brown films as "nap" movies, and cycle through a few other familiar ones like Homeward Bound, Lion King, Tangled, Elf, and Jurassic Park.

I'm finally getting around to finishing the Throne of Glass series, and we started watching a show called Resident Alien which is very funny!

Subeta-wise I haven't been active at all (obv) but I'm catching up on my amazing groups <3 , writing some stories, and easing back into some pet goals. I am also looking to adopt a LN pet so if anyone has some they are considering putting UFA feel free to reach out!
