What's everyone up to?

Finally got to playing the Alan Wake DLC. Had some really heart breaking moments and other times I was just laughing. Mainly whenever Barry was onscreen.

I have no idea what that is. Glad it is enjoyable. :)

I'm debating on what to do after I'm done questing.

Basically the first Alan Wake game is about Alan trying to rescue his wife (Alice) from an eldritch horror. At the end of the game Alan manages to switch their places but now he is trapped in the home dimension (Dark Place) of the eldritch horror.

The Signal (DLC) I played today was about how a force of good tried to help Alan so the man could get out of the Dark Place.

That is the EXTREMELY simplified version of the game because the lore of the series gets really complicated really quickly XD

DLC stands for downloadable content. So it's extra stuff added after the game's release. This specific DLC is a bonus story set after the events of the game where you see how Alan is doing.

Edit: DLC doesn't have to take place after a game. In Control (another game set in the same universe) I stumbled across a large DLC by accident. The boss battle in it was brutal XD

Oh ok. Yeah that's pretty neat. Is that something you're doing for fun or do you code for a job as well?

I play games both for fun and I do make a little money from it.

The 'Jash Reads' and 'Twitch' links in my signature are where I keep the gameplay. I stream first on Twitch and then export to YouTube.

Luckily there is no coding as I can't do that. You make a tiny mistake in coding and the world explodes.

Oh OK I got you. I have a rough understanding of Twitch one of my sisters has or had one.

My apologies for being absent-ish. This was my first week back at work, so I had less time throughout each day to chat and stay on top of things. I will potentially be quiet for the coming week as well, as my beloved boy Cody passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday around 1am. I am still figuring out how to process and carry this loss.

Wow haven't been online for almost 4 days! Sorry about that.

Went to the efteling on tuesday (day off and it's a dutch theme park). Had a blast it was still in winter theme with bonfires, hot chocolate, christmas trees, etc. As it was a tuesday and no holiday it was 'quiet' at the park. No waithing times and i went in everything i wanted, some 2/3 times.

Wednesday and thursday evenigshifts and they where busy so tired when i got home and woke up.

Today (friday) had to get up early as dad with his car (i can't drive) took me to get my giveaway gift from a pet store in the next town. The cats love it. It looks like and old tv but they can sit in it and on top is it. They love it.

This afternoon i was at work (again... i am more at work then home). I have a student i had a talk with and with school and my boss. Long story short she got terminated from the job/school, she was not getting it and had so many changes she did not take advance or help from it so she had to stop. Pff.. don't like to do these things....

And i now have a half free day of relaxing, couch potato and rest as i am back to work the whole weekend...

Life happens, totally understand that. Speaking of, I was clearing thick ice off the patio, and kicking the ball for my dog and BANG fell right on my back and somehow totally messed up my thumb. I'm good pretty much but my thumb is lie 3x it's size and bruised.

I have a 3-day weekend as Monday is Martin Luther King Day and my job finally honors it by letting us off.

Anywho I hope I can enjoy it as it was my dominate thumb...someone else is making dinner tonight. LOL
